Hi All A7600F Owners,
I have successfully ported a CM13 MediaTek ROM over to our beloved Lenovo A7600F.
Updated 14/12/2016 To fix non-booting ROM
This is for the original tablet only!
The ROM was pre built so I have not compiled it from source, however I have put in many hours to optimise and tweak various aspects to try and ensure a stable experience. I am not sure who to credit for the initial ROM compiling, so if you feel this is you work let me know so I can credit you properly.
If you flash this it is at your own risk, your warranty will be void and I will not be responsible for any bricks! I will however offer advice where and if I can.
I know this is not a very popular device so It may be that no one tries this ROM, if you do please could you leave some feedback for me.
Now on to the good part.......
Rooting The A7600F
1. From 4.4.2 and 4.2.2 this can be gone easily with the KingRoot app.
2. Here is a file and script that will replace KingRoot with SuperSu if you wish to stay on stock Lenovo ROM.
KingRoot2SuperSu
3. If you are flashing CM13 you do not need to waste time changing the root app.
Installation Of Custom Recovery
1. You must have a custom recovery installed. I have only tried this ROM with TWRP. This is the version I have been using;
A7600F TWRP 3.0.2.0
2. Once downloaded unzip and place the recovery.img in the root of your internal storage on the device.
3. Install a Terminal emulator app form the play store or open up the app if you already have one. Once opened type the following and hit enter.
su
If the app has not been opened before it will now ask for root permissions. Grant it.
4. Type the following command to install the recovery.img to the right place and hit enter.
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/recovery bs=16777216 count=1
Now the recovery is loaded into the correct place.
User @cato1986 has pointed out that once rooted the TWRP image can be installed with the flashify app.
5. If you are not flashing CM13 you can now power of the device. Press VOL+ and Power to boot into recovery or if you have adb enabled you can type.
adb reboot recovery
From the command line of your PC.
6. If you intend to flash CM13 now would be a good time to download the ROM and Gapps and place in the internal or external storage of your device.
Installation of CM13
1. Download the ROM Here.
A7600F CM13 ROM
Get Gapps (I prefer the nano version).
Open Gapps
With the ROM and Gapps stored on your device boot into recovery. (Power off, VOL+ and Power) or via adb.
2. In recovery go to wipe. Now go to advanced wipe. Select only the following and nothing else.
Dalvik/ART Cache
Data
Cache
System
3. Return to the main menu. Go to install and select the CM13 ROM. Install it. This can take a while.
4. Go back to the main page in recovery and install your Gapps zip straight away. Once finished wipe Dalvik/Cache and hit reboot.
5. Hopefully it boots past the original Lenovo screen. The 1st boot can take a while.
6. Run through setup. CyanogenSetupWizard will warn you that the sim is missing. Ignore this I am working on a fix. This is the only place left the the system seems to think a sim should be installed.
7. Profit!
What Works
Wifi
Bluetooth
Cameras
Audio
Microphone

black screen, doesn't boot
i am having the same issue, i get the lenovo boot animation and then the screen goes black and stays black. I also do not have a backup of my system.... so i basically have a device that does nothing. can someone create a backup image that you can use TWRP to restore your device???

I will check this out. It works fine on my device, however it may be a corrupted upload. I won't have a chance until later to sort it or get a backup image for you. You can use the SP flash tool for the A7600F but if you aren't comfortable using it I will post some instructions for it later.
Regards
I have tested the ROM and it works fine on my tablet. If you are experiencing problems and you please confirm that you are flashing on the Lenovo A10-70 A7600-F 10 inch Wi-Fi only Tablet with the MediaTek MT8121 chip....... The boot image in this ROM is not compatible with anything else. Ensure you are not trying to flash on the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70F it will not work.
Can anyone else who has tried to flash it on the correct device confirm it works? It has had nearly 30 downloads but no one has left any feedback. It would be great if you could leave a note of this ROM works for you.
Regards
Lee
not working
That's the model i have, but it shows a black screen. I'm not new to flashing either. I have several custom ROM devices. So I don't think it is something I'm doing wrong. Suggestions?
I'm one of the 30 guys who downloaded the ROM.
Thanks so much for the effort you put into building this rom.
Unfortunately, in my case, the tablet doesn't get past the Lenovo boot screen after installing the rom.
I didn't know there was a Wifi- only version of this tablet but i looked it up, and mine is the A7600F with the MediaTek MT8121 chip.
Nevertheless, there seems to be a Sim Card Slot ?
I will give another try later

Are you using the TWRP from the OP? It seems like a boot image issue. If you are using the TWRP from the OP? Are you performing the wipe and does TWRP report any issues when wiping or flashing?

Yes, I'm using TWRP....I also followed this thread. Nothing less, nothing more.
Ok guys thanks for reporting back. I suspect the boot image in the upload file is corrupt. I will upload a new file at about 8:00pm GMT tonight.

No problem, glad it's working. Enjoy. ?
Hey there, my copy is working as well.
It looks great. I do have a question, is anyone else having trouble flashing full or super OpenGapps? I can only flash the smallest. And hey thanks a lot for all the hard work. I wish I knew how to contribute.

I am not sure but I think the system partition is too small to flash the bigger Gapps packages.
Glad it is working now. I am just looking to fix the GPS as it doesn't appear to work currently, I don't know if you anyone else can confirm this.
Let me know if you run into any problems.

You're going to need to provide more detail if you expect any help:
1. What ROM? (for all we know that can be either CM9 or CM10/10.1)
2. What method did you use? You mentioned a method but provided no link.
If you think that you did all the steps correctly, sometimes you just need to wait it out. First boot does take a long time.
Or could be a simple thing like a corrupt download of the rom zip. As you still can go to your recovery, your phone's safe. You can redownload the rom (confirm the size after download) or try another rom. Next time, better to keep a nand backup of your working rom through your recovery, for emergencies like this.
Good luck. BTW which recovery r u using? And which rom were you trying?

Hey everyone! I would like to start off by saying that I am brand new here, and am surely going to mess up quiet alot... But here goes,
I've recently rooted my phone with a very simple guide, and it's the first device I've every rooted. So I know very little of the process of doing so, (I'm learning slowly).
I also have found a rom that I would like to install, but I would love to know if others think it seems legit? If it is real, I know many people would absolutely love to use it! The rom's URL is (ht tp:// playfuldroidz.com /wiki/ CyanogenMod_10_Motion) (Please remove spaces, sorry as I said i'm new...)
Now I don't mind testing this myself, but being as new as I am at android I honestly do not know how to follow the relatively simple instructions.
(This Is where I need some help, Please be noob cautious!)
Download the .zip & copy to phone or sdcard (make sure 4g or wifi is enabled if dl'd from phone).
Zip can be installed from either internal or external sd in CWM (Which ever you copied it too!)
MAKE A BACKUP!!!
DO A FACTORY RESET!!! - this will wipe data & cache!
Go to install zip from sdcard
Choose zip from sdcard
Select cm-10-xxxxxxxxxx-UNOFFICIAL-l0.zip
Confirm
Repeat Steps 5 -8 for gapps
Reboot
Now my first question I'd love some help with, is how do I perform this backup there talking about? do they just mean my simple go into settings and click backup? Or should I do it some otherway?
Second question: Do they mean the phones built in service of factory reset?
Third Question: To install a Zip from an SD card do I need to simply use ES file explorer, or root file browser? Or is there a custom way to install a Zip file on android?
Fourth and final Question: What is gapps..? Is this something I should get or use?
EDIT: I've got a fifth one also... Thanks to anyone who's stayed this long and is willing to help me.! Will this Cyanogen mod (If working) Work almost exactly like a real nexus Operating system? I've got a nexus 7 tablet running stock android, and I love it! That's why I'm doing this to my phone honestly.
Thank you all greatly!

Question 1,2 and 3.. they are all done through Clockworkmod. Look through the menus you'll see it if you still struggle look on YouTube.
Question 4.. gapps is Google Apps you need to flash this after the ROM to get the play store and all the other standard Google apps.
Question 5.. in your eyes pretty much, it'll look the same but with more features obviously.
Thank you alot!
Thanks! now i've only gotta do one last thing, and see if anyone knows whether or not this website is a reliable source, or atleast if the mod works...

I was just wondering if there's a chance this clock work mod thing doesn't work on my phone? I don't really know how, or where it is either... and I'd love some help with that... Thank you!
(Edit) I don't think there is a clockwork mod for my device... According to the Rom Manager app I was told to use for installing it.

If you did what it said in the instructions *root it, cwm, install custom rom* then after installing the custom rom it has it's own cwm. turn off the phone, turn in back home and press the back and home button together at the same time and it should take you to the rom's cwm. If the phone does a factory reset by pressing the back and home button then you did the installation wrong.
But just in case I'll setup a full instruction for you.
Root your phone.
Which can be done easily, just download this and extract the files: http://www.mediafire.com/?dhdbwflnl1vknx2
once you extract the files put your phone on debugging mode which can be done by going to settings, developer mode, and click usb debug.
once you've done that connect your phone to the pc *make sure it's on charge only* wait for driver installation to finish. once that's done click root. follow instructions on the screen it shouldn't be too hard! after following instructions you should be rooted and have cwm. but to install the recovery go to your apps and find lte 2nd init recovery and then click the top button, agree to super su to use it and you're done with rooting and cwm! now. these files you were talking about, download them and put them on sd which can be done with a file manager. after they've downloaded go to the lte 2nd init and click the bottom button. it will reboot the phone and take you to cwm. While you are in cwm click on the home button to go to external which is the sd, then go to backup and restore, and click backup! this is very important. miss this step and things could go bad. Now all you have to do is follow the instructions you posted yourself and you should be done! if you need any help don't hesitate to message me. I've done this for a long time now.
Whoops forgot to add. the website IS a reliable source. Learned that cause I'm a risk taker and decided to try it out myself. and do not use rom manager or anything like that for recovery. ever. especially on phones that do not have their own recovery mode. also. the CM10 works great in my opinion! But there's a catch. for me at least. even though everything is perfect during phone calls I cannot use my 4g. which is a bad thing for me cause I need it. other than that if that doesn't bother you or anything or don't have service then knock yourself out and install the cm10!
COMPLETED) This mod worked, all things are now finished except one small issue!
So after installing the mod with some great help of someone here on this forums, I've been basically beta testing the mod for a few days. I have nearly no complaints, as almost everything works seemlessly just like you'd except the operating system to. In the end I found one single issue though, which is terribly annoying for me in specific...
My GPS isn't working, which could be one of many things other than the rom. Seeing as I only recognized It yesterday, there may be an outside reason it at random shut off. If anyone know's what can cause this, and a fix for it please comment back!
Thanks to everyone who helped with installing the mod

Please help me with the rom
Hey guys not sure if i am suppose to post this here but i couldnt find any where else and i couldnt find an answer with my exact problem, i installed this rom on my moms lg motion and everything went find untill i got to gapps it came up with an error inside of cwm so i just contined all the other flashes i had to do and rebooted i thought that i could just flash gapps later. But i mad a very big booboo i installed the Recovery APK for it in cm 10 i forgot all about pressing reboot and saying reboot into revocovery so i was going to try it though the Recovery APK so i installed the thing and pressed reboot and instead of taking me into recovery it takes me to a screen that says something like "mourning call error" which i dont know what means but i had to take out the battery and turn the phone back on so that worked and i got back to the home screen but i still cant install gapps so she can use all the google sevices i tried rebooting with the built in reboot into recovery (the one that you press reboot when you hold the power button) and that does the same exact thing i have no way of flashing gapps or anything else for that matter can someone please help me i have no idea what to do. everything i working on the phone but that. thank you sorry if i put this in the wrong place.
Confused my droid using this method- would love in on this thread
Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place-punch me if I have-
I rooted my lgms770 with version f firmware- installed cwm and 2ndinit recovery (2nd init was the only known way (to me anyway) to get into cwm at the time) followed this guide ---
[LgMotion All Things root] and
[GUIDE] Unbrick OR Unroot LG Motion 4G [KDZ] - Android Forums
I am not allowed to post urls yet...sorry...its the the first google hit
I've tried multiple versions of the official LG Firmware flash, from the website, and by following this guide-
AOKP Dirty Unicorns baseless port cm10 - Android Forums Actually, its the unicorns that got me.
With no luck there. I am running Mint16, and had to run the programs through Wine of course, then tried Q4wine, and eventually tried running though Oracle VM, and finally, I wiped my ancient dell of Linux altogether and put WinXP back on it (took 2 hours, that). No cigar. And yes, I did the drivers, all in order, etc, tried again, reinstalled etc
I finally set up adb to try to get into this droid that way, but am having problems with port permissions (I'm going to guess that's on my pc's end-running Mint16)
I can access the factory reset screen (the black and white), download mode, and the battery charges on a black screen with a nice purple font, but I am still stuck in a bootloop. I've employed all known button spamming combos to get back into cwm (there is a nandroid in there somewhere)..but alas...
Help me Obi-Wan-Kenobi's..
Peach
I had the purple letters with no way to get to the factory reset screen i just used the lg online flash tool in upgrade recovery put in the imei of the phone in made sure the phone was in usb download mode then it was fixed but for some odd reason i still cant get my phone to the factory reset option. I apologize sincerely if I wasn't detailed enough if you need any clarification on it then let me know through pm or i could even send u a link to my box folder i keep the install files in.
(Also i have a one click root app for the LGMS770 So if you or anyone would like the link i would be happy to give it to you)

Looking for one as well. I have not found one.
Recovery is actually preinstalled
I found this just tooling around. Use your favorite file browser, I used
Total commander. /system/vender/itson
The zip file is there. Hope this helps. (Rooted LG ls620)
Could you explain in a little better detail on what you mean Enigmatic177... I'm pulling my hair out Hehe
If anyone makes or finds a working recovery please post it.
Itson is a zip file that was installed after last update it has the basics to unlock the boot loader. I unpacked it used Rom toolbox pro rebooted to RECOVERY did regular reboot system upgraded.
A couple if bit mapp errors 11111. Then I basically flashed CWM.
Before you do this the partitions change from ext2-ext4. I'd advise
Backing them up.

TWRP recovery help L620 LG Realm
hello I followed the steps in the read me file and i succeeded in installing twrp although im having troubles booting up to my system os. when i power on my device it takes me straight to twrp. i have a feeling i might of missed a step. i tried creating a backup but i cant because i noticed my screen turns off fast. do you think you might know what might be the problem why i cant boot up to my os? thanks!
I think i know what seems to be the problem. I think i might have accidentally replaced the boot img with the twrp recovery img. i did not make a backup before this happened. is there anything i can do to make my phone boot up to its normal image? thanks
Nope. It is officially a paperweight and no one I know of has access to the stock ROM either.

Hey
Has anybody found a custom rom?
Finally. Easy as pie
Ok, I downloaded an image (w5c_twrp_bumped.img)
put that img on the root of my sd card
downloaded Rashr from the google play store
opened rashr and tapped 'recovery from storage', navigated to external sd and tapped the image and tapped
ýes please'
flashed it. after the flash the phone rebooted into the twrp recovery.
then just rebooted back into the system
worked perfectly.
im new here im not allowed to post outside links yet, just google "w5c_twrp_bumped.img" should take you to a link for a download of that recovery
i got twrp now as a custom recovery. on my lg realm.

You have the bumped recovery so all i can say if u messed up is to flash a stock rom u can find on google i had to re flash mine a few times messing with root
right on, thanks for the info. I had no problems at all. it all fell in place like i was hoping. The Realm is the easiest device Iv ever rooted, flashed, and messed with. Well, as far as rooting and flashing a custom recovery. dunno bout roms though. Im sure its simple?

OK, I grabbed and extracted this. I used Flashify to simply flash the recovery (w5c_twrp_bumped.img) and it works like a dream on my LG Realm.
OTOH, trying the same on an Exceed 2 gets me TWRP, but it cannot mount much of anything and the backup fails. After failing, it tells me "No OS found, continue?" I continue and get the message "Appears your device has no Root, install now?' I am absolutely certain I have root, or wouldn't even be able to run Flashify, so I continue and it simply boots into the OS just fine. Perhaps the readme isn't complete, as I see the following file in the extracted folder (resources.zip) with no explanation of why it's there. It "appears" to be a flash-able zip that installs "itson" (whatever THAT is). Note that the Realm has this in the /system/vendor/itson, yet the Exceed 2 doesn't.
Have you actually used this on an Exceed 2? And if so, what am I missing here?

Ignore the big red warning about the Realm, as he evidently hasn't updated the OP. You can view my notes regarding the Realm in this reply. Tested several times and verified working better than anything else available. Easiest recovery to install I've ever dealt with (all done with an .apk). The option to access via cold boot (battery pull procedure) is something to behold
Be sure to thank the developer, even if you need to create an account to do so. Very VERY nice work!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before you replied I installed the version 2.8.5 from here:
http://androidforums.com/threads/twrp-2-8-5-0-for-realm-ls620-and-exceed-2-vs450pp.908704/
Is 2.8.6 better? Looks like the 2.8.5 can't be booted into via key combo from power off? Are there any other differences? I just used the Rashr flash tool from the market to flash 2.8.5. Worked flawlessly. This is actually my mom's phone and it wanted to do a system upgrade but I wanted to back it up first so that's the reason I wanted a recovery.
Pretty cool though, this recovery installs just via an APK!!!? That's amazing!
I'm tempted to install this on her phone next time she comes over... it should be fine right?
Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

That one will cold boot with the battery pull procedure too. A little further down that thread you'll see I modded it to work correctly with the Exceed 2 in addition to the Realm. I like the 2.8.6 better if only that the dates of the backup are correct now. The 286.apk will work fine and overwrite your current recovery. If you leave it installed, you can always open it and reboot to recovery from within the app. If I have more time I'll post a screenshot, but running late for work. I think the screen dimming/timeout issue was fixed as well, but I haven't verified that. I normally disable that in TWRP anyway, as I like to monitor what it's doing during a backup/restore in case of errors.

THANKS!!!! I'll make it a point to flash that to my mom's phone next time I get the chance!
Hello, my name is Shagington
I have been slowly unlocking the potential of my tf700t, yet I have come to a point where I am stuck loading the android OS. The problem started when I installed xposed to gain the ability to modify the permission of apps. Now it just sits with the loading circle spinning around and 'round. I tried wiping from the bootloader yet the same thing happens. While looking into the bootloader more, I found twrp installed after what I thought were many failed attempts. I tried a wipe from that as well and the same thing happens. I was thinking about just flashing a stock (rooted) rom with twrp but I am afraid of getting into a worse spot than I already am in, any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Shag
You need to post your bootloader version (read the tiny script when you boot with Power and Volume Down) and your recovery version.
That will determine what you can flash or what type of repair you can try.
Do you have fastboot and adb setup on your PC?
Check if you have a fastboot connection when booted into the bootloader and adb when booted into recovery.
See if you can capture a logcat of the boot process in adb.
Then report back.
Whatever you do, do not use the Wipe Data option from the bootloader!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the quick reply berndblb, it seems im on build us 10.6.1.14.8-20130514. I just reformatted my pc to windows 10 tech preview so im not quite sure how that will work with adb but I will give it a go tomorrow. Will any custom rom work with the current build i have?
Thanks again, Shagington (Newbington)

Yes, there are. You are one version behind to the latest (and last) bootloader 10.6.1.14.10. Might be a good idea to update to the latest while you're at it...
Which recovery and version thereof did you flash?
Once we are sure that you have compatible software installed you can flash a bootloader/TWRP package to get you up to date, but let's resolve your current pickle first.

Thanks again for responding good sir, I am on twrp 2.8.5.0, which still loads just fine.

When you install xposed it puts an emergency uninstall zip on the internal sdcard partition. Try flashing that from twrp to reverse it out.
Be careful with xposed it can sofbrick easily as you have found out.

I tried the first Win10 preview, and I just had to connect the tablet and run adb.exe - it worked fine with the automatically installed drivers.
Thanks for the replies guys, I couldnt find any zips on my internal, I looked through almost every folder. After looking through the adb tutorials, it is a little to intimidating for me. Kinda sad, I was under the impression that now I have twrp I could just throw some other rom on quickly or even a download a backup from someone else with the same versions to recover and be done with it. I think im just going to leave it soft bricked for a while and use my nexus 7 for now. Appreciate the help guys, it's just a little over my head.

I never thought that this would happen, especially after 6 years of being an ardent flashaholic but here I am like another noob requesting for guidance.
So it started a few days back when the Flashaholic in me wanted something to divert my mind from the monotonicity of a good ROM.I was using "[8.1.x][WEEKLIES] CarbonROM | cr-6.1 [bacon]" Rom on my 3 year old bacon happily when I decided to try "Crdroid ROM for OnePlus ONE crdroid-4.6".
As mentioned in the instructions I followed the steps to each word i.e. wipe, flash rom and then gapps (using modded twrp-3.2.1-K2-bacon.)and the ROM booted fine.I setup it as usual post boot however I faced few reboots which made me doubt myself so i thought of reflashing the same ROM again but the butter fingers got the best of me and while selecting partitions to WIPE( I guess) I selected some incorrect partition and after the flash my phone went into bootloop..
I tried to boot into recovery but I wasnt able to so but I knew I could boot into recovery using Fastboot so I reflashed the recovery while in fastboot mode and ran fastboot boot TWRP.img as I wasnt able to boot into recovery with VolumeDown+Power.I tried to fetch the nandroid backup but to my astonishment it was gone and my /data partition was wiped clean.I blame myself as I must have done something wrong as I was panicked.
Since then(last sunday)my phone has been in bootloop and doesnt start in recovery unless I boot recovery from fastboot. I have spent countless hours to fix it and the things I have tried already are mentioned below
1)Flash Stock rom (CM11,CM12,CM13)
2)Erase and flash persist.img
3)Flashed CM13 snapshot or bacon_firmware_update_2015_05-15_DI.3.0.c6-00241.zip followed by RR 5.8.5 ,RR 6.0 ,Carbon rom 6.1 and c-droid 4.6
4)Flashed coloros and then stock rom(CM11,CM12,CM13) or RR 5.8.5 ,RR 6.0 ,Carbon rom 6.1 and c-droid 4.6
I have gone through this awesome guide ultimate-answer-to-bacon-flavored- by @Timmmmaaahh ,other noob friendly guides indexes , compilations ,threads on softbrick and hardbrick topics and used almost every tool created for one plus one.
I have ruled out below
1)Volume button not working as I can boot into fastboot fine using VolumeUp+Power button
2)Battery not working as my phone can stay in fastboot for pretty much a day with 50% battery or bootloops throughtout the day
I am really out of my depth and I am trying to find where I had kept my nandroid backup on Laptop/Drive but I dont think even that can help me now.I have lost a lot of precious and Important data due to my panicking and wouldnt want to lose my phone so any help and guidance would be really appreciated.
Hopefully I am posting in the correct place and havent breached any XDA rules!Aplogies in advance if I have
you are sure, that you have flash thr TWRP and not only load TWRP via sideload into the ram?
please post the command, which you have send to the phone
So I use below command to install the twrp from fasboot
fasboot flash recovery <path/twrp file>
Also I've tried to flash twrp in recovery from twrp by selecting image file option but it doesn't boot into recovery ever
I've tried twrp 2.7,2.8,3.0,3.1 and 3.2 as well on every rom that I've flasher given the compatibility.
to boot into recovery as it's not accessible I use below command
Fastboor boot <path/twrp file>
Stupid thing it seems but try different micro usb cable

Okay, let's optimize your environment first. Make sure the path to your adb is c:\adb (don't flash stuff like "c:\users\dinky doodle\my awesome downloads\android shizzle\recovery manizzle"). Use the amazing 15 seconds adb installer and let it install the drivers as well. @kallum7 makes a good point, do try that.
Use the TWRP recommended in my guide and follow the clean flash steps (including CM13 step again).
More importantly: check md5 hashes on all your downloads. You really want to avoid flashing a corrupted recovery download. Only continue flashing ROMs once you have a stable TWRP installation going. If it's not properly booting to TWRP, do not bother flashing anything else.
When successfully booted in TWRP, make sure MTP is enabled under mount and connect it to your PC. Browse for possible backups via your computer. If you can't find any, you've probably wiped internal memory. If you didn't make a copy to your computer, the data is most likely gone forever (sorry).
Panicking is indeed a bad idea, we've all been there and it's an excellent learning process (you'll appreciate your failures later, lol). It's better to work step by step slowly, make sure you read everything thoroughly. When in doubt, just post here and we'll follow up. We'll get there, don't worry.

Oh and rename the recovery file to recovery.img and place it in your adb folder to avoid any complications. Less = more!
Because I had bricked my phone a few months ago and I changed my USB cable and it worked perfect

Hi mate,So I pulled an all nighter yesterday and was somehow magically able to boot in TWRP.I don't remember what I did but I booted into TWRP 2.8.7.0 and the first thing I did was check if any nandroid backup was there but I was disappointed to see my /data with free 55326 MB also no backups on my drive. All my data is gone and I can't curse myself enough for that, moving on so I did manage to gather my sense and flashed TWRP 3.2.1-K2 and flashed RR-O-v6.1.0 but the phone goes into boot loop again and again.
Since then my phone is displaying some weird behavior so if I unplug my device and start my phone the phone won't boot and wont go past oneplus one splashscreen so I thought my battery is gone but if I can go in fastboot mode or TWRP mode while being plugged in and unplug my device but my phone wont die,it'll be in the respective mode for ages.
I do have a clean setup (K:\oneplus\adb\) that's how I stayed away from this mess since ages but I guess I got too cocky.
I have religiously followed your thread and it has helped me a lot so once I am home I will check the TWRP part again and get back with the results.
Once again..thanks for your guidance.

This is weird I just restarted my phone to see if it magically starts but it went into bootloop(displaying splashscreen not boot logo) in contrast to earlier when it died instantly when not plugged in also I can't boot into my recovery now!
Once I am plugged in and the phone is on bootloop and if I hold the volumedown+Powerkey it boots into TWRP properly..
This is just weird and I havent seen this behavious in the past three years of using my old lovely bacon
Try using the color os toolkit https://steemit.com/oneplus/@delusionalgenius/how-to-unbrick-oneplus-one-bacon and even though it says do not use if it is soft bricked use it this helped me
Sorry for getting back rather late (again). I'm in the middle of organizing an event and it's leaving very little XDA time. Anyway...
Isn't a hardbrick tutorial kinda agressive? I mean, I've used it before, and it's excellent, but then my device was actually hardbricked. I'd rather go for the 'back to stock' method first, setting the system back to CM13, which is a much better base for further flashing compared to ColorOS.
@vedanth123456 if you didn't take any action yet then I suggest following this thread (skip step 4!!).
The deal is to flash all images from fastboot. This will – naturally – wipe every single partition on your device!
I suggest doing the fastboot flashing manually (copy paste each command one by one) to avoid your device getting its bootloader locked. You DO NOT want to lock the bootloader on a OnePlus One if you ever wish to unlock it again.
When you successfully booted CM13, go though its initial setup, [disable recovery protection in system or developer settings] (it's been so long since I've experienced this process that I'm not sure if this option was present in CM13; if you can't find it, don't mind), get back to fastboot mode and flash K2 TWRP. First thing to do at this point: create a full nandroid backup of your working CM13 setup and copy it externally. ROM flashing should now be successful. If not, I'm afraid your hardware is failing. Do try several ROMs.
Don't forget to check those md5 hashes!
By the way, your /data is supposed to be empty after a factory reset. /data merely contains settings and app data (user added information). Backups and user media go to the /sdcard partition, which is known as internal memory. If I may suggest a ROM, go for CrDroid. It's more stable compared to RR, it's still actively developed and it has similar features.

Hi mate
Apologies for not acknowledging your message and not replying back earlier. I've been traveling using a spare phone and things just aren't the same on it.
To give u an update, I tried the steps mentioned in the link (which I had tried previously as well) but the phone didn't boot. Same bootlooping and issue with the twrp.
So I went through other forums and links and finally found an exe that worked.!!!!!! So the exe seems to be an modified version of the one mentioned in the hard brick method and has been created by someone else (NOT ME!!)
My phone after many moons has booted and its on the good old cyanogen CM 11.0 XNPH44S. I've tried numerous roms on this bad boy but there is some beauty in the simplicity of the good old roms.
My phone battery is charging pretty slowly and wifi is not turning on so I'm still tensed but the fact that it booted is a small victory. I would want to upgrade to a stable rom once my phone is charged and not displaying erratic behavior so I'll wait for a day and see how it works but I'll want to upgrade to a slightly latest rom probably not a battery hogging one.
I believe I'll have to first install an old twrp followed by nandroid backup(save on every goddammed devices I own), then some CM snapshot and finally the rom but please can you confirm and suggest.

Heya!
Well, this is legacy material so I kinda forgot what TWRP worked best for the older ROMs (2.8?). The latest TWRP should be backwards compatible and support CM11 so you can give that a whirl first. You're just making a backup (no write actions) and TWRP's are easily replaced with other version so there ain't much to lose. Anyway, glad you got it running! I'd still go with the CM13 flash before moving to one of the modern ones. If you encounter more bootloops, that same exe should recover it for ya. By the way, can you PM me a link to that exe? Who knows, it might come in handy one day.
As a stable up-to-date ROM I can really suggest crDroid. I've been using it myself for a few weeks now. @chineel is a talented and devoted dev.

Hey man, thanks for pinching in. I'm personally not a fan of these toolkits as one can accidentally lock the bootloader and I prefer manual style because it's educational and you see more of what's going on. It's like I preferred DOS over Windows 3.11 back in the day. That's pretty much the same, right?... ?

Hi Mate,
My perils seem not to end.So after the last update I tried to start my phone and it started but as soon as I removed the power cord the phone switched off.
I realized that the issue was with the battery so I got it replaced in one of the OnePlus Authorized service center.
The new battery with only one month warranty started just fine and I could see the phone hold power without the charger attached. So I reached home and did the below
1)Flash Twrp
2)Flash CM 13 snapshot
3)Flash cdroid and gapps
4)Reboot phone
Everything seems to work as expected other than the goddamn network and the wifi.My phone has no IMEI and ofcourse I have no EFS backup stored cause of my previous fiasco.
Any ideas mate,I see forums where itts told to install color os and then cm11 and then something but I dont want to risk anything anymore .
Any advice ?

Hi Mate,
My perils seem not to end.So after the last update I tried to start my phone and it started but as soon as I removed the power cord the phone switched off.

I'd hate to say I told you so ?
Don't worry too much. The cool thing about flashing with Android is that there's always other ways to get to a working system. Plus, having a fizzled up system is how you'll learn the most about how this all works. You'll be a pro in no time. I personally got seriously into troubleshooting with a hard bricked OPO that had a wasted flash chip. Believe me when I say that's a whole other world of pain.
One question: did you wipe system/data/caches between the CM13 and the crDroid flash? That's kind of important. It would also be useful to mention the versions of everything.
I have no first person experience with broken EFS partitions but according to what I've read you'll indeed have to get ColorOS running. You could try wiping everything again and flash CM13 to see if that boots fine (with working connectivity) but I'm afraid you'll have to go through the whole works: wipe all, flash or fastboot flash ColorOS, get it running (verify IMEI), flash TWRP and backup EFS (MAKE AN EXTERNAL COPY), wipe all again, flash CM13, get it running, wipe all again, flash crDroid + Gapps, wipe caches and boot to a (hopefully) working system. If EFS broke again you can simply restore the backup made earlier instead of starting over.
Mind that when I say wipe all, it doesn't have to include internal memory or you'll be wiping backups you might need later on.
Alright, here goes your 27th attempt. Good luck! ?
