Louder Reminder/Alarm on S3 - Samsung Gear S3

Looking for a way to set a reminder that will wake up and appear on the display while sounding a loud alarm! I have this on my Note 5 with the Nudnik app, but have failed to discover a way of doing this on my S3. When I set the native reminder, I get a single single notification sound that is very subtle...and very easy to overlook! I have also failed to find a third party Tizen app that will do the job. The only thing I can think of to accomplish this, presently, is to set an alarm for around the same time as the reminder, but that seems like overkill. Anybody?

TURN OFF ALL SOUNDS [v1.0]
Turn Off All Sounds is an app that will mute your device with ONE touch. Your device will remain that way, until you unmute it. Volume ringer controls will be overridden and hence the device will stay muted even if you try to increase/decrease volume.
Features:
Minimalist, clean user interface
Mute device with one touch
Unmute from notification or from within app
Volume ringer overridden when device is muted
Almost nil battery consumption
UPDATE: Mute individual volume streams of your choice
Changelog:
v1.1:
Updated muting features! Option to mute specific streams included
Be sure to check out the screenshots!!!
Looking forward to any comments, criticisms or suggestions. So far the app has been tested on Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300), and HTC One. Once again, feedback is greatly appreciated.
App will go live on PlayStore soon, and this post will be updated with PlayStore link. Please feel free to share the app!
WARNING: Alarms will ring at set times because there is a bug in Google's AudioManager api, because of which the alarm stream CANNOT be muted.
Works on Galaxy S4 i9500 :good:
Would be really usefull if you could chose what to mute, I want to mute all but notification sounds at times, and also really usefull if you could set it to automute between some hours of a day, or add a tasker plugin....just my ideeas...

Love your idea: chose what to mute. No need automate, many apps can do it. Just keep simple for light-weight.

Thanks for the idea! Will definitely implement it
And the automation thing was a planned feature already
Works on Samsung Epic 4g Touch (S2).

IFTTT or similar app for S2 classic

Is there an app that can help control when watch notifications can be audible or silenced automatically during certain hours of the day? Was looking for a method to automatically silence the watch when at work, and then make audible again at end of day without having to manually change settings daily and run the risk of forgetting.
Thanks for any assistance.

Vibrating alarm..urgent question please

Can someone please tell me the strength of the vibrating alarms? Is the intensity adjustable? What about length of alarm?
Hi I am used to a cheap Fitbit Charge HR to wake me up and also as important medical reminder. However I recently tried a Garmin Vivomove which even in max mode was barely noticeable.
Currently trying an Huawei Fit and it’s not much better but at least it is also audible
The HW2 is at such a good price I am considering one so could do with an owners opinion please
Thanks
Anybody?
I’ve actually got the watch but if I open it I can’t return it. So really could do with some kind owners comments
?
Never tried the alarm vibration. Buy general notifications are noticeable on your wrist. You can set the pattern of the vibration as well. Normal, long and double are the choices.
The Google alarm works not bad (vibe + sound). Otherwise there are also 3rd app for alarm. I use Nefa Wear Alarm for many years and it can vibrate 30s or 1min if you want.
Thanks guys
Do you know if the intensity is adjustable along with the duration?
Not adjustable. But it is the developper of each app wich choose how he want manage the watch vibration. The vibration motor is not very strong on almost all Wear watch. The best vibration I see is on the pebble watch, very strong (and adjustable wich different pattern).

Notification sounds not working.

I have 2 apps installed, WhatsApp and Ring Doorbell that are not giving me sound notifications. For me the volume on this device is not very loud. I work in a noisy environment and need loud volume. My last phone (Note 5) I did that sound mod changing the volume xml file and used very loud notification sounds (mp3) and it was perfect. So I took those sound files from the Note and put them into the Mi 10 Ultra in Ringtones folder and set them. Since then I get no sound notifications.
I did some digging and found an app 'Hidden Settings for MIUI' and set it to 'play sounds', but that didn't fix the issue either. I'm completely new to MIUI and am all out of ideas. Its strange, but when I open the phone, the WhatsApp notification sound beeps to let me know I have a message, but I have to open the phone, if its sitting in my pocket I get no notification. Ring Doorbell is not working at all as far as notifications go. Nothing. If someone who knows MIUI could give me some help it would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: shouldn't have wasted my time
That's it for me. SIM out and back to my Note 5. Great phone but the software is atrocious, if I had of known the nightmare this would be I wouldn't have bought this phone. So now it goes back into its box where it will stay, 6 months 1 year I don't care, until there is an alternative to using this absolute mess that MIUI is. A real shame, but something as simple as a couple of apps really is the deal breaker for me. Maybe I'll sell it? Global ROM? Who knows ....but for now its a useless device that can't even run a couple of apps? That is as bad as it gets. Its privacy settings are the worst I have ever seen. Disguised as 'protecting you' but in reality its the other way around. If I wanted to be locked out and locked in and locked down I would have bought an Apple iPhone. Xiaomi makes good phones, but their MIUI software is the worst I have ever seen. I would not recommend anyone buy this device.
I actually was facing this problem and found out a fix. You just have to turn vibration on. For some reason some apps don't make a sound if it doesn't have vibration on for notifications.

I have Ring doorbell and Whatsapp working (sort of) as sometimes they are delayed.
I had to change settings/notifications/ring and set rules for notification as important and also make sure all notification settings are on
Then fo to settings/apps/manage apps/ring and make sure Autostart is on and set permissions to make sure the bottom 4 are set to green ticked. Then make sure restrict data usage set to WLAN and Mobile data and then set Battery Saver to No restrictions.
Hopefully it will work after that. Do similar things to other apps that may not be making notifications correctly.
PS I'm using China ROM
So I had this issue and figured out a sure way to get sound notifications working.
You just have to turn vibration on in the subtype of notification for said specific app. If you don't want vibration on all notifications for that specific app turn it off otherwise.
Here is the thing that helped me with the same notification issue! Just google "xiaomi mi 10 ultra notifications" and in the top 5 links you'll probably find an article from:
theunpopulartraveller. It explains the settings, and they need to be accessed by pressing and holding the app icon ^ app info.
Don't give up, try and you'll get the sounds from needed apps back. And ye, actually now I find the way Xiaomi did it much more convenient: I just turned on notifications for 2 apps, and all the rest are silent, while previously I had to turn off all the rest of the apps (much more than 2, definitely) not to get disturbed by all the bull****.

Question Super Strong Vibrate

Is there a way to get a super strong vibrate for an alarm? I would like to use the alarm to wake me in the morning, for example if I'm at hotel. I've played with the Settings-Vibration_and_Sound settings and the vibration pattern options you can choose when you set an alarm. Is there anything else to look at – like maybe setting a custom pattern?
I wish there were a "wake from dead" mode. I am deaf so sound has no meaning. Wake up phone calls or pounding on the door from the hotel obviously don't work.
A stronger alarm uses more battery, but that's okay, since this is an important function. I will plan accordingly.
Barry.
I haven't found a way to increase the strength of the vibration outside of the options available from the app and watch settings.
As of what's available today, it seem Apple is the only who's really paying close, CLOSE attention to the quality, strength and refinement of the haptic engine on their watches.
It's the number one reason why I was using an iPhone for weeks just so I could use an Apple Watch. Its "Taptic" engine is so refined. Perfect for alarms and other notifications. There's also a big gap (IMO) in how the normal and hard vibration option is on those watches.
Samsung needs to focus more heavily in this specific area for their next watches.
I'm glad someone else agrees. It seems these guys love to focus on ring tones, and sounds, and volume. I think vibration is much more useful: It's discrete, it doesn't wake everyone else in the house.
I've used the alarm about a dozen times. It's woken me every time, but I wish it was a little stronger.
I can see an option where they separate alert vibration from alarm vibration and offer a super vibration mode. They could warn "wake-the-dead mode requires more battery", but at least you'll be more confident that it actually wakes you up.
