So the new HTC music app was released on apkmirror, of course i got excited and installed it. It installed fine but when i open it the app closes within like 1s, but i don't know why because i managed to click on a song before it closed and it started playing the song! Even the widget in the notification menu works! So any help is appreciated, i have an HTC one a9. :laugh:

I am also interested in a modified version of the latest HTC Music app (version 8.10 - basically I think what is missing are the lib files, which were included in this apk).
Been trying to add them myself but I get a package corrupt error when I try to install the modded apk...

Active downloads can be viewed by pressing Menu at the main youtube screen, then click on Misc and select Downloads. Save folder can be edited in the Rollemod Settings (also select Misc in Menu).
To download videos, simply press menu while you're in the player - select misc and press "Download Video". A dialog will pop up allowing you to chose the quality of the video of your desire.
I am planning on adding more features. But this should do it for now.

No, but it works on current Froyos, so there shouldn't be a problem to create your mod for people using Froyo already.
EDIT:
But I understand that modding of YouTube may be hard cause of obfuscation, so you just don't wanna work with too many versions of it.
Google does not update the Youtube.apk that often, I'm pretty sure it's final, or at least close to final. We onlt had 2 Youtube.apks during éclair's lifecycle... we have Froyo's Youtubr.apk... unodexed by default.
I think it's doable, and it is why wait? Thanks for your work, though!

Is it possible to make it so that it keeps what you've streamed/buffered in memory while still watching the video?
Like, sometimes i cant hear something clearly or missed something in the video so i drag the bar back but it has to re-buffer when i do that -__- it would be nice if it kept it in memory temporarily so it would just play smooth instead of having to start downloading all over again when i rewind

this might be one of the bugs they are working out. I've read this problem before in another thread about this player in the Android Development and Hacking forum. Maybe look through that thread for a fix.
I was using the first leaked version and I can say only using this new version for one night that its way more refined and works and runs way smoother. The only thing missing is lock screen controls but if you're running the greatest Rom ever made, SR4.0, you can use the lock screen controls that come with the Rom.
Also it is only available in the US Android Market.
can someone theme this widget...it is disgusting! maybe it is because i have cm7 with "the way gingerbread should have been" theme. if someone can make a semi-transparent black or grey widget that be great!

Cyanogenmod 7.03, also installed on OMFGB 1.2 and reads internal fine on both.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, the new market apk that was posted up yesterday, version 3.1.5, works awesome on the Transformer. No FC's, we can finally rate an app from the market, feels much more intuitive than stock market, and much smoother/better optimized for tablet than 3.1.3.

It doesn't give me the option to and I'm on a B70 later model so I have no root access.
The reason you're getting two is because they're different package names. If you're rooted, delete the original. If not, you're stuck with both... But hey, you've always got the option to delete the new one.

Same here. My new market looks quite different
I feel the UI is actually a bit more cluttered than the stock market app. I have gotten a few FC on this one already.
Does anybody have the apk of the market that came with the Transformer?
The UI seems really cluttered with this. Maybe I'm just not used to it... but it does look like things are stretched/not placed correctly, you can clearly see this on the My Apps screenshot. I don't think this is 100% optimized for tablets and I hope this is the reason why it hasn't been officially pushed to our devices.

i havent had a single version pushed to my device yet
I just installed ViperXL 1.2.3 with the new Musicbox 3.0 for the HTC One X Evita. The problem is the 'beats' notification does not come up with the quick settings in the notifications. It's fully functioning but it's a pain to navigate to directly when I want to turn it off or switch the effect for playing music on my god-awful car speakers.
I can't post in the dev thread because all I've been doing for two years of rooting is reading....
Anyone know a reason for this or a fix?

I have over 1,000 songs, I have a lot of music too. However, the issue only happens once in a while. Sometimes songs disappear as I'm scrolling and then they'll reappear as I continue to scroll.
Not trying to say anything negative about your project, just thought I'd bring it to your attention in case you were doing any type of debugging.

Thats really a pity. Spirit FM doesn't work and stock FM Radio apk from A9 does also not work out of the Box with CM13. I guess there some drivers missing. Anyone a solution for that?
