Is there a way to mute notifications while you are on a phone call. Like an option "mute notification while on call" or "silence notification while on phone"?
As it's annoying when someone spams you on texts or whatsapp messages while you are on a phone call and you continuously here the notification sound

I'm pretty sure you can individually set these settings within each app - whatsapp should have this option in Notification options as well as big texting apps like Textra.
not really, options don't mention any during call only as priority.

I agree.. i don't have that issue with the V20 either. But i really can't find it in the M9... very odd. I guess i'm blind. On the V20, i don't even think i did the setup, it was automatic. Which should be by default logically.
True, it's awful ... they should fix it. (Not solved with the B126)

I've searched around a bit and no luck. Is there any way to get the screen to light up when a new SMS is received? The trackball lighting up is a nice idea, but I rarely notice it when my phone is on silent. I've looked through every option on the N1 and don't see it anywhere. I also searched the nexus forums here and with Google. Thanks.
wow you rarely notice the trackball? I find the trackball notification way to bright. such an option is indeed not available. I am not sure if many others have your problem, so I am guessing they wont make an app for that

Have you tried Handscent SMS: http://www.handcent.com/. Does the job nicely; turns the screen on with a handy quick reply pop-up. Make sure you disable the default message notifications mind.

Wow, this is perfect. Thank you!
If you are like me, and prefer the stock messaging app, then you should look at SMSAwake.
1 vote for Handcent from me.
It works perfectly with ALOT of options and settings to choose from.
I use SMS Popup from the Market and it works great. It also has its own notifications, or you can just use the default N1 ones.

Does anyone know of an application that will put incoming calls directly to the notification bar instead of popping up in the middle of whatever activity is taking place... web browsing or smsing for instance.
Sorry if this has been asked before but i have been searching for a few days and havent been able to find anything.
Thank you,
This would be awesome!. Say it can show on the notification bar Incoming Call From John Doe and also ring as well if you like. This way it doesn't interrupt us at all!
I would pay $$ for this
Yep id be willing to pay also lol
I third that!
Forth-ed!
And coming from me, that's really saying something!
I'm pretty cheap
fifth-ed
I'd love for this to happen too!
6? lol
i guess you would press clear to ignore the call?
I would totally buy this as well.

well, selecting the notification could open up a screen with accept/reject buttons?
I'm hoping I missed something in the settings. . . but does anyone know of a way to enable a sound/notification when a call is ended/dropped? I saw there was a connection notification option but that only "dings" when the call connects, not when it disconnects.
I was left talking on my phone for close to a minute the other day when the call had been dropped--pretty annoying.
The Captivate does not drop calls, therefore does not require a notification alert
The iPhone is the only phone thats drops calls

I missed this feature, too. I set it up pretty easily in Tasker (market app--paid, but worth five times its cost). On the "Phone Idle" event, I used a "Vibrate Pattern" action to send two quick pulses when a call ends.
Tasker is amazing.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yet another use for tasker. . . I'll probably have to give the trial a shot which I'm sure will result in my buying it.
So, me and my friend both have the oneplus 7 pro from t-mobile. My phone is rooted and his is not. Recently, we've both encountered the issue of setting our phones on vibrate via the slider on the device then, only to find, our phones will still ring. We're both on the latest 9.5.13. Anyone have
recommendations on how to fix the problem?
You want no ring, slide the switch up again to silent

That's not the correct answer! When I slide mine up to vibrate my phone does not ring...it only vibrates like its supposed to. When you slide it up to the top it doesn't ring or vibrate...like its supposed to. I do not know why theirs is not working properly but your comment is just wrong.

Well too bad.
On mine bottom it rings, middle vibrate only "no ring" and top neither.
It your devices are not working contact One Plus
Is contacting the manufacturer the right answer ?
The issue may be with the sms app you're using. I remember google's message app and the default OnePlus sms app had different behaviour for me

The same way you're experiencing, I would set the slider to the middle position for vibrate but the device would still ring for text messages. This is the reason I switched back to the default messaging app.
Try changing apps and see if it's any different.
When I disable sound notification for messenger ( set it for none in OxygenOS notification settings), it keeps reseting every time I receive a message. Its annoying because I want to have ringtone enabled and other notifications enabled but I dont want any sound from messenger. How Can I fix that? I also tried to download a few seconds no sound file and set it as a notification, but it still resets.
Strange... Have you tried choose None shown in the photo for all types of notifications in Messenger?
Otherwise i guess you could change the priority of the notifications from Messenger from "important" to "other"...
I had the same problem and I found out thats a common problem on OOS since years. The only working solution is setting the prority to other.

I tried everything , I set it to "none" and It keeps restarting when im getting message, and I hear the notification.
I can't see how this is an OP problem. I just go into the Messenger settings, not the OP settings, and and set the notofication options for Messenger to what I want them to be and that's it, no problem on my OP8 (EU).

Notification settings are integrated in android 10/11 hence leading you to the OP settings. Maybe the OP can try uninstall messenger and re-install... I think i came accross a similar problem before

My friends have xiaomi, samsung, Motorola and they dont have problem like that. You can find similar threads on oneplus forum, reddit or facebook groups. I can change notification sound for any stock sound and system saves that, but when I choose "none" it is just resetting and Im getting sound notification when someone send me message or If I close app. The problem is also when I download and set my own notification sound. Previously I had 10.5.10.IN21BA and after turning off the sound for the messenger, there was no sound for 1 hour or 3 hours and suddenly after some time the notification sound turned on again.

Sorry I forgot to mention you also have to set every notification type "Minimize" to off, then it would be OK.
