I have the same issue. How do you solve it?
Anyone else?

I don't use Huawei's solution. However, if you got GMS installed just use Android Device Manager from the play store.

My advice - don't use 'Find my phone' function if you have Chinese AL00 and live outside China. It has configured to servers in China.

[Q] Anyone registered for Huawei account on phone?

I've tried to register for a Huawei account on the P8Max, but it always says that it's not available in my region, I've even tried it through a VPN.
Has anyone found a way around it?
Tunnelbear app worked for me. Set it on Hongkong.
Thanks for the heads up, I did try that using a different VPN, but Tunnelbear did the trick.
Didn't work for me

Unfortunately it didn't work for me and Huawei still says it's not available in my region
I'm from Holland btw.
It didn't work for me if I tried to register with the built in apps directly, but I searched for Huawei ID Register and went to that webpage and registered that way, then went back to the built in apps that use the ID and logged in.
I did this on the phone. Also it asks for a phone number, which is obviously Hong Kong based, but there was a link to change that to email.
Hope this helps.

Play Store not updating

Hello , I bought my mate 9 from China two weeks ago,I am back home now USA, I am having a weird issue with play store.
If I want to install an app or update,
It shows downloading and it is not downloading anything.
It will stuck like that forever.
I tried everything, play store force stop, clear cache, restart and recently factory reset.
It works for two days and then stop again.
I don't see anything blocking my connection.
Hiapp works fine, downloading from the internet is fine. Did anyone experience that issue.
I will appreciate the help.
I believe Google Play Services are not officially supported on the Chinese Mate 9 (MHA-AL00). There is a work around that you can find here. What country are you in? What model number is your phone?

I have same model( 6gb ram) and I'm studying in china. I have to use VPN to connect to Playstore, though it depend on time but it still download. I have used my phone for 8 days and still can connect and update small apps ( of course speed is very slow). I hope when i come back to my country next month, situation will get better.
Try allowing Unknown Sources under Security Settings. Then force close the Play Store app and open it again or reboot. Let me know if it works.

I am in China too, problem with VPN most often. If your VPN are poor, the google store most likely wont' work for you. I recomend using Astrill in china if you give it a try. But it does require a monthly fee.

Use your current VPN to see if you can access Astrill from USA. Then just purchase the plan and download the apk. With the same account you can also use it on the computer by dowloading the Windows version. Cheers.

Sorry guys but that means that GMS Google installer doesn't work for you?
Here you go ,stop updating or downloading. No idea at this point...I am getting frustrated with that phone.
I will not factory reset again,
I have tried to enable the unknown source download and install and then force stop google play and clear the cache of google play and then restart.
It seems this way fixed the bug that google play doesn't download without reboot. I will use it for several more days to confirm that this method can solve the problem.

has anybody found the solution for this I bought chinese version with B167 firmware and is doing the same thing Google play stop working every now and then and does not update apps automatically
quick update: found out google play will not download apps over wifi but as soon as I disable it google play start downloading the updates not sure why is doing this it used to work over wifi few days ago
My phone is it doesn't update until resbooting the phone, once reboot, it can work for a while.
Since this phone can boot pretty fast, it doesn't bother me that much.
I haven't found a single way to fix it and I don't think there is a way to fix it until now

[APP] Alarmpad : how to get it ?

Hi,
Are you guys able to access this application on google play store ?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mindmeapp.alarmpadpro
Whether I try with proxies or my own IP (Belgium), I always end up with a message from Google saying that the app is not available in my country.
I know that the developer stopped this project last year, but I am surprised not to be able to get it anywhere.
I also tried to download the apk for version 1.9 from various websites (free or pro version), and Windows Defender always reject the file stating that it's infected by a Trojan, so I start to wonder if this is a false positive or if Google detected the same and prevents the app from being accessible on the store or so ?
It's the first time that I am facing this situation, and I am very surprised and frustrated not to be able to buy this app which looks fantastic.
Let me know if you are facing the same problem or if you have a working APK backup
Thanks !
For those who are in the same situation and who may be looking for AlarmPad FREE, here is the APK of version 1.9.3 (I believe it's the last).
I am still looking for a way to buy the PRO version, and for now the only solution seems to be in the USA :/
I'm in the USA, and can't find this app in play store.

Thank you for the information Henry, then I have no clue where this app is available nowadays (it looks like it was widely available in the past).
Note that it appears that my previous apk downloads which were detected by Windows Defender as trojan were false positive since the same file does not trigger the warning anymore.
Too bad I can't simply by the pro version

Unfortunately even when installing the pro version from your post with the mindme pro key, it does not detect it as "PRO" (features are restricted as in FREE version).
I have the same behavior with this PRO apk which is the latest version I found.
I tried to contact the developer to know why his app is not available from the PlayStore anymore, but I did not received any answer so far :/

Well it seems you have to find a new app ... :/
I'm in the UK (used to live in the USA) and I couldn't visit the alarmpro page, but I could visit here and download the app to register it.

Old thread but I have the pro version. Don't know how the powers-that-be would feel about me sharing the apk. The developer has stopped providing support for this app and the backup service (which is why I bought it) doesn't work anymore.

Hello ParrotSquawk,
Thank you very much for the offer Actually I posted the pro apk here some time ago thinking it would not be a problem since there was no way to buy it anymore and development stopped as well, but the moderators didn't appreciate that...
For info even with the pro apk you cannot access the pro features, it somehow checks on google play if you bought it and locks it to free version.
I gave up on alarmpad for that reason. I wanted to use it because of its tasker integration, but ended up using ClockTask plugin. Not exactly the same thing but also very well integrated with tasker.
Cheers !
I don't know how much help this is, I was worried that I would need to find an alternative when i upgraded my 3½ year old S7 Edge to my Note 10 +.
Thankfully, despite being no longer available, it transferred over through SmartSwitch and is working fine except for the sign in/backup feature.
That said, does anyone else know of any other app that works like AlarmPad? It is a must for me as I'm on shift work and EVERY duty is different.
Old thread..but...
My biggest issue with this app currently is that the data can't be backed up anymore. If I reset my phone I have to create all the alarms and hashtags again. (My phone does not have root available).
If someone could recode it to backup and restore using an SD card ... That would be great.

Google Play Store on Chinese OP 7 Pro?

So my OnePlus 7 Pro arrived today and I'm having problems with getting Play Store working on my phone. Apparently there already have been google services on my phone, thanks to what I could install gmail or google chrome and use them without problems, however there's no playstore. Before, I used to download google package installer from Chinese app market but this time it shows as if I already had everything installed which is strange.
So I downloaded apk for the playstore from the internet which apparently broke my apps using google play services and had to factory reset phone and I'm not sure how to get it working.
Has anyone dealt with it?

I'm not sure if I'll be asked to log into my google immediately after reboot. And I wouldn't be able to do it without setting a vpn connection. So I don't want to end up with useless phone till I leave China.
I'm not sure if that google verification or connection at least is needed to correct me if I'm wrong

Hi! I am fighting with this issue for over a week now
You can change Oxygen to Hydrogen Global version to remove Google Services lock
[simply by downloading global version from the OP website and installing it through the local upgrade],
but it comes with the price:
Text Messages are not graphical anymore
No Spam/Advert calls warnings
There's no access to the OP Market which is quite essential if you're living in China
So it seems like there is no way to have everything from the both words in one phone...?
ps: Greetings from GZ
Apkpure
Hi,
I just bought a OP7 (not pro) from JD.com and just realized as well there was no Play store.
Actually I was able to download it from m.apkpure.com and it worked like a charm (of course VPN required). Hope it works for you too.
Cheers,

HiVision Re-download?

Hello,
So I'm using P20 pro chinese version (CLT-AL00), using it not in China though. So yesterday I managed to update the EMUI to 9.1.0.321 (C00E320R1P1) via HiCare (had to change region to China, to get the update). After the update, I did some apk cleaning. Deleted some rarely used apps. I uninstalled HiVision by mistake, and now it's gone from my phone. Tried googling for a replacement, and got HiVision 19.0.3.315 from apkpure. Installed it, but it wasn't working properly. The shopping worked fine, but the identify feature crashed the app. I'm guessing it's the wrong version for my EMUI version.
Can anyone help me point to where I can re-download a working HiVision for EMUI 9.1.0.321? Also if anyone have the link to an English version of HiVision, that'd be awesome. The previous HiVision I had only connects to Chinese sites. Like in shopping, it only displayed stuffs on sale on Taobao site, with CNY currency.
Thank you in advance.
Ah, I found the solution. I'll just write it here, in case someone else encounters the same problem as me.
So I downloaded the HiVision app again from apkpure, the one that crashed. When I want to install it, it asked a question about the apk, and gave a few choices, 'Install from (Huawei) appgallery', 'install', and 'cancel'. All this time I just chose 'install' with all my third party downloaded apks. This time I chose the 'install from appgallery', and it took me to the download page in appgallery.
I have tried searching for hivision in appgallery, prior to posting this thread, but couldn't find any results. Turns out the hivision in appgallery was in Chinese characters (which I cannot read or write).
My second question stands, though. If anyone have a link to an English version of hivision (one that displays in English, and takes me to English marketplaces for shopping), that'd be awesome.
Thank you.
Try apkmirror has Hivision I'm pretty sure that be in English too

Hi, thank you for the reply.
I tried it, right after I read your reply. I opened hicare first, changed the region to UK, in an attempt to 'trick' the system. Then I downloaded the hivision from apkmirror. It's the same version as the one I downloaded from apkpure before, but downloaded and installed it anyway.
Same problem, when in shopping mode, it redirected me to chinese online shops. When in identify mode, it crashes everytime it recognizes an object.
I think it reads the actual ROM (not region). If it's china ROM, then chinese sites.
Oh well.....
PS: I understand google lens does more or less the same thing as hivision. Tried installing lens and google photos, but couldn't get it to work in my phone. Anyone have a huawei friendly google lens apk?
