I am thinking about going to kitkat from marshmallow, mainly because I got tired of whiteness of material design and want better battery life.
Is there anybody who compared kitkat to marshmallow about battery life? Which one got better battery?
Or is it berret to just flash marshmallow/nougat and install some pitch black theme on it?
Also do I need to flash older version of recovery if going to flash kitkat or do I just can install newest one?
I suggest staying on MM/N for latest security patches. I use (cataclyms) KK in multirom as secondary. It works flawlessly. Very quick and responsive. You can use any recovery to flash KK
Personnaly i would choose the Beltz nougat rom by @setiawanjimmy (It's availble on Devs-base.com) and Beltz substratum theme (or any other dark theme there are plenty good ones)
Beltz is smooth , has great battery life and has some nice customizations.

Also Euclidean OS is very nice , has a system wide dark theme switch and substratum OMS for theming
Did you test if there is a difference in battery life kitkat vs marshmallow?
I tried to stay on kitkat but I kinda miss the material design atm on Android L preview becaause i can and the bad thing is i can use apps there from playstore cus the all crash

I ve flashed this ROM and is very neat fast and everything working fine.
Too early to say if its a bug, but did have this 2 problems:
1. Could not download gapps from your link so downloaded directly from gapps site for arm, 5.1, 32 bit, full stock version, but unable to flash the same, it says I do not have enough memory, but I have more than 10 Gb free! Anyways flashed nano version and all went fine!
2. Once I noticed the phone went off, while disconnecting from charger, I switched off and reset the device, and so far no issues. Will update asap.
Otherwise very smooth no issues and the camera included, I feel is the best of all ROM's. Thanks, really liked it.
And a very noob question, (I am very new to this custom ROM's concept), When switching on for the first time, saw a screen saying looking for available updates, so my query is whether ROM will also revieve updates (ota)??

Hi friend, I've just installed the Rom and I got the 2nd bug, and now I'm reinstalling with my previous Gapp.

when I disconnect charger, phone turns off... only the 1st time
but now it's solved with mine Gapps.
camera is excellent really, but just its max resolution is 5 MP, I hope you find a solution for this to obtain also 8MP.

This ROM is working grate only problem is battery automatically increases battery percentage and automatically decreases pls fix this bug

Honestly stock roms are really out of date, and believe me, it eats a lot of battery and mostly RAM.
I suggest you to upgrade to CM 12 (Android 5.1) as it is the best version you can have.

Took an S8 Rom made for firefly aurii and re-ported to Leagoo M8 using porting tools .

i have problem with leagoo m8 screen, it was working fine, but after updating few apps facing its screen issue, some time touch works fine, but some time touch get disable.... i have also restore it and install custom rom by Sp_flash... but still problem exist, any one who can help pls

Hi every one, i have try it, and all install corect, i can beleave that my phone is so faster, i will post more about it...
1st camera not work like 13 mpixel, is bad, same on the frond camera, is bad,
2nd wen i go to settings-sound- and press to aply a ringtone, is not ope, i have to go from musik and chose the ringtone like default,
3rd in file manager i cant pick and delete the files i dont wana keep,

Hey guys! I'm currently using my s7 G930F running on AOSP extended rom and I wanted to switch to a new ROM because this ROM was a bad experience for me. I wanted to ask if I should flash another ROM like the superman ROM or lineage os or just go back to the stock firmware. I love customisation but I don't want to compromise on my devices performance.
