This issue has bugged me for ages. Poweramp and Neutron both scan and find my whole collection with NO issues, why do most music apps, and Android, fail this simple task?
I just tried re-naming and moving some albums from a parent directory to the main Music directory. BAM! They show up in a simple music app now. So, you have your Music folder and only store individual albums within. Don't use artist folders with album sub directories. So simple a solution but nobody ever told me that when it's been mentioned on forums

Hey All,
I'm having a weird problem this morning. When I goto the music tab and try to play a song, it just keeps flowing through the album covers one after another and never stops and won't play. Also, when I try to launch Windows Media Player it won't start. I also tried going to file explorer and opening a mp3 with no luck. Anyone else has this?

Did you try a soft reset? Is your music DRM'ed?
I had a problem with my music not playing when my license got wiped out.
Yeah, I've reset it a few times. it's all standard mp3s.

QCast brings shared party playlists to your Chromecast. When you host a party, everyone can add songs to the shared queue, and downvote those they don't like - if a majority is reached, the song is automatically skipped. The host maintains the option to swipe songs away to remove them, skip to the next track, and control volume.
