Hi all!
Is there any way i can install Andriod 6.0 (B560) on my MATE 7 without having to put it on the sd card? i dont have a sd card big enough the hold the 2gb of the dload folder with the image in. Is there a way i can do it through my pc?

Well I successfully rooted and isntalled a new ROM thanks to thehelpful members on this site and the guides.
I have now purchased a 32GB Micro SD to replace the 4GB in the Desire.
My question is, how do I copy the old stuff to the new card? Just copy and paste or are there hidden files etc which will require a clone?
Will all my apps work as before after changing the card?

ok another stupid question.
If windoes cant see the drive, how do I get 4gb of data from my old card to my new card as I cant put them both in my phone at the same time??
So just to clarify
To install a new memory card:-
I need to install Android SDK
I also need Java SDK to run Android SDK
I then need ADB to run commands to access the android
and then something called Cyanogen?

So now I have to get a new pc or partition this one to dual boot to enable me to run an OS I have never used in my life?
Is this really the only way to copy 2.5gb of files from one card to another?
1. Just do a nandroid + ext backup
2. Copy all files from SD to PC
3. Insert new card
4. Copy all files from PC to new card through recovery
5. Do a nand restore

Cheers for that, I have checked the nadroid back up docs and it says
"By fully back up, I don’t mean backing up just your address book or your emails, or your dog. I mean EVERYTHING that resides on your phone with the exception of the SD card"
So I can backup everything except my card which is what I wanted to back up in the first place?
Cant seem to find a way to back up the SD card to the PC to install a new SD card and restore from the pc
tried to create partition FAIL
tried to create partion in windows FAIL
tried to load with ROM manager get E: e signature verification failed
So am I to assume my brand new 32gb card is FUBAR?
Im a little confused on how to change SD Cards too.
My partner has a Legend with only 2gig card, will swap this for a 4gig SD Card.
Can I just exchange cards in the phone, format new card in phone and then copy all files from old card to new with my windows PC?
If the mobile creates the file system structure on the SD Card and I copy the files over to it is that fine?

Does anyone have the definitive answer on this please?
Even with copy and paste on the new card, you copy 3.6gb to the pc and then 400mb goes back the other way, all folders are EMPTY

I have bought a new sandisk micro sd card (16GB). Could you please tell me how to install it.
I guess it is not as straight forward as copying the files from the old sd card into the new one, as apps are installed in the old one.. My old sd card is the stock card which I got with the phone.
Also could you please direct me how to upgrade my OS. I am still on android 2.2. I tried following the directions given in the LG homepage but the update software just does no install on my laptop (Windows 7). Also PC suite also does not work properly on Windows 7 and I am not even being able to take backup. Please help.

installing SD card is as easy as copying all folders. don't miss the '.android secure 'folder. that one contains ur apps moved to sd
Download stock rom labeled v20g. use kdz to flash it. u ll find the tutorial in this forum

Thanks for the answer. My phone is not rooted and I don't want to do that presently. So simply copying all the files (inlcuding .android) into the new sd card will work?

Yesterday i flashed a mashmallow rom on my Samsung Galaxy note 2 . Every thing was fine until i got a message which told me to erase my sd card so as to be able to move my apps on it. I accepted but the setting crashed when i pressed ok . I entered in the setting again and i saw that my sd card was corrupted .Since then i flashed my previous rom and i'm now on android lollipop. But the problem is that i can't create/move any forlder on my sd card . I'm able to move my photos or rar file in the sd card. I am also able to create new File in it .
I want to know xhat is the problem and how to fix it. I know i wrote a long essay but i am worried about my Sd card because its a 32 GB one . please help me .... and thanks in advance .

hello all, if someone can point me into the right direction. anyway my brother gave me his mediapad x2, he had it for about 1 year, and he did a reset a hard reset i think, and now when you reboot the phone tablet, its says no os installed. i was told that the os is removed and need to be flash back on. where is the steps to reinstalled back the stock rom or custom rom so that i can have root access. i looked at youtube but got not much help and i come to you all to please assist me in this matter. hope to hear from you soon.
This depends on the version which was installed before on the device. If he wiped the firmware, he must have installed a custom recovery and perhaps rooted and installed a custom Rom. It's important to know if he had installed 5.1.1 or higher, because if you try to install a 5.0 version on a upgraded device, it will stop the charging battery.
Check if it's unlocked, by booting with usb connection ahs holding volume down key.
Check if it's launching TWRP if use is not connected and you press vol up key on boot.
If you can start TWRP tap on advanced file manager and check if there is a dload folder on internal sd with a file inside. Rename the file update.app which is inside, to anything else, or delete
Put the downgrade script to external sd card in a folder named dload.
Start the device while holding vol up and down.
Then exchange the files inside external dload folder with the 4 files which come with b202 zip file which you find in our forum.
Then do the update again while starting with vol up and down key.

sd card not reading
hello there, thank you very much for the help, i was able to reflash using twrp and now i have build version kangvip slim b212 android version 6.0. i am able to put my sim card from att inside it and it works with text, email, pictures everything. but here is where the problem lies, since it had 2 sim card slots i made a mistake and put my sim card into my sd card slot, and had a hell of a time removing it. now my sd card slot is not working. the sim card slot is working fine, just the top sd card slot not working, maybe i messed up a pin on the sd card socket, or something. is there anyone on this site that repair sd card sockets, or is there a way for me to get help with the sd card socket. i really dont want to put it on ebay to sell it because the sd card now does not want to work. if you can point me again in the right spot that will be appreciated once more. thank you very much. i seen on youtube where you can open up the phone and replace the sd card socket, a 3 dollar part, but i am not an expert in soder and before i do that i would rather just sell the phone, its unlocked, so hope you can help. oh yeah the phone is a huawei mediapad x2 gold color, with 32 gb unlocked and has a scratch proof screen on front. hope that helps in finding a solution
