[DEV] Kernel Development Team

All I see in the Dev section is Roms... I dont think there are enough kernel devs here so I am here to develop a kernel for MMX A110 but the thing is I dont have the device So I need a few testers who can test and give logcats and stuff! Anyone up for the job?
Another Thing, Can someone provide me the links of Kernel Sources?

My first question is how can I upgrade the kernel from 3.0.13 to 3.0.X.X I think I have to use a patch.
Also, all the code is not in the same version. There are piece of codes upgraded other not...
The source does not seem clean

Hmm... The source code needs cleaning but I am just another noob.. (Whatever I am is of xda!)
People dont expect this kernel to be in front of you that fast.. This would be my 1st Kernel (I guess)! Please co-operate!

I think you could have said it in a polite manner! MMX A110 does not have much developers.. So its better to support rather than demoting!

buddy for now there is no need for ril sorce once we have build the rom, booted it then we can work on it

Guys,couldn't we just port it,i mean the bugs would still exist but we'll have a bootable cm,and then we can build it from source if possible, there's a guide on porting between various mtk phones by master @yuweng maybe it will help you guys.
They have bootable cm11 with ril working just by porting,what more could we ask for?

Porting is not easy as you think. Especially in the case of CyanogenMod. Source building takes more time but we can fix the bugs in no time. Plus ril sources are leaked.

CyanogenMod 11 build coming soon!!! (uberlaggydarwin's work)

I am going to upload a CM11 build soon , I have built it using the Build Guide from Brinly Taylor a.k.a @uberlaggydarwin , all credits go to him . I am just following steps and building.
Basically this week you can expect me to upload the build. I'll see if its going to be a flashable .zip or just .IMG files.
Xperia L owners will get the taste of full fixed , ORIGINAL work.
I'll keep this thread updated

Let's hope the person that created the thread will make that CM for us and upload it this week.

Which kernel do you use it for clean AOKP ROM?
I will make my kernel compatible to DUAL-BOOT for supporting TW,-MIUI,-AOKP-ROMs.

For sure .... now its just raw not even beta yut ... coz now i managed to make it boot by modding kernel other n .ramdisk...and now also contacted Halazk88 to help .. to make proto type kernel by syncing AOKP kernel tree ... for release

You can see my device name in my signature.
Before we start modding we need to actually build a stable rom. So I want to learn that first. Customization and stuff comes later... I can only teach you to compile kernel and adding some basic features rest you'll have to do.
