[Q] Problem rooting Xperia S ROM 6.1.A.2.55

Hello,
I just upgraded to 6.1.A.2.55 ROM on my Xperia S but I can't get it rooted using Bin4ry's method. I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004738 but it's actually only for unlocked bootloaders . My device is carrier branded so I'm not allowed to unlock it..
Is there any solution to get it rooted ?

[Q] How to root Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos GT-S6802

Hi All ,
I have been doing my research for rooting and installing custom rom on my phone ( samsung galaxy ace duos gt-s6802 ) which is on gingerbread 2.3.6 .
Read a few guides and got the procedure for root and installing custom rom , downloaded packages for them as well .
But on few links i came across that one needs to unlock the bootloader for performing a successful root and upgrade .
I could not find any guides on how to unlock the bootloader for my specific device .
So , will unlocking the bootloader be required for my device ?
If yes then how should i go about it ?
Please help me proceed on this .

well when i had my samsung galaxy ace plus i rooted with superoneclick v2.3 i believe dont hold me to that but that was easy enough, google phone drivers , then enable usb debugging.

I guess that CWM Recovery will take care of your problem with the bootloader, no?
I came through with the same problem as you did. I ll give it a try though.

I have a MTS MBLAZE 5 handset manufactured by ZTE with model number N919D.
I have rooted my device. I searched all forums but couldn't find any custom recovery or ROM for this device.
Kindly help in developing one.

Hey, its very simple to root zte N919D. The most simplest method is by using framaroot available on xda. doenload the latest version and install in on your phone. After installing it open the app and you'll see an option saying install superuser. Select that and below that you'll have two options or three. Select anyone. if fails do not panic and simply try the next one. One of them will show you a pop up saying Success . after that reboot your phone and voila. Your phone is rooted

Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. No, unfortunately there's no way to unlock the bootloader on that model of phone, which also means you can't flash a custom recovery or custom ROMs on it either.
