Im trying to figure out if I can remove my google account without fixing the touch screen. It is black and non functional. I just want my google account removed.

there are programs which can to some extent exercise struck pixels
but it's a temp thing and sooner or later the pixel will be stuck on or off
so if you got a warranty I'd suggest that path

I use Screen off and lock found in Google play store.
Screen off and lock ap by Kattaca is one of the only "real one" of these apps available. The multitude of widgets are useless, they just black your screen. Only problem with these apps in android 4.0+ is there is an instant reflash of the screen when the screen shuts off. This is not an issue with the app it, is a bug in the android os. I personally do not mind because I love the app, get the donate version and be glad you did. I've been in contact with the dev testing on different os's and he is on the issue as soon as there is a fix available.

others but none of them work. Although Screen Off and Lock isn't
perfect its the only game in town if you need a one click to turn off

Ok on my non rooted note 5 on sprint the instructions about going to the settings and edit and select screen mirroring don't work, as IT'S NOT there. To enable it, take a picture, go to the album, select the picture, hit share, at the bottom click screen mirroring. Way to go Samsung and Sprint. I'm pretty sure that this is either the result of the last update or Sprint.

I recently acquired a Pixel 2 and installed Official LineageOS 18.1 and with MindTheGapps.
I've encountered two issues:
1.The phone takes a screen capture whenever I squeeze either the lower left side or right side of the phone. It seems there are two hidden buttons on the lower left and lower right of the Pixel 2? However, I searched online for this feature and nothing camp up! They all mentioned pressing the power and volume botton to take screen capture. My pixel 2 takes a screen capture whenever I hold the phone tight at the bottom. It takes a few decent captures in a matter of minutes. It's getting rediculous. I have to go to the screen capture folder and delete those random captures. Is my phone broken? or hidden features? Is there a way to disable these hidden side bottons?
2.Phone contact sync doesn't work. I checked the sync options under Google Account and the contact is not showing on the sync list of "Account Sync". I saw Docs, Drive, Gmail, Google Calender, Google Play books, Keep notes, Sheets etc.... But the Contact is not there!

I found the menu to disable the squeeze screenshot. The menu is called: Active Edge. Just disable it.
But I still have the problem of Contact App not syncing.
I found the solution to fix GPS, contact syncing:
Do a factory reset. It worked on two phones on latest LOS 18.1: Pixel 2 and Oneplus One.

Recently got the watch 4 and this has been mind boggling me since the day i got it.
Is there any way to have Google Maps update the location on the watch with the screen of on the phone?
Navigation works fine, but as soon as i turn off the screen on the phone to put it my pocket, navigation stops updating on the watch. I guess it also stops updating on the phone as the screen is off.
I have tried several things, give location access at all time for maps on both phone and watch. Also removed any battery restrictions or power saving features for maps. Also checked the sleep lists in device care on the phone, but maps is nowhere to be found there at all and cant be added.
I did write with Samsung support and they did actually confirm that this is not a feature and that phone screen has to be on/phone unlocked for navigation to keep updating..
Is there any workaround for this at all?
Phone is a a52s 5g and it is already going mental sometimes in the pocket even when locked. God knows how many pocket screenshots I have of emergency dial with endless of numbers input.
Thats most likely a samsung/oneui problem rather than android's/watches fault.
