Android Games in a Browser - Android General

Hey guys,
I've been trying to figure out how i can play existing mobile games in a web browser. Instead of the actual game loading on the browser i just want to be able to click on event/mission/quest and it completes it for me. I've taken a few courses in HTML/CSS/JS/PHP and can't seem to figured out the next step. I would really appreciate any feed back.
Thank you!

What have you done with Blue Stacks?

Well this is my first post on XDA, but since BlueStacks came out and I've had a chance to play around with it, I had to ask how other XDA members were utilizing it. I've managed to get ADW Launcher EX on there with a bunch of apps including podcastr, halo reach stats, IMO, 4shared, appBrain and more. When I pull up the emulator the ADW desktop is set to the largest amount of icons on the homepage so it looks just like an Android Desktop OS would look like. I'm pretty excited with home snappy it runs and wondering if this could ever become an actual OS - this is really clean compared to Windows. It definitely needs to be fixed up but I like it.
Seems like BlueStacks might be taking it in a "Premium" direction though. The market won't work so the only way to get APK's is with there cloud app or via 4shared or the browser (apks). Also you have internet but not on your own wifi, I believe it connects to there server and routes you through it so watch what you are doing on it - when you pull up the browser its there homepage and there is no wifi settings even though I turned wifi on with the power widget.
Check out the screenshot and tell me what your doing with BlueStacks
This software dose not have a proxy so don't worry about it, its just a virtual player and its still a baby.
Here is a little post I did on FB about what I use it for
Hey guys, the posts have been a little slow so I thought I would as a question that we all can reply to, when you do use bluestacks what do you use it for?
I use mine for testing my apps I make or apps I want to use on none supported android devices, I also sometimes use it to play that piggy game that comes with it lol I also use it for web dev when I want to see how it looks like without finding my phone out lol
I still don't feel bluestacks is able to do what we all need it to do, I feel its down the bluestacks trying to limit us on how we use it and the player is good but at the moment still very unstable, I really hope they will get better and I keep watching, what about you what do you use it for and what's your view on it so far.
I would give there app 6/10

The web uses the connection of the pc and the browsers home page is just set to bluestack so your ok, people have been moding bluestack with no problems, your right they are heading for a pro version but you can install apps via the adb or web and other things like that.
I use bluestacks as a small window I made gizmostack that lets you resize the window, so I hope this lets you see one others might use it for good luck.

[Q] Java script and browser woes

The question I have is, what the hell is wrong with android and java scrivpt ? every browser I try has problems with executing java based content. The stock browser and browser plus seem to take a holiday whenever they want. Text fields seem to migrate all over the page, and refuse to input text. If it does by some miracle it does work, selecting the next field is a crap shoot if it will work or wonk out. Is there a decent browser that doesnt choke on java ?
Try firefox (beta) or chrome.

Java and Javascript are two very different languages, Java is a language to be run on a VM (a modified version is actually used to run android) and Javascript is a scripting language used in webpages. Android does not support running Java apps, but that is not what you are asking. For your Javascript issues the default browser or chrome should do fine, the default browser has a user friendly way to always use desktop sites that you might want to check to have pages behave more like normal pages than mobile pages if you haven't already changed it.
My mistake about java and java script. I am more of a hardware guy than a software guy. I usually try to use the desktop site if I can. The problem I have is usually with a popup form of some kind. Comcast and Espn use simular forms. Using chrome works for most sites, but it is by no means the perfect browser. It is frustrating as of late the number of sites that seem to choke this tablet. Having 4 cores seems to have little benefit in rendering the webpage. Case in point, my dual core Sensation phone runs the desktop sites faster than this tablet.
I am having same issues (well my wife is). We purchased this device in hopes of it being able to double for her online classes and to take with us when out & about to entertain the kids when they do not want to sit still in restaurant etc. She is able to login into her site for school but when it comes to pop ups, applets and such it does not work. The tablet did receive the jellybean update and was hoping someone could offer some assistance in getting it working. I am somewhat a tech savvy guy and have turned on javascript, allowed popups, tried multiple browsers like dolphin, skyfire, the preloaded one, boat and none seem to allow her to do anything. I have not tried rooting or placing any sort of cooked roms in fear of messing it up. any help of steering in correct direction would be of greatest help.

Now are you using the stock browser or Chrome? Chrome might be better on account I think most sites see chrome as the desktop version and has better compatibility. Just make sure to use desktop version in the settings.
will try that out....i hoping this will cure the woes....but as far as browsers, tried the stock, opera, dolphin, skyfire,& boat. never tried chrome but willing to give it a whirl. if i have any issues, ill come back to this thread. THANKS again....

[APP][2.2+] NoDetour

Hi there,
just wanted to get some feedback on my app. It is actually more a helper than an app, but anyway I think here on XDA I have the best chance of finding people who might have a use for it.
So if you are sometimes annoyed by short-URL's on your phone then take a look at my app, otherwise just walk away
What it does is that when you click on a short-URL (or on a link in Facebook), it gets the destination of that URL and directly sends you to the corresponding app. E.g.: When you are in your Twitter-app and click on a short-URL that links to a YouTube video what would normally happen is that your browser opens up and resolves the short-URL after which the browser would open up the YouTube app. With NoDetour the browser step is skipped. I know, not a big revolution, but for those of us with limited performance not unhandy.
Enough talk, here it is:

I will check this thread from time to time, so feedback is always appreciated!

Runescape 3 HTML5 on Android?

Alright this is very possible and i'm just seeking opinions and ideas on how to get this going full throttle. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon and i've noticed that with the touchwiz browser I can actually reach the login screen for the HTML5 beta. The browser just doesnt know how to operate with HTML5 that well i dont believe. I've tried multiple browsers and these are the ones that were no goes for me:
Chrome
Opera
Dolphin
Firefox
Chrome was no chance. Opera said it didnt support html5 or something. Dolphin didnt support WebGL and firefox wouldnt store the large amounts of data necessary.
I am a noob at this but im just starting to learn more about this tech.
We need a browser that has these abilities:
WebGL
Local Storage for large amounts(not sure the term)
HTML5 Support
Considering the popularity of the game i think if someone could put together a script or just a modded version of a browser that could run it that would be really nice.:good:
I doubt anyone has the interest to do it though. But i think that possibly the person who could put together a apk or script or anything that would allow u to open up the html5 Runescape game and interact with it, would get alot of good donations. I can click on the different parts of the login screen but the username/password selections would not bring up a keyboard.
TL-DR
Anyone have a clue to get RS3(HTML5) working on Android?
Heres a Nexus 7 running it but idk how they got past the login screen.

Note: When im on different Roms i usually cant even get the game to load. Browser related issues.

I know I probably won't get a response to this post but I thought I would try anyway. I'm running a samsung galaxy tab 3 SMT 310 Android 4.2 .2. I would love to play runescape on my tablet I tried enabling OpenGL through Google's flags like it said in the forum but I cannot find an option to enable OpenGL in the flag list . Can anyone help me?
Hit thanks if I helped u sent from SM-T310 using Tapatalk
Gave it a shot:
I've had it running on my Nexus 5. I used an app called "Hacker's Keyboard" to log in. Sadly, Chrome crashes before I am able to get in-game and do anything. I've also tried puffin browser and the miui browser but neither support WebGL. Just as a side note: I found that when logging in, I had to tap a position up and to the right from the actual position of the button I wished to press. I wish more game developers would of had mobile gaming in mind when they launched it, even if they didn't there are still companies that remake older games that can be played on your Nexus. For instance, the older version of runescape, has runescape classic android, an APK you run, you do not even need to do any work arounds for it.
