Well, your warranty is void from the beginning of the process, some manufactures/carriers void warranties when you unlock the bootloader or install root or install twrp...
That is why many developers create modified bootloader or hacks in order to by pass that warranty rule...

What are the chances of getting a flashable zip of this with the latest update?

I haven't take that update yet.
Is that OTA the 52110e? Because if it is that I'm just waiting to get a confirmation that we can downgrade without antirollback restrinction.
Once someone tells me that we can downgrade fron 10e to 10c I will work with the stock KDZ and make roms Stocks and Slims from each kdz.

Ok, good to know, let me ask you this?
You take the OTA and downgrade with the 10c from tungkick right?
Very good information, now I just need the last confirmation, I need to know if we can go at will from 10c to 10e and viceversa but using the orignal kdzs (not the tungkick .dz cuz is already modified). I need this because I want to work with the original files.
I don't have the time to test that, I work 8-10 hours everyday, I have to spend time with my wife and my 4 childrens, go to the church (I like it) and help friend with graphic design, volume priting, studio recording, and a large etc...
Besides all that, I have to investigate about android and some troubles here and there...
Right now I'm giving the last spin to iPioneer Slim 0.1 (it only takes 700mb and I'm trying to hit the 500mb) so I really want to finish that rom, make it available for everyone and then rest from all of this for 1 week [emoji6] [emoji6] [emoji6] , after that I want to do the update and create the roms for that update.
So... If somebody can try to upgrade/downgrade using the original .kdz only I will be very happy to get informed.

That doesn't make sense. It states July 25. That was yesterday. The boards would be buzzing if anyone received the OTA!
I still have old baseband so I might try to update, only reason I didnt because rooting the device is a problem after doing it

There's going to be a lot of cheap g2x for sale on kijiji and craigslist.
This is 100% right. There was a post on the T-Mobile community page for RSA's yesterday. Since I work for T-Mobile i saw this as well. The OTA is v21e so it is the same version as the LG updater.T-Mobile also has it listed that if you do not want to do the OTA, to use the LG updater and update that way. This is a Official msg relased to all t-mobile employe's yesterday.

You don't need to go back to stock recovery, it will overwrite it and all you have to do is nvflash it again.

So all I need to do is keep cwm, restore my stock ROM that I had backed up as soon as I nvflashed cwm, and then I should get an OTA update in which I will then lose root and cwm and be at 2.3.3 stock? Correct?
I'm not seeing the OTA update. It says I have the current version. I restored a backup I made right before I started installing ROMs so my current info is Kernel 2.6.32.9, Software Version V10F, Baseband March 17, and Android 2.2.2. I also restored the stock recovery.
Any ideas? Does the OTA roll out slowly?

I think that's what people were doing with the LG update so I don't see why it would be different for OTA.
Many people got bricked g2x's so I'm worried, and your saying you did a stock recovery so I'm wondering why if you didn't have to
I have 2.2 but my baseband version its july 15 .I can't do the update via lg software, it says that im uptodate :/ .. how can I get the old baseband version?

Just download the 20c kdz from here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/mobile/index.php?id_mod=62
Be careful to get the right one for your model, 6WN/TAIWAN is for the 16gb variant, while TWN/TAIWAN is for the 32gb. Once you downloaded the firmware, flash it with lg flash tool 2014 and select CSE flash. It will erase all your data, so make a back up first.

Possible to flash the KDZ with normal flash so it doesn't wipe? I currently have the latest official KitKat.
You can do it with normal flash but you will likely have some problems, as they are different OS versions. A full wipe it's always the best way to avoid troubles. Take your time and do a back up first

M8 Stagefright patch apply to s-off, rooted, unlocked & Stock

Hi,
I see the Stagefright patch came out today. I'm on Stock Rooted Lollipop with S-off and unlocked. My phone was able to download the patch but then went to TWRP recovery so no dice.
I'm aware of the process needed to get the OTA to work. Just wondering if any side-loadable forms of the Stagefright patch may be forthcoming from some of the genius developers around here. Obviously want the fix but not so sure about having to undue everything on my phone.
Otherwise, is the best suggestion to reflash stock recovery and then take the OTA? IS it true this won't re-lock my phone or S-On it again? Seems if these remain unchanged from current state I would have easier time.
Thanks for ANY advice. Always appreciate it.
I just noticed that my phone was downloading the OTA, im s-off,stock,5.0.1. I see you took the OTA, did you have any issues with the phone? Im currently trying to figure out if i should take it, just dont want to brick my phone or anything
I would just sit tight. Someone is bound to extract the contents and post a flashable zip with confidence that it won't cause any problems. Give it a day or 3.
My phone downloaded, went into recovery. Saw that it was TWRP and didn't do anything. So technically, the download didn't take. I will wait as the next comment suggests....flashable zip is surely inbound.
Thanks!

I had that problem too, along with lots of lag. The reason is because you have the Noble kernel. Flash SkyHigh instead as the Noble kernel is very buggy.

Getting mine too
Hey guys, I have a question I hope someone can help me out with. I have the sm-g935v which I flashed to sm-g935u. I'm considering flashing it to sm-g935t since the unlocked firmware will be getting quarterly updates which is unfortunate, and I would like to use samsung cloud, FM radio, and now Nougat. Would I have to factory reset my phone back to the verizon firmware before flashing tmobile's, or can I just flash from my current unlocked firmware straight to tm? Prior to Nougats release, I had downloaded the latest tmobile firmware and tried to flash it with no success so not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OTA
Won't taking the OTA update certain partitions we don't necessarily want to update? Like the BL, for example? Could this prevent rolling back to 6.0.1 if there are issues? Or does this not matter since we don't have an unlocked BL anyway? Thanksssss

I got this also and updated this morning. Very smooth and loving it! Did OTA update and one thing i noticed after updating i wasn't able to clear my cache like before. When i power down, hold all 3 buttons (power, home and up key) get a screen more like a warning saying installing other firmware's or roms can damage my device. Not the exact wording but similar. Has anyone else tried doing that and got the same warning msg?
