Big help... - HTC One SV

First of all ,I want to thank you for your work in the community. It's great.
I have an HTC one SV 4G LTE.It was working very well but one day just stocked and I tried by myself to restore it but to no avail.I have tried all i can to unlock the bootloader but nothing.
These are the characteristics

I have tried HTCDev method, adb one but nothing.I don't know what to do......
Please help me.
Thanks
NB:Sorry bot i forgot to say that it's like my OS is wiped because before me somebody tried to do a flash but did not succeed.Sorry once more

Try to flash a RUU (this will wipe all data):
Download this file: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960683578
Rename the zip file to PL80IMG.zip (make sure it is not named PL80IMG.zip.zip) and copy it in the external sdcard.
Then boot into the bootloader and let the phone recognize the PL80IMG.zip. Confirm to update with vol+ and let it run until its finished.

Thanks a lot.But sorry i forgot to tell you that it's like my OS has been wiped.Somebody else tried to flash it without succeeding.Beside that i've just tried what you told me but it's saying no or wrong image.
What can i do?

You have tried to unlock with htcdev webside and fastboot (not adb) without success?
And RUU is also not working?

Hello, first of all sorry for the delay of my answer.Yes i've tried those methods but my bootloader still mark lock.About adb, i have this systematic answerevice not found.
As i mentionned before it seems like my os have been wiped without backup.
Please help me.........

By the way what are you thinking about viper rom for htc one sv?

You can have a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541843
There is a bootloader unlock for S-off devices without htcdev explained.
But without working adb/fastboot/ruu i don't have hope for your device!

OK.Thanks for everything.Let me go and check and i will give you a feedback

The part of interest of this thread is this one (in an adb shell):
- To unlock:
Code:
echo -ne "HTCU" | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=1 seek=33796

[Q] Strange version of the software and install official rom

I'm a noob of Android and I begin yesterday to read this forum and find some solution.
I bought this new phone HTC EDIT: "Desire S" from a friend of mine, but the version installed is very strange:
Android 2.3.3
HTC Sense 2.1
Radio 20.26.30.084AU _38.03.00.03_M
Build 1.21 .0.0 CL18158 test-keys
Software 1.21.0.0
I have installed "root check" app and it say that I have the root access and I haven't do nothing.
I would like to install the official rom (I found the verision on this post ) to resolve some bugs that are present in my phone, but I don't know if the device will work well.
I need first to backup all the rom and in case of problem re-install.
I install ROM Manager and try to install ClockworkMod but it give me an error about privileged. The problem could be the S-ON, but I'm not sure.
Now the question:
how to make a S-Off without risk?
If I install a official rom, do the ClockworkMod, root access and S-OFF remain installed?
If I reach my goal, I will created a guide that collect the steps of installing a rom for noob as me
1) desire or desire s?
2) test keys? if u got a s-off bootloader, don't update your rom, WE NEED YOUR BOOTLOADER!
1. It is Desire S.
2. I will not update in this case. How I can be sure that is it S-off? In that case how can I give you my bootloader?
Thanks
Hold [volume-down] and [power] when the phone's turned off.
That last bit's the tricky part - because of a feature called fast boot the DS does not really turn off when you shut it down but just hibernates. So you have to either turn off fast boot (in Settings -> Power) or pull the battery before attempting to enter recovery.
Check the Hboot at the top to see if it's Ship S-ON or S-OFF or ENG
I just made what you say.
SAGA PVT ENG S-OFF
HBOOT-0.98.2000 (PG8810000)
RADIO-38.03.00.03M
eMMC-boot
Then there is menu with some command.
My phone is S-OFF
Can this be usefully for you?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
EXCELLENT we have an ENG S-OFF Desire-S, anyone of the Developers can help us with this if it's useful by any means?!
We need you to dump the Hboot, and upload it here please
1. Download adb zip (http://www.mediafire.com/?5d0v316g9bg97) and extract to c:\
2. Launch Windows console (cmd) and go to the adb folder cd c:\adb
3. "adb devices" <- Is your device detected? If not, install HTC Sync // Of course, before you have to plug your device in.. (sync mode)
4. "adb shell"
5. run "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/hboot.img"
6. Conect your phone in usb mode and Upload to multiupload or Mediafire

I will do it later because I'm not at home now.
This procedure will save personal data, in the sense that is better first to restore default settings of the phone?
What does it means ENG?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
it won't save any data from you, only your bootloader, not your rom
eng = engineering
it's a bootloader, s-off and with more functions (like fastboot to flash new radios)
If we can just get RUU for SAGA same as Asd0rs version 1.21.0.0 won't we be able to flash it to our S-ON devices & get S-OFF
OMFG !!!!!!!!!! Finally an ENG S-OFF !!!!!!!!!! This is the same case with the sensation. Hopefully, they'll find a way to push this into our S-On phones. Also, can you please take a pic of your bootloader screen and post it here? Proof's always good. Also, plzz don't do something like the guy with ENG S-OFF Sensation did. DO NOT FLASH ANY ROM, OR YOU MIGHT LOSE YOUR ENG S-OFF, and we'll be screwed. Thanks !!!
EDIT: It seems like HTC is dropping these on purpose
PS - I thanked

What's wrong?

What md5 checksum do you want to check ?? There are many utilities to check md5 checksum on computer. Run superwipe script , then install Android Revolution HD 6.2.1 , You have the correct firmware for it. I can see.
I have a same problem.
Didn't read the thread very well and I upgraded the wrong firmware.
Now, I just see the ''HTC'' logo and after that it's only rebooting over and over again. I downloaded the firmware I needed, thought I will just replace it with this ''broken'' one, but I'm getting errors all the time. And after that, again rebooting.
HTC Sensation, S-Off, first firmware was 2.3.4.
Error is: ''CID incorrect, update fail'' in HBOOT.
Only way I can stop rebooting after that message is to take out the battery.
Anyone got any other solutions except the first answer?
Thank you in advance, sorry about my bad english.
NOTE: I'm a noob at this, just wanted ICS on my phone. So, please, explain it in ''moron language''

Pull the card out and boot it into hboot mode. Then to recovery. Mount your sd card. Plug it into your computer. Delete the incorrect firmware. Find a superwipe zip. Flash Zip. Then flash correct firmware.

It looks like you have a valid version of the Firmware (HBOOT 1.27.1100). However you need to understand that that version ONLY supports ICS ROMs, so it won't support your old ROM even if you recover it. Also as usual you should SuperWipe when changing things this dramatically.
As you still seem to be able to get into Recovery try the following:
i) Download the Superwipe Script from the ARHD thread, in the Downloads bit in he first post.
ii) Download a full ICS ROM, take your pick (my preference is Virtuous Inquisition 3.5).
iii)Copy the files over to the SD-card from your PC.
iv) Delete the PG59IMG.zip from the SD-card. (ADDED IN EDIT1)
In recovery, run the Superwipe Script. Then Install the ICS ROM. The first re-boot will take a few mins.
To check MD5s just get a free MD5 checker for your PC and also get one for the phone, when it's backup up and running.

You haven't detailed what your HBOOT is at the moment, what does it say if you go into BootLoader ?
As it's mentioning CID, I assume you didn't SuperCID the phone, not an issue just get the right one for you CID from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
After you update the Firmware you'll need to:
i) SuperWipe
ii) Install ICS ROM
iii) Remove the PG58IMG.zip file from the SD-Card.

HBOOT installed the PG58IMG.zip file and after that he's just rebooting.
I have T-Mobile Europe carrier but my HTC is unlocked.
Now, I don't really know what firmware to download or how to check for the right one. Also, I don't know how to SuperWipe or anything so I need someone just to write all the steps. From Wipe to ROM. I found nothing on this anywhere else and I searched all night. I'm new to Android (Have Sensation for about 2 months) so thank you for your help people! Really appreciate it.

I think I need to setup super CID, but I cant as I cant boot the phone to connect via adb on my windows PC... Is there anything I can do to fix?

Tried that, still stuck in the loop. I think half the firmware update has ran, then it has failed, so i need to roll back...
Download both the 3.30 and 3.12 FW. Open the 3.12 zip on your computer and replace just the Hboot file with the one from the 3.30 zip. Then flash the customized zip so you'll have the 3.30 fw with the 3.12 boatloader (1.23 not 1.27) and then flash a 3.30 Rom.
Some phones arent booting with the 1.27 bootloader that comes with the 3.24 and 3.30 fw.

I had the same problem when I first tried to flash a rom, you just have to find the right firmware for your CID, find yours here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767, and if you don't know your CID just superCID as shown in the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 and skip steps 5,6,7, just manually boot into bootloader.
If you want you can also see what I did on this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516373

Are you s-off ? If you are S-OFF , then you need not have any file.
Just boot into bootloader.
Open a fastboot terminal in pc.
and type
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar cid
After this you will get a reply like this CID : 11111111
If you are not S-OFF, then first install adb and fastboot in your pc from here for windows or from here for linux and follow this guide.
How To get your Hboot Version - 3 methods below
1. Run the revolutionary Utility you just downloaded from http://revolutionary.io/ and if it has found your device it should read
"Found your Device: HTC Sensation Z710* Applications -> Development)
4. With the phone switched on (not in HBOOT, just the regular home screen), plug in your USB cable and select HTC sync mode.(IGNORE any warning messages on your phone telling you it cannot find HTC Sync )
5. Launch revolutionary.exe. It should detect the phone and ask for your beta key. Type it (BE CAREFUL, as its case sensitive) or copy and paste it in.
If Revolutionary fails to find your phone verify you have all the drivers installed, try disk drive mode or charging mode (Linux users can use disk drive mode. Confirmed to be working by others)
6. Once you have entered your beta key correctly, follow any on screen prompts or actions from revolutionary and wait for it to S-Off,
7. You're done. Your Device will Successfully have S-OFF....if it hangs on method 3 and doesn't S-Off. See post 2 below for solutions.
IF REVOLUTIONARY SAYS FAILED YOUR PHONE IS NOT SUPPORTED. Go back and check hboot using the methods above. some users are told its failed and they still have S off now. If you have S-off your hboot will now be 1.17.1011 and revolutionary will tell you now your device is not supported
8. Revolutionary will now ask you to Install clockwork recovery mod after S OFF. Type N and install it manually below (the recovery provided is v4.0.1.4 doesn't charge when device is switched off, the one below v5.0.0.1 does charge)
9. Your Device now is S-off.

Thank you so much for the reply.
Open cmd prompt as admin (RT click)

Connect in bootloader via USB, type "fastboot devices" and you should get a response with your serial number.

By fastboot terminal I mean :
Open command prompt in windows.
CD to the directory where adb and fastboot installed ( generally platform-tools folder in the sdk).( Boot your phone into bootloader mode. and connect to pc)
Now type :
in the command prompt:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar cid
After this you will get a reply like this CID : 11111111

I'm having hard time to setting up adb to start.I've downloaded a recovery image.
There's nothing on top of PVT.
After some reading i worry thaat i'll screw it up if i flash the recovery without S-off and unlock bootloader.
I read somewhere that i could download a file from htcdev kernel section and flash but how to flash?i downloaded it.which program i should use to flash the file?
Get a newer RUU and flash. Check the CID and download the correct RUU for your CID.
And stop worrying so much, otherwise you won't fix anything. Flashing with different radio won't do a thing, as well as flashing a different RUU as long as you have goldcard. But since you don't have, just look for the correct RUU.
It seems like its hboot 98, just do the revolutionary ?
Sent from my HTC Desire S CoolDroid v6.0 via XDA Premium
Also a good solution. Just need to move to FASTBOOT screen.
Bluehawk, just go on with www.revolutionary.io , it will root and s-off the device. No need guide link, just open the web, and it will show you the guide, step by step, newb friendly. But remember to choose the right option, imei and sn.
By then, after complete revolutionary, be happy and fastboot flash any recovery image.
Kinda lucky situation, already hboot 98, easy to handle i think. Unless the device soft/hard bricked already.

Hye guys, first of all im amazed to see so many replies/solutions given by u guys.
Alright,i've do tried to s-off using revo but i couldn't get my device detected by revo, sigh.Tried many times but it still BLINKING ON WAITING FOR DEVICE.Tried on another pc,same result.I've installed all the driver and updated my device in device manager. On my phone,If enter vol-|power on hboot/connect usb/my device manager detects as ANDROID BOOTLOADER INTERFACE and when i entered fastboot it detects as MY HTC.I don't know where i'm doing it wrong.Or its some chip fkd up?
Now,i've installed adb/fastboot on my windows7 and adb seems not working but fastboot going good. Here's some info i've got while typing some commands:
Fastboot device - HTC14ctxxxxxx (simply typed it xx,security purpose?idk lol)
CIDNUM - HTC_621
Emmc should be Sandisk
Version-main 1.31.950.2
If possible i really wanted to S-off it so that i could flash custom recovery etc,not much hassle as official i guess. So yeah, revolutionary not detecting my device.Maybe i guess because the phone had not set to debugging etc or so prior it went dead?
So should i download a RUU and flash?which one should i go for with above cid?can i flash with fastboot command?which command should i use to locate a RUU?
Sorry guys,i'm new with android and htc.hope u guys could pardon my noobies.
Revolutionary might be running in ADB mode by default, and that's the reason it's not detecting your phone - you can't boot to the state when ADB is functional, ADB daemon starts running when the kernel is booted already. Since Revolutionary is an executable, it's not possible to manipulate it into starting directly in fastboot.
In that case, I guess, you're left with flashing the RUU.

My suggestion.
If you don't want to run into any problem try to make goldcard. It is easy. Use google search, and search for android gooldcard how to.
If you have a laptop, or cardreader it'll be a easy step.
Also before you run the RUU boot the device into fastboot. By volume down +poer button.
Don't worry.
I've messed my phone before and fix it without breaking it!
What you shouldn't do is pull out and rapid back in the battery while the phone stays at the white screen.
You can burn out the emmc chip that way.
[email protected] for the link buddy.I'll try it once i've prepared a goldcard, just incase.
[email protected] the midst of making a goldcard.Since i cant make goldcard on my phone,Tried readcid and goldcardhelper downloaded and plug my sd direct to laptop card reader but non working.I'll find someone who own an android phone and make golcard in their phone.
Appreciate you guys!Simply the best guiding forum!
UPDATE:
Got hold of a Samsung Galaxy SII,insert my 2gb unmount erase and did GoldCard Helper.I've got 2 CID as below:
mmc1:aaaa XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
mmc0:0001 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Which one should i use to create goldcard image?
Finally, the phone is up and running good!
I tried to make goldcard but not sure of the cid i should use to create image.
Went on to flash the RUU as per suggested by anaz and the phone came to life!I really appreciate everyone of you for the guide and advise.Thank you guys!

Can't S-OFF with Hboot 2.15...

Hi everyone,
I need your help because I can't S-OFF my HTC One S (s4) : Latest official ROM 3.16.401 (if I remember well), Bootloader unlocked, SuperCID and Hboot 2.15
I can't S-OFF with Facepalm, cause I have Hboot 2.15 right ?
And I can't either with Moonshine cause only compatible with :
3.14.531.11 (T-MOB)
3.16.666.9 (BM)
3.16.111.10 (TMO_DE)
3.16.661.4 (Telus)
So if I am SupedCID i must be able to flash any firmware above mine right ? Or do I need to match the CID anyway ?
In fact I didn't succeed in, at first with bootloader unlocked it said error in parsing android-info file (tried with 2 RUUs) then I tried with bootloader relocked and then it says "remote 12 : signature verify fail"
So...I am a little bit lost, what should I do ? Any idea ?
Thanks.
A bit off topic but still kinda related.
So i got my phone used, and when i got it, it was already bootloader unlocked and s-off. Now my question is, a lot of people are having trouble getting s-off on 2.15 hBoot, but that's what i have, along with TMOB010 CID.
I want to know how this device got s-off, and the thing is, in bootloader it doesn't even have **tampered** showing on there.
Anyone have any idea? I just want to know so that if i mess up the phone I'd know how to get it back to its previous state.

If you have SuperCID then yes you can flash RUU above yours. I did, but for me moonshine still didn't work but occasionally Facepalm did.

Tampered flag can be removed by tool revone.
This time I know just 2 methods how to do S-Off, moonshine and facepalm.
Can't think of one!
------> Noplait
Managed to S-Off mine with the following specs...
Baseband version : 1.12.50.05.05_10.28.50.08L
Software number : 3.16.61.10
Android version: 4.1.1
Hboot: 2.15.0000
Followed the instructions Exactly.
1. Bootloader unlock via HTCDev.
2. Steps 1,2&3 as found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427
3. SuperCID as found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26516911#post26516911
4. Bootloader unlock via HTCDev
(Out of curiosity did you go back to HTCDev and go through the unlock process again? As this is what I did (as per instructions)?).
5. Facepalm S-Off as found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155135
(Note: for instructions 5, I dragged the appropriate zip into the command prompt line from where I had downloaded zip file,
and for instruction 7 dragged the appropriate file from the folder into the first command prompt line only - adb push <locaction of this file only: soffbin3> /data/local/tmp/
Then copied and paste the remaining two commands one at a time, remember to press enter after each of the 3 commands)
Hope that helps.
Step 3 (changig CID) seems to cause trouble to users with base 3.16.401.8, including me.
It looks like mmcblk0p4 is write protected here, so the changing of the CID just does not work.
I also didn't find a working way around yet...
Hello! I need some help here.Probably not the right place, sorry about that!
My problem is that I'm s-on,and it's seems that I can't do the supercid witch is the first step for Facepalm process.
I red a lot about this topic, everything what I have found.
It appears that I got the hboot 2.15 version with Jb ota Update ,because of this the mmcblk0p4 file is write protected... so the cid overwrite is undone.
Tried on ViperOneS 1.2.1 - 2.2.0,on Tricktroid 7-9.1 and on Jb Stock also. The adb ,the termal emulaton on phone ,hex editing works well.
This is my hboot:

You can't get facepalm s-off, but you could get moonshine s-off
Go to moonshine.io and look for the supported RUU versions and install one that corresponds to your cid. Then you could install moonshine s-off.

I think u need to be S-Off, not sure if u can on hboot 2.22
Edit: try revone to s-off first then follow the instructions
You should flash your phone,i think
Revone attempt with S-On Unlocked Tampered
I believe I have the exact same issue, after trying to install TWRP and changing to CWM Touch. I tried to run Revone through ADB and the commands seemed to work but when I reboot I am still S-On and Tampered. I would love to hear if anyone get's this to work. Thanks.
Do what Everest said.
Mind you what I would do is get twrp onto phone make sure your bootloader is unlocked and then flash a zip with twrp and with zip on usb via otg.
Will Try

Thanks, i'll work on that first and then try Revone if needed. I've used recovery successfully on older models so I get that process. Newby question on the use of fastboot flash: I am seeing reference to use of the flash command which I understand - followed by going into recovery and installing the zip for the same file. If that is the correct 1-2 step for a rom fine, but where do I find (file location) the zip that I flashed in the first step? I'm sure it's easy, I can run with the basic pointers once I hear them. Thanks!!

TWRP install zip, sideload, rumrunner
Thank you for your patience! Maybe I should provide more details:
system info
m4_ul pvt ship s-on rl
hboot-2.22.0000
radio-1.25.40g.00.19
openDSP-v19.2.0268.0927
OS-3.10.502.3
eMMC-boot 1024MB

Installed TWRP 2.6.3.0 and runs, I notice on recovery boot shows E: unable to mount '/cache'
When trying to install rom.zip (which is JmzM4_stockrooted_deodex_att) I get this message:
checking for md5 file...
skipping md5 check: no md5 file found.
updating partition details...
E: unable to mount '/cache'
I tried ADB SIDELOAD before getting rumrunner, message is failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)'
Finally I attempted Rumrunner after checking ADB devices which does return (my serial number) recovery
Resulting message:
please wait.........................
ERROR: run rumrunner again and READ (no adb connection to device. Debugging on? Drivers?)
Even though ADB sees the device in terminal.. I'm not sure what to make of that.
It's probably something simple I missed like needing a new boot.img or creating a file or script.
That is where I don't have experience. Again thanks for your patience!! Learning.
Are you sure your bootloader is unlocked?
Looks like it's reading different partition.
Good luck.

Could it be a fake flag? I def had it unlocked, and believe I relocked it when I started having issues. Then I think I used revone to change the flag. I may as well jump into fastboot and reapply the htcdev token again. How can I tell if it is unlocked after?
Another note. I notice when I exit TWRP it tells me my device is not rooted and offers to install supersu...yet the next time I go in and exit again it says the same thing. The theme that seems to be building here for me is nothing is really able to be applied. Frustrating. I'll get that htc token flashed for now....It sure would be amazing if there was an RUU that I could actually apply. I haven't found one that works.
Unlocked
..By the way, if it helps, I have another exact same model. I just don't want to mess it up trying to get set up to do a backup, especially if the device I am working on won't flash anything anyway.
Anyone help
Can anyone give me an idea of where my main problem begins? As I mentioned, I am s-ON and can't seem to get past that. Since there is no full RUU downloan for this version, I can't just flash that. As it is now I can get adb, fastboot, and rebootRUU access, but no solution is working. I am certain the htcdev unlock worked, but every time I try to flash something I run into an error. I can see a file system if I go in as if I'm going to insall a zip in TWRP but am not sure if it works, the partition log keeps telling me E: unable to mount '/cache'. I also see a message Kernel does not have support for reading SELinux...which I imagine effects sideload options. What can I do? I appreciate any help.
