I have a moto fire xt350,i tried to intall a custom rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2076460 i done all the steps and the program on my pc told me "ok" it done few reboots my phone and ask PIN code...
but my phone doing reboot when i wrote my PIN and press "ok"...
When i turn on my phone it show motorola logo,then a google logo and after that ask PIN code i give the PIN and again reboot...
What i can do now?
plz HELP!!!

Ok, so here is the problem.
I forgot the PIN number for screen unlocking on my phone. So 1st thing i tried is to reset the code via Android Device Manager, but Google tells me that there is no need to reset the screen unlock password because it already exists , and it does not allow me to reset my password although i am in my account and i entered my email and password :silly:
Anyway, next thing i tried is to do something via Sony PC Companion, but the app does not register the phone because i can't unlock its screen(which is the essential problem). Next thing i tried is to enter the Guest account and try something that way. And i didn't success anything that way. Sony PC companion recognized the phone while its in Guest mode, but it does not allow me to do anything backup reset update, nothing, it asks for an Owner profile. I can use the file manager, but it only shows me files on the phone memory as shortcuts i can't access them or copy them.
I really ran out of ideas, and i searched a lot online and no success so i figured XDA must have some kind of solution for my headache, or i am doomed...
p.s i think the problem may be in the OS, because on KItKat something like this wouldnt happen but on Lolipop it does ...

Hello there everyone, i need some help to put Marshmallow on my Phone. I had tried to install it on a my phone which boot-loader is locked and i got a message saying
"System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help. "
I shut down the phone and booted my phone with volume down/home/power key and when its that download mode or something page. I hit continue and i was able to access my phone again. Since then, i cannot boot into recovery mode anymore, it gives me that "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone" message and i don't know what to do.
I want to get Marshmallow on my phone, with the ROM for he Samsung UI thing since i don't like plain android. (dunno if that possible, sorry if i sound stupid)
Can someone provide me baby steps to get it. Thanks you alot.

Hi there, I'd love to help but you did not specify what version of Android you were running prior to getting a bricked device. However a general method would by flashing the stock ROM of the phone via Odin(I'm assuming its a Samsung device). Search for "unlock bricked Samsung SCH-1535" using the search tool. As for the marshmallow UI, this can only be achieved if you've re rooted your device and unlocked your bootloader in other to be able to flash ROMs with marshmallow UI. Alternately you'll have to edit the build.prop file located in the /system folder in the root directory of the device in question. This procedure also will require a rooted device. I have a problem with this tablet. It was used several people in my company. Someone tried to do a recovery but now, there's a message "this device was reset. To continue, sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device". Nobody remember the account used.
I asked HP and they want me to pay nearly 400€ for that !!!
I think the USB debugging is OFF.
I can access the recovery mode by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP.
Options :
- reboot system now
- apply update from ADB
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- apply update from sdcard
I tried wipe data and wipe cache partition, but same problem.
Can anyone help me ?

Unfortunately it looks like the tablet has been locked by Google via the google account after a factory reset , account which has been set-up previously
I don`t think you have any option considering that the usb debugging has been not enabled so you can`t use any adb commands if there were any workarounds available
The recovery commands you have there doesn`t help on this matter
Basically the manufacturer is the one who can help you out
You can search on Google or youtube , the issue is called FRP bypass

If net search list for unlocking LG Stylo 5 is correct supposedly LG is offering this on their site.
If so, please post back because I did not buy the 4, and will not buy the 5 UNTIL the bootloader can be unlocked!!!

I have this phone as well and was hoping to perform the same action. I cannot get into fastboot to obtain the device id making the LG website useless. I've also messed around in the hidden menu to no avail. Have you made any progress?
any other methods of unlocking discovered?

im stuck
was it even locked?
this device was released too quickly, wasn't tested., and is a security nightmare out of the box. I bypassed the frp in 10 minutes using only whats already on the device.. (fingerprint lock there just for looks?)

I have been messing around with my metro stylo 5 I can't get into fastboot at all its like it just bypasses that mode and continues to normal boot even thru adb it skips over bootloader, been awhile since I had a LG but doesn't most if not all Lg phones I have had will boot to fastboot whether the BL has been unlocked or not, I may be wrong but I can't recall any lg doing this crap, but I must assume that nearly 8 months out of launch no one has been able to unlock and obtain root
Here are some instructions I think will help....
Be sure that your device has at least %50 charge life.
Power off your device and wait a few seconds.
Press and hold Volume Down + Power buttons together until recovery mode screen appears. (These button combinations can change on different modals.)
When you see the LG logo release the Power button, keep holding Volume Down and after 2 seconds hold down once more the Power button.
Leave all the buttons when Recovery Mode screen appears.

hello, I just unlocked mine, in many areas, I seen the options,...
1) under apps, top right, click 3 dots and click on Show system apps, then find unlock app, and turn on
2), go to about phone, under build number, tap it x7 times, and open developer options, and turn on unlock network
3), under your network provider app, there should be a option to unlock, or call them, some want 3 months, some want 6 months, of service, tracfone wants one year of service, but tell them you're leaving the country, and need it unlocked, they should do it, good luck
