How can I get the french language in the g900p - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
sorry to ask but is there in the stock 6.0.1 for the g900p sprint all the languages, because mine doesn't have "french" language.
if not , please, what should i do to have the french language in my device?. in the settings and all ...
i'll be grateful if anyone can help me

im running resurrection remix (6.0.1 version) and it has french in the available languages. It might just be the sprint one not having it available. Id root it, twrp it and throw a CM13 based ROM on it

there are many rooted deodexed ROMs that are TW based out there that likely have the additional language packs built in. You can even flash a ROM built for the G900F which should for sure have french in it

you can flash any snapdragon ROM on any snapdragon device for the S5 (barring some rare instances). The thing you CANT do is Odin a tarball for the G900F on to a G900P (well, you can, but youll brick it. and even if you brick it, you can usually flash the appropriate G900 tarball back on the phone and recover it) Its REALLY hard to hard brick an S5. If you have a G900P, go grab the OK4 tarball, TWRP 3.0.2 (dont get the 3.0.2-1 or 3.0.2-2, just the 3.0.2 the -1 and -2 are buggy) and the G900F ROM that you want flash the first two sequentially in Odin, then boot to recovery and do a factory reset/wipe (wipe 3x, trust me on the amnt of wipes) and flash your ROM. Boot. Wait the requisite 76 years for the first boot (probably about 15 min or so, and yes, your phone will get REALLY hot. I take the back cover off to help alleviate this), finally profit!!
---------- Post added at 04:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:49 PM ----------
something to note, dont flash the modem or baseband of another phones ROM either. Also, not a bad idea to have a few different tarballs on hand. sammobile.com/firmwares is the "official" place to get them, but idoneapps.com has a WAAAAAAAY faster server for them. http://idoneapps.com/forum/index.php?topic=8.0

Hello guys!
I like cm roms very much, but I can't flash any cm 11 rom because my phone is from china, Samsung have update your phone to 4.2.2,but not the devices in china. As you know,cm 11 won't work on 4.1.2. I fell very very sad about this:crying:.
I try to flash a different country Firmware(4.2.2) through odin3. but it did't work.I know your phone can do this.....:crying: I just want to know why? Is it because my phone's bootloader is locked?
Many friends of mine are also want to flash cm 11....but we can only use cm10.1......:crying:
Baseband:

Andriod vertion:

You should only flash "PDA" and not have the "Re-partition" option ticked. For flashing official firmware, follow the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428753
Also, flashing Note2 firmware on an S2 Plus is probably not a very good idea.
thanks

oh ,I‘m so sorry,I think my poor English makes you misunderstood, the screenshot isn't of mine...I mean my case is just similar to the picture,I'm sure I flashed a s2vep rom..I tried just flash PDA too...I think it is because my phone's bootloader is locked that what makes the failure..:crying:
I have tried many many methods according to the internet....someone said that I should use mobile odin pro app,but this app won't work in s2vep...I almost feel desperate about this ,I think it's time to buy a new phone...
PS:I can successfully flash an offical 4.1.2 rom...
It's impossible...download 4.2 official stock firmware...use the link given by AmoledIsBetter, follow steps, make sure u use the right firmware for ur phone (P version or no P version), and if something goes wrong come here with screenshots from ODIN. If all its OK u can flash CM11 easy...
Never heard of a locked bootloader on a S2 Plus.
Silly question maybe, but are you using the correct Samsung USB drivers for your PC? Did you flash CM 10.1 from the same PC previously?
Which 4.2.2 file are you trying to flash? I know that many have flashed I9105PXXUBNG1 from Germany.
Is your device genuine Samsung?
I think you are still factory locked. (Still locked to a carrier)
Something I read in a thread in past couple of days is that if it's a Chinese handset they can have their own drivers, so search for them, rest of the world drivers may only part work.

Flash a G930F Rom on a G930K SGS7?

Hello everybody,
I'm looking for the answer of my question but I still didn't find it. I live in Hong Kong and I bought a SGS7 from Korea, the model is SM-G930K. The phone is unlocked but there are bloatwares from the carrier and I can't remove the sound of the camera on this model.
That's why I was wondering if I could use an international rom like from the SM-G930F? I wanted to try but I'm afraid of bricking the phone. The SM-G930K from Korea is also a Exynios version, so I really hope I can flash it with an international rom.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I made a mistake! How move the topic to the questions and answers section?
G930K user here, too. Yes you can, but directly flashing G930F firmware through odin is not possible due to difference in partition sizes. Still, you can flash custom ROMs which can be installed through TWRP(e.g. Superman ROM).

But custom ROMs have to mention G930K or not? Or just a classic custom ROMs from G930F is ok?
I remember, a long time ago, may be before Android, I edited the ROM just with an hexadecimal app, and I could change the model and some stuff. We can't do something like this neither?

Just flash G930F ROMs, it doesn't matter whether G930K support is mentioned or not. No need to edit anything.

Isn't it what the re-partition option for?
Sorry to bump an old thread, but that't the clearest discussion I've found so far regarding flashing on the K variant.
I'm asking this for the S7E though (G935K > G935F) and everyone on the other forum says that it is just impossible to do anything on the K version ( which seems weird to me since the hardware is exactly the same and root/TWRP work fine).

I made a research during few weeks about that, and it's still not clear. I have also read that the modem is faster than the classic S7. But I have not found a loud and clear answer.
Until someone try to flash a G930F rom on a G930F phone, we won't know.

Hi. Apparently you cannot. If you want another rom, you have to install an alternative recovery, root your phone, and install a custom rom.
Anyone found clear answer?

Hi. No you cannot. Check my previous message, the only way is to install custom rom.
Those devices have same hardware. But the partition sizes are different. If you want to know, just flash custom recovery (TWRP) to your korean S7 and flash LineageOS or RR. Because all of them suggested our devices as well like this: (G930 F|W8|K|L|S). It will fail when you try to flash it by recovery. Because Galaxy S7's Korean variant's partition sizes are different from international and canadian S7s. There was one guide to flash AOSP ROMs to Korean S7's. There will be guide to resize of partitions on ROM's installation. But all commands are needs Linux Based OS, but not Android. I was tried it by Termux on my Galaxy S7. ext2simg command was still not available on Android's terminal . Others was available... so sad. And python codes are so simple to run. One day I will try it on Linux Based OS'd PC.

Not fine. But our devices have same hardware (F = W8 = K = L = S). Only the partition sizes are different. You just need to flash custom recovery (TWRP) then choose custom rom what you want for your S7. I'm suggesting SuperMan ROM and BatMan ROM. They are so stable, and clean. BatMan ROM was not fully stable on my G930K. Then I tried SuperMan ROM's clean, stock installation method on AROMA. It was really clean and Stable on my G930K. Try it bro :fingers-crossed: all of them TouchWiz interfaced. If you want try AOSP, you need to resize your partition sizes by this guide.

It should be up now. I missed an overlay so the 1st week's build failed. I fixed it for the next weekly.
It is not SlimKat however, it is Slim6 (Marshmallow, not KitKat)

Many thanks for this! I ve had the S4 for a while and although its rooted and running Android 5.0.1 (kernel 3.4.0) battery life sucks. Understand about it being Slim6 rather than Slimkat. Hoping that it will be a good daily driver with better battery life and a way to get rid of all of the Knox and Google garbage.
Again many thinks for the posting. On installation simply use recovery to flash it?

Yeah, Download ROM (and Gapps and SuperSU if you want them) and wipe /system, /data, and /cache and flash the ROM (+ gapps and supersu, if you want them)
EDIT: Wait, if you have a jflteatt and you're running 5.0.1 stock, your bootloader is probably too new to work on custom ROMs
javelinaddart
5.0.1 is not the stock ROM. I put this on after rooting and installing safestrap. According to CPU X the bootloader is I337UCUG0C3. Fingerprint is jflteuc/jflteatt:5.0.1/LRX22C/I337UCUGOC3:user/release.keys.
Think this will work?
Again many kind thanks for your help and advice.
Edit: Can this be done with Flash Fire. All I have is the stock recovery on the phone due to Safestrap and the bootloader. Also note I have used Flashfire to do both a Fastboot and full backup to the external SD card.

You can't flash custom roms. Sorry. Nothing I can do about this.
Some TW based custom roms may be possible through safestrap, but certainly not CM or Slim, or any source built ROM.
I337UCUAMDB
I337UCUAMDL
Are the only 2 supported bootloaders that are supported for jflteatt
Understood completely. Time for a new phone ! Many kind thanks for your interest and guidance.

In the past I downgraded my d850 to KK, rooted and upgraded to marshmallow, (courtesy of heyelton). But the latest modems available were the lollipop 20 series modems. Phone reception was horrible and prompted me to return to unrooted (AT&T garbage) stock. You have conquered it. Reception has improved slightly but I believe it would improve dramatically with the marshmallow 30 series modem.
Current baseband: MPSS.DI.2.0.1.C1.13-00058-M8974AAAAANPZM-1
Desired Baseband: MPSS.DI.2.0.1.C1.13-00114-M8974AAAAANPZM-1.43646.2 or something close.

Hit Like If You Liked My Work
Enjoy Folks !!
If you love your device dont flash any firmware on it, firmware stays on your phone even after fastboot back to stock MIUI rom. Only way to remove it is to flash stock rom in EDL mode. Trust me i installed firmware once it had bugs and too good i knew what to do. So if you love your device i repeat dont install any firmware doesent matter who told you . All custom roms should work without need to install firmware if developers ask you to flash firmware to your phone before their rom dont use their roms. Thank me later Cheers!

Nope. @Daks023 is right. These are developer firmwares meaning bugs are well received in them. I would consider before flashing.

Bull****!!! If you do not know what you are doing, do not do this. I flashed latest 7.8.30 beta MIUI9 and seems to be fine.
those are still 6.0 version?
