From Stable to Developer to Stable - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have H60 L12, stable android version number: B860 (emui 4.0.1). My phone isn't rooted.
I want to try developer version (6.11.16), but:
1. If this version would be unstable, how can I downgrade this back to stable?
2. Where can i get zip file of B860 stable version?
thanks

I'm not sure B860 has a full zip file. B820 does and you can OTA from that back to B860.

Here's one link http://www.hihonor.com/de/support/details/index.html?DOC_ID=90968 that's B820. For H60-L04
The only way I know how to leave developer preview is to flash stable version via fastboot. That's if your bootloader is unlocked.

latest firmware update - help

i've just got my opo back after a long time not using it because of broken screen.
i need to update it to MM rom and i want to know what is the most recent firmware available.\
i found a firmware zip from the 01/02/2016, is the a newer one?
Tnx ahead!
Here is the latest official Rom for the OPO.
https://cyngn.com/support
It is still Lollipop, there is no update to Marshmallow yet.
If you still want to have Marshmallow you have to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom.

Looking for Official Support [Mate 9 Lite - BLL-L23]

Hey, everyone,
I just bought a new Mate 9 Lite [BLL-L23] and would like some help with how to make it my own. I am familiar with other devices - but, not the BLL-L23.
I am very appreciative, my friends! Here's what I'd like to know:
1. Does anyone know when we'll get Android Oreo (or, at the least, Android Nougat)?
-- I am currently running 6.0; EMUI 4.1.
2. Is there an official support forum for the BLL-L23?
3. Does anyone know how to root the BLL-L23 using Magisk or Chainfire (which is better)?
4. Is there a recent TWRP recovery available?
5. What else should I do to take full advantage of my device?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING, EVERYONE!

I am currently downloading the latest full firmware, and I know it's not a problem to install it - but, when I check the Firmware Status, it says that the firmware is not approved for installation. Is there still a way to install it? What does this mean? Thank you very much, PalakMi ?

No problem
Mate 9 Lite is a rebranded H6x, OpenKirin's TWRP works fine. You can also use Firmware Finder for updating. Magisk works fine too. I think all Custom ROMs on this forum should work. I'm planning to flash RROS but I'm waiting for some bugfixes.
The only thing I suggest you is, if you want to update your Stock ROM, you MUST flash the right ROM for your device.

My friend, could you please provide a link? I'd be gratefully appreciative ? That TWRP will indeed work with the Mate 9 Lite [BLL-L23] to flash unauthorized software?

I see. may you tell me which firmware I should choose to downgrade to v4.4. Moreover, this step will delete everything or everything will stay as it is.
Thanks.

latest China Oreo build 536

Hi guys.
Does anyone know if with the latest Oreo beta the are problems in rooting after installing?
Or is it better to flash India build 510?
I'm asking because I heard about the "patch" released recently and most probably included in latest version.
Thanks. I need this info before updating from Nougat.
no problem. on latest honor 6x BLN-AL20 Firmware with 8.0.0.536 no problem. just use elemental rom thread recovery and latest magisk.
Thanks mate
Well, tried to download but files in mega seem disappeared. I sent a msg on telegram and on XDA to the developer ... No reply yet.
Which files? If you talking about Oreo files you can find them in Firmware Finder. Just search BLN-AL20
I was following the thread and telegram directions of elemental ROM because I see I have to download even a kernel.
Moreover I was looking for elemental ROM Itself which is not simply the Chinese version.
The ROM is buggy. Has several issues. Most prominent is it doesn't boot on start. No one has managed to get it to boot. KingOfMezi is working on it
Ah, ok.
