okay this is new for me.. never came across this before.. :S
my room mate just bought the galaxy note 10.1 and i downloaded the play store apk (cuz for some strange reason no gaps were installed )
but now everytime i open the play store it simply crashes and goes back to the launcher..
if it was my device i would probably be running a custom rom but since its not mine i cant do that..
Also the first boot wizard didnt ask for a google acc?? i mean whyyy??

Well, after having my P5100 (Samsung G. Tab 2, 10.1) with a stock rom, I've decided to change it for a Cyanogen stable rom, dated of 2013-09-23 19:17:17. Stock rom (4.2.2) was very slow, with lots of lag on it.
I have done everything as the "manual" says, and installed the above mentioned rom. It became more fluid, and more simple. Perfect.
But i am having here an issue, that I don't know how to solve it.
The thing is that I usually read newspapers on my Tab. This works as it follows:
1. we download an app of the newspaper,
2. every time we have a new edition we receive a notification by email, saying that the new issue is available for download;
3. we open the app and start downloading;
4. after downloading, it starts installing the newspaper (since it is a bit interactive and not just a .pdf)
Since I changed to Cyanogen, with the same 4.2.2 as I had on stock rom, when the newspapper installation comes to end, the app simply closes with error. From that moment, I can't even open the app since it simply will close again with error.
Any ideas how to solve this that doesn't require getting back to stock rom?

try wiping cache in cwm and also cache of newspaper app also

I've tried what you suggested, the error still happens.
I really don't know why it runs on Android 4.2.2 stock, and don't on Android 4.2.2 cyanogen.

yeah why not
some apps dont run in cyno rom where as they run without any problems in stock one
whatsapp is a common example of this bug it give problems in cyanogenmod roms sometimes
try older version of the newspaper app it may run

Hello, I'm unable to install Angry Birds Go on my Samsung Galaxy Young. initially tried rooting the device - didnt work. then installed custom Jellybean 4.2.2 rom - still not working. in fact, play store not even showing the availability on my device. downloaded the apk and tried installing from SD but still it says - app not installed. what is the problem and is it possible to install on my device.

My problem is one thing I installed asphalt 8 from the playstore but I had to wipe my data and I installed all my apps again but when it comes to asphalt 8 it just freezes at 49% I tried Custom roms , stock rom But nothing works NOT for asphalt 8 game but just to know why but I couldn't figure out so any advice ?!
Hi! I'm a new member of this forum, but i follow moto g section untill 2013.
Lastly i decided that i wanna update my moto g (xt 1032) to 4.4.4 variant, at the begining everything was alright, but when i install a few games and try to play it i have a system freeze for a few seconds. Then everything works fine but for a moment cuz I had again a freeze or frame drop. This scene last over and over again. The whole system works good and smooth. The problem only occurs when I wanna play a game. It doesn't matter which kind of game i wanna play (Asphalt 8, Benji Bananas, Follow the line etc.). In every game i have the same issue. I tried other 4.4.4 Roms (PA (Nightlies/Finaly), CM11 (Nightlies/Stable), PAC, Endorhix), kernels, configs, trying art and dalvik but without a result.
The funny thing is that i restore my moto g to 4.4.2 version and the problem simply vanished, also at lego rom 4.4.3 everything works fine.
So it seems that when i install 4.4.4 i have to do something wrong... I always wipe data, cache, dalvik and system via TWRP 2.7.10 recovery, every time install rom and if it is needed PA GApps.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong... Please help me! Currently I'm on CM 11 nightly and xperience 07 kernel where problem occurs too.

try enabling force 4x MSAA in developer options..
