Hi people. So I've unlocked and rooted my pixel(no twrp as yet) Now ever time the battery drops below 10 or 15% I get an error that unfortunately the UI had stopped.
Does anyone know what this issue could be and how to resolve it? I do remember reading something about exactly this when I was looking for rooting guides but I can't seem to find it anywhere now.
Help would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Found it in the XL form in case someone else is also having this issue

Hi everyone. Sorry in advance if I annoy any users with my lack of ROM troubleshooting experience.
So I purchased and applied the SIM unlock tool. I flashed the SPL, the Radio, and performed the security unlock and everything worked all peachy and happy-like. I do have to report a very nasty side-effect I've been experiencing since I applied the tools: My WM 6.1 OS gets very unstable at random times. It will run absolutely fast and fine for a bit, then it become absolutely unstable to the point where it does not power itself off via power button and I have to yank the battery. I just wanted to ask what may be causing this stability issue. I tried searching for a similar problem on this and other forums, but not much has come of it.
I have already hard-reset my OS back to all defaults and it still will act out this way. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do? I have tried looking around for the stock radio and SPL to see if restoring it back would fix the problem, but I am not 100% sure which one I should use. Any help would be really great.
Thanks everyone.
Hmm, thanks for the report.
I was thinking of trying the Sim unlocker but want to see what develops of this.
Did you try asking in the Sim unlock thread as well? I'm still busy catching up on the thread...
I fixed the problem. I followed the advice from the video on pocketnow.
I can't post link. I'm still listed as a "new user".
He ran the program, and then AFTERWARDS he downloaded the 2.23.00WU radio from the forum post here on xda.
I re-security locked the phone and changed the radio from the 2.23.00WU to 1.96.00WF. I looked around on google and found it - I'll post link if anyone needs me to find again. I'm not sure, but I believe that the 1.96.00 is the stock version.
Anyways, the stability issues went away completely. I am not sure if that version has the US GSM frequencies on it and I have not tried security unlocking the phone again (I'm just happy to have a working device at the moment). Just wanted to post about what happened.
EDIT: Still not sure if 1.96.00WF is stock but it is not unlocked. I will try the 1.96.10WU sprint version and see if that works ok.
best bet

Hey guys,
I tried searching for an answer but I can't seen to find one. Why is there close to zero development for this device? I read something about a new kernel coming soon but noone really went into detail..
I came from the HTC One M8 so my expectations were pretty high :crying:
Can someone clear this up for me?
Phone is newly released and not rootable with locked bootloader. Not even sure kernel sources have been released yet.

It's been out a couple of days; it's been rooted already but not in a way which lets you save the DRM stuff so you currently lose functionality forever if you do so. I'm sure it'll come with time.
Hi , im new here and really need some advice.
I purchased a Z3 this week and bought it second hand , even though it is new but without box. I found out it has the dreaded demo app installed because i think it was ex-display in a phone shop. Once i plug in the charge it deletes my photos, contacts, apps etc. and comes up with the demo video. Iv'e tried the codes people usually use and done something else using the computer someone suggested ,but nothing works. I was thinking about rooting the phone but after looking on forums i can't seem to find anything to explain how to root it or even if it's possible yet because its a new phone. Iv'e tried to delete the app it has but it just keeps coming back. So need to find someone way that is like rooting the phone to get access to delete it permanently. If anyone can help , would be much appreciated. Thanks:good:
So I went and bought the staples black friday jlab 7 pro tonight for 39.99. Its ok for the money no huge complants it does the basic stuff. So my question is can someone help me find rooting info for this tablet I have been searching and havent found anything usefull. I just really wanto to download the cracked google store like i had on my hisense sero 7 pro last year and to be able to mod games and remove apps that I wont use. Any info appreciated.
I also picked up this tablet from staples. I installed the latest google usb drivers and tried kingo. It detected it and was able to root it. The problem is now when I shutdown or restart it does a factory reset. I have been googling for potential fixes but so far no luck.
Got my son one of these was surprised not to find anything about rooting or Roms. If anybody cones across anything please share.
Hey did you ever find a fix for the factory restore every time it reboots deal? Just started my search, if I find anything, I'll report back here, thanks
Has anyone figured out the factory reset every reboot issue? I also rooted using KingoRoot and am having the same issue. Thanks!
Hello everyone.
So here's my problem, I'm used to play an online video game using my Samsung Galaxy S8+ hotspot because it's pretty stable and I get a good ping from it. This has been the case for months.
Somehow i noticed that after installing the Oreo update on my device I started getting a bad ping. I though maybe it's my ISP, so i tried my sim card on my friends phone and the ping was back to good. So clearly not an ISP problem. I tried factory resetting , running on safe mode and wiping both cache and data but still the same problem. All i can think of is that it's a firmware related problem.
I'd like to add to this that the problem didn't really occur right after after installing the Oreo update, it was still good for a few days. So not sure what changed ...
Now i'm thinking of downgrading back to Nougat but i'm a noobie and i've never done it before but I'm pretty good with these kind of stuff so there won't be a problem following a tutorial.
I just wanna know if it's safe and what's the knox thingy?
My device model is SM-G955FD.
Thank you so very much.
Anyone? please :/
I'm Inerested too. So many things aren't working for me with this oreo
Just download latest Nougat firmware from Sammobile.com or updato.com and flash it through odin. I did in past and it worked without any issue.
Okay update, I did downgrade my device to Nougat but the problem remains ... at this point i don't even know what could be the cause of this :/
Anybody got an idea please?
Man I sure hope somebody is able to find a solution, I'm literally having the exact same problem. And it seems to be only getting worse. My speedtests are showing pure degradation and my uploads speeds aren't even legally allowed to be mentioned in the same sentence with the word speed in it. Ugh, I fought myself so hard on whether or not to dunk the oreo, and I went against my better judgement. Hindsight truly is one of my least favorite things.
