[Feature Request] Bluetooth Audio Delay Enhancement - MX Player

Is there a way to make the Bluetooth Audio Delay setting a negative number. When I manually synchronize audio (in the car attached to bluetooth), I have to use negative numbers (e.g. -1.25 s). I would like to be able to set a similar value in the Bluetooth Audio Delay setting so this would be automatic when I connect in my car.
Thanks

For me it accepts negative values without any issue. But, I don't have a Bluetooth device to test.

Mine works fine, as I need to go -.50 for my POS Bluetooth audio in my car. I use BT headsets and earpieces, too, but I don't have any delays with them.

bluetooth microphone for pc

i've got most everything working over bluetooth
been able to make file transfers, import contacts and sms via bluetooth
but i set out on this project in hopes to have a working microphone for my pc using the phone and/or earbud/mic with oem htc adapter
i do not own a bluetooth headset and my pc is across the room...so figured this is worth a shot
first
my setup:
sprint touch pro on ppcgeeks clean bazzle rom (fairly recent build)
IVT Bluesoleil 6.4.249.0 (PC bt app)
HK-730 usb dongle (pc) (it is bt 2.0 +EDR and yes a2dp capable)
The IVT software seems to function and i am shown via right click the ability to mute advance audio, which is semi working (all i get is static).
The bluetooth sco audio microphone shows in my pc audio recording devices, but when unmuted by IVT all i get is clicks and static
It somewhat responds to my voice...i mean the sound meter grows somewhat correspondingly...
but nothing is coming through...besides strange click sounds and static.
i'm so close i can taste it...
my first thoughts were the sample rate and bitdepth
the pc speaker outputs are selectable...but nothing near the mic recording rate
i may be up the creek as my pc has an inferior realtek audio alc662.
My other thought was some kind of setting on the phone.
Hands free, stereo audio, & com connections are all selected in the bluetooth settings for the connection to my pc.
i figured it was worth a post on the forums for some possible solution
first I would read the info about how to get a normal bluetooth headset working as mic on a pc
http://www.google.com/search?source...set+as+mic+for+pc&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
could very easy just be
1. your pc's bluetooth stack don't support that bluetooth profile
2. your fuse don't support that bluetooth profiles

[Q] How to (can I) set default audio device for phone calls?

I built myself a Desire HD / Inspire 4G dock for my car, with USB (for power) and and 3.5mm jack (for audio through car stereo). My phone is also connected to my car via Bluetooth for phone calls.
When I initiate a call through the car, no problem.
When I receive and answer a call through the car's interface, no problem.
When I make a call through the phone interface however, it defaults to using the "headset" (even though it's just a standard audio cable...no mic), and I have to manually switch it to bluetooth every time. This is annoying for me, and especially for those I call when I forget to do this.
Is there any way to force the phone to default to bluetooth for calls?

App to Use Bluetooth Phone to play music (or audio)

Hello,
I have a car which supports only Bluetooth Phone option and this is the case of a lot of bluetooth car devices.
So I'm perfectly able to receive and send phone call but I cannot send music to the car speakers through Bluetooth (this is really due to bluetooth car device and not phone itself).
I'm wondering if it might be possible to emulate phone dialog in order to let the car thought it is receiving a phone communication and so play it.
Phone Music --> Phone call emulation in Bluetooth (caller voice normally transmitted is replaced by music played) ....> Car bluetooth phone call reception --> Speakers
It should be probably needed too to emulate car bluetooth receiver as a bluetooth sound player (in order to cheat android phone) .
Thanks to share your opinion / ideas.
Olivier
Music is usually routed to Media channel on the phone. Maybe avoiding that could be the solution. Figure out a way to route the audio to the Ringer for example. That might work.

CSIPSimple, Sipdroid background noise on Nexus 5

I've been trying to use CSIPSimple for Voip calling with the Nexus 5 so I can switch to the T-Mobile plan, but I've been having serious issues with background noise. All other events occurring in the background are very audible in voip calls in both CSIPSimple and Sipdroid, though the same problems aren't present in regular GSM calls.
Is anyone else having these problems? Is this an issue with 4.4 or just the Nexus 5 processor?

I've got CSipSimple working pretty well with the exception of a Bluetooth routing issue with my car handsfree.
In CSipSimple, go to Settings, press the Menu button and set Expert Mode.
Then in Settings, Media...set
Echo cancellation on,
Echo mode to WebRTC,
Noise reduction on,
Clock rate to 16khz.
Scroll to the bottom and select Audio troubleshooting then set
Use WebRTC implementation on,
Restart stream when change routing on,
Audio implementation to OpenSL-ES.
You can also try different settings for Audio mode for SIP calls. IN_CALL seems to work for me.

I figured it out. Enable "Mode audio API" (and no other additional audio troubleshooting items, other than the defaults) solved the problem (my phone was effectively using the speakerphone mic instead of the actual mic for calls)

You don't find the audio "tinny" with an 8khz clock rate?

Is that what Mode Audio API does? I'm only using 8 KHz codecs because that's all my provider supports.

The mode audio api is related to how the audio is routed.
The clock rate is also different than the codec's sample rate. The clock rate controls the audio device sample rate as opposed to the network sample rate. There's a separate setting for it in Media settings. It should be set higher than the codec sample rate.
It turned out Mode Audio API didn't actually solve the problem. It switched the mic from the normal one for calls to the speakerphone, but for whatever reason it was much better at processing out background noise that way...still need a fix.
Have you tried the internal sip client? If not, give it a shot and see if the results are any different. You can get to it by opening the stock dialer, then go to call settings and scroll all the way down.

How to use phone purely as remote control for speaker system over Bluetooth?

I have a Sony Soundbar connected to my TV. I can remote control the soundbar using the Music Center app.
The problem is this: the app only connects over Bluetooth, which means if I have to remote control the soundbar, my phone's audio also starts playing on the soundbar.
Is there a way to use the app over Bluetooth without playing my phone audio on the soundbar?

I am not familiar with that app, but I don't believe the fact that the Soundbar is controlled by Bluetooth also means it must play your phone audio at the same time... it COULD, but I would think the audio source is likely controlled through the Soundbar. Also, you can generally control what phone audio is output by Bluetooth in the phone main Bluetooth settings for the device (the Sondbar).

The app can control the soundbar only if it is connected to my phone over Bluetooth. Because it is a speaker, the audio output gets automatically changed from phone to the soundbar. If I disable the audio under Bluetooth settings, then the soundbar gets automatically disconnected.

Your Bluetooth seems to be doing two things, controlling the Soundbar through the app AND sending your phone audio to the Soundbar. I am not familiar with the app or the Sony Soundbar, but it seems to me that you should certainly be able to control the Soundbar by Bluetooth without Bluetooth also sending your phone audio to the Soundbar (unless you wanted that). I think there must be a setting somewhere for this, but maybe someone else is more familiar with your setup.
