AP and Baseband version - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
After restoring my phone using HCU client and unlocking it properly using the network code as well, the phone is not connecting to network. I tried two Indian providers, Airtel and Reliance Jio but none is picking up signal.
I suspect it to be because of the factory image that I flashed which was for AL10.
Now, I have debranded it to C636 and installed the stock firmware using DLOAD and it works fine except picking up the signals. Also if I go to the *#*#2846579#*#* menu and look for the info there, it changes the vendor and country location but the Kernel, AP and Bootloader version is still stuck at C900B320 (screen shot attached)which is AL10 I believe which might be causing the issue.
So anybody has any idea what can be done??

Tried it but did not work. The sim gets recognised but the network always shows undefined.

Did you lost ur imei code?

Yes I did and restored it using HCU and unlocked the network after that.

Sorry no idea what it could be.

Anybody has any idea what it could be. I have tried everything. Imei is correct, network and BL unlocked. But still network shows undefined.

Maybe try flashing the same firmware c636 that you have with fastboot(system, boot, cust, recovery)

Where to download European firmware?

Hello,
My Mate 9 is running C636B110 (Asia firmware) and I have just received BL unlock code.
After BL unlock (wipe), I would like to go for TWRP, Root & xposed too if available.
Where can I download latest full European firmware and can it be flash by fastboot or other methods?

I did but UK Virgin broadband Superhub cannot change DNS setting.
So I am asking any offline method.
Use a router between you and your ISP

Nothing! Use the in App buttons to find IMEI & Serial no. Somehow the auto detect Serial is different than Sys info.
The code works as Bootloader show red Unlock message instead now.

phone Huawei MATE 9 blocked

Hi,
I tried to root my phone and I succeded :
- Bootloader unlocked
- TWRP OK
- ROOT OK
But when I tried to install AMR64 ZIP GAPPS with TWRP, my phone doesn't boot no more...
I tried to install stock rom on DLOAD with all STOCK ROM :
MHA-L29C432B126 -
MHA-L29C900B125
MHA-L29C185B126
MHA-L29C636B136
MHA-L29C10B136
With VOLUME -and+ at boot, but INSTALL FAILED always...
I tried also to use eRecovery but I'm connect on wifi and that's don't work -> BLOCKED on step "GETTING INFORMATION PACKAGE"
I tried to flash stock recovery but it's the same...
when I reboot on recovery, even the wipe factory reset do 1 2 3 4 ----- 28 % and stop !
My Bootloader is unlocked, it's for that ?
Do you have IDEA to restore STOCK ROM or CUSTOM ROM WITH TWRP ?
MY PHONE IS DEAD :crying::crying::crying::crying:
Try FunkyHuawei. DLOAD on the Mate 9 only works with specific 'offline' images, I believe only a single one leaked so far. This device is virtually unbrickable with FunkyHuawei.

May I ask what even drove you to install TWRP?
Do you know what it does?
Why on earth would you need Google images??
Do you by any chance think you own a nexus/pixel?

It works. It's worked for many people in this situation. But you need to be able to follow the instructions carefully for eRecovery method and correctly set the DNS on your wifi router.

But only with eRecovery mode. Follow teh instructions step-by-step. You must be able to change your DNS-Sesstings on your router

Anyone have a stock EMUI 5.0 TWRP Backup for a Huawer GR5 2017 (BLL-L22)

Hi,
Is anyone willing to send me a TWRP of stock EMUI 5.0 on the Huawei GR5 2017 (BLL-L22) I can't seem to get back to stock, and the only way I can see myself getting back on stock will be with a TWRP backup. Anyone who'd be willing to do this for me would be much appreciated.

Here's the build number: BLLl-L22C636B370 .You send me two zips that ended at 370, and they didn't flash, ending in error 7. Only way I see this issue being fixed is via TWRP restoration from someone else's clean (BLL-L22C636B370) backup.
@Rommco05 figured it out. I needed to boot into fastboot and flash recovery, boot and then system image. Then I had to reboot into fastboot. After that I had to remove my micro sd card, extract the update.app from the B370 update, and copy it via a micro sd to usb adapter. I placed it back into the phone, and held power, volume up and down and the stock image flashed succesfully but rebooted into a grey screen, so I had to go into the stock recovery and wipe davlik cache and factory reset and then the device successfuly booted.
