Why not Sony Xperia XZ has pocket mode
which can make speaker loudly when there is a phone call
Pocket mode ? I never hear about it.... But it;s true when phone ringing it's littlebit quiet.
Other good in-pocket features would be automatic deactivation of Double Tap to Wake and not allowing the screen to come on for any reason.

I am looking for an app which will mute the ringer when you pick the phone up, (I don't mean answer the call).
So the phone is ringing, when I pick it up off the desk it will mute and I can decide what to do with the call.
I've searched and the nearest I can find is flip2silent.

press the volume rocker up or down?
So the ringtone will never sound when you are walking?

I considered that but it would need a fair amount of movement. Perhaps that why no such app exists.

I'm not exactly sure if this would work, but Screebl Pro 2.0 has new integration with Locale. Theoretically, you can trigger Locale to turn on mute when it senses that the phone is at a particular angle. This would cost quite a bit though, because Screebl Pro is like $2 and Locale is $10.
Hey guys, I'm new here and i was wondering if there is an app or a script that can automatically switch the phone's profile to vibrate while screen off and to silent when the screen is turned on. It would be really handy as i hate the phone vibrating while I'm playing games and texting as i already have headsup enabled so i switch it to silent and if i forget to switch back to vibrate, I miss a lot of calls when the phone is in my pocket .It's pretty tedious to keep switching profiles when I turn the screen on and off again
Any help will be appreciated
So I usually keep my phone on a table or such surfaces, which make a loud and irritating rattling sound whenever my phone vibrates.
I want to disable notification vibration (or all vibration for all I care), but in a way that my phone will play a notification sound.
If there's a ROM that allows this, an app which plays notification sounds on Do not disturb mode, or a native android setting I have missed, I'm glad to use any of those.
You can disable vibration in each app, also in setting you’ll disable vibration for call.

But there isn't that option in every app. If there was, I would have done that already. I' talking about every notification, not just WhatsApp.
Actually many apps have this feature (vibration off/on). I got your idea but the answer is NO, there's no option on toggle turn off all vibration.

I am in CM 13. It still vibrates even when vibration intensity is set to 0% . Just to confirm.

In a meeting kept getting IMs, and the watch beeped every time. It was distracting and I was annoying people in the room so I pulled down the settings and clicked on the speaker icon. The symbol is now the speaker with the line through it but the sound is not Disabled !!!!!!
What can I be doing wrong ? In some situations it is inappropriate for the watch to make sounds but I can not turn sound off.
hello,
never happen to me, I will investigate and if possible give you feedback.
regards

Not sure if you are new in android. Android has 3 volume for adjustment. You need to control them one by one. You mute the media volume, but you will still get sound from notification, or ring.
Check out more audio option in the option menu, not the quick slide down icons.

It also has One Setting to turn the Speaker On and Off. This is what did not work yesterday.
Turn the Speaker off at the meeting on again when it ends. Easy if it worked
Looks like the App "Feel the Wear" was causing this issue.
The developer updated the app and now turning the speaker off mutes notifications.
The proximity sensor is not positioned in the center and this make the display to turn on automatically if I move the phone slightly while I am on the call. The calling screen app is buggy, it will turn on the display automatically even if I press the power button to turn off the display while I am on the call. This issue still didn't get fixed in the latest update. I am so annoyed with the calling screen that I have to rely on earphones to make calls now. Any solution?

This issue didn't affect me, because I am using BT headset mostly.
