hi guys,
I have a verizon s6 6.0.1 g920vvrs4cpi2. My problem is that my phone will not charge past 69%. I already factory wiped it and also deleted the cache partition, still no success.
I have also tried to clean the usb port from dust and still no change.
What can I do next?
May be a bad battery. Take it in.

no more warranty on it so this is not an option.
Here are some updates on what I have done:
- factory reset a few times
- waited until the battery drained completely.
- charged from 0% and it stopped at 85% then used it some time.
- plugged it again and this time it stopped at 78%.
- next time it stopped at 74%. At this point I have connected to the USB port on the computer. It charged 3% more.
- re-flashed my fw with ODIN and then reset to factory.
- it charged to 75%.
soooo, whatever I do, I never succeed to charge it to 100%.
My last question now before I conclude it's a bad phone......maybe just my percentages are not showing the right thing? So this morning at 700am I have disconnected the phone from the bed charger (68%). I did my day with Mobile data turned ON non stop, some web browsing, taking photos, and other stuff and about 30 min of Candy Crush. Now it is 750pm and I have 1%. It sounds like a full battery ?

last night i slept for around 8 hours, before i slept, i had battery power at 65% left, i wake up in the morning to find 27% left! now i think that verrryy much for idle state as my wifi, edge, games, calling/texting and screen were completely turned off for many hours. i look up the battery stats and found that Android OS had consumed 51%. below is the screenshot.

somebody please tell me why is that? and how do i get more life out of my battery?
Maybe your phone only goes up to 9 hours...
Maybe it's kernel related.. Are you on custom rom already?
My Droid on a JB ROM has the Android OS consume about 90% of the battery and it dies after 8 hours of screen off time, airplane mode. *shrugs* if anyone has a solution id like to know.

This has probably to do with something that is running in the background.
your phone apparently doesnt go into "deep sleep mode" Only in this mode you lose just few % per night.
I recommand to shut off your phone, take out the battery for a few seconds, put it back in, charge it in one go, then turn it on again. See what happens.
You can, of course, sleep with the charger in.
Welcome to Android, for the most part, our battery life sort of sucks :/
My LG G3 has been working fine since the day I got the phone. Was also rooted on day one. I have done absolutely nothing to it besides rooting it. I woke up this morning and unplugged from the charger. After an hour of absolutely 0 use, the battery went down to 80%. It is now down to 35% after a few hours and the phone remains hot. Any suggestions as to what I could do to fix this? I have also posted a screenshot of betterbatterystats,
EDIT: I did go into WIFI settings and changed Keep WiFI on when screen is off to NO this morning. I have since changed it back to YES and the overheating problem has gone away. Anyone had this problem before?

How long have you had the phone? You may want to restore (unroot) and return the phone for a new one.
Hi,
I've recently bought a Sony Xperia ZR refurbished. It was really smooth and all, then suddenl it stopped working. It turned out it was the battery which was empty. I bought a new official sony battery, and the same thing happened to me, but I had the time to take those screens.
I've tried charging it offline, while turned on, with fast chargers, with a sony official charger... I don't know what I can do next!
Thanks in advance for every answer or piece of answer you can post.

A lot of people seem to have this problem and it seems to be the usb charging board that is faulty, some said that changing the charging board fixed the issue for them You should try wiping cache in recovery or even a factory reset before you opt for swapping the board.
Or go for an external charger.
But what about the temperature sensor that shows -30°C? Is it linked with the usb charging board or is it something else?*
And I can only find micro usb ports, not the entire charging board for my device... Do you think there is a way?
I've already done a factory reset before flashing a CM rom so it must not be in cache.
I have some new informations that might be helpful!
First, when I turn on the phone, it always starts at 6% then slowly grow until the real %. Is it then a hardware or a software issue?
Also, friday, I let the phone charging through saturday within offline mode. The battery was still to 20%. However, I charged it again sunday morning for 30-40mn and it was filled to 60%! (the higher % I ever get)
I don't know if it can help...
My phone keeps turning on the display to show me the "Charge Completed - Please unplug the charger" notification. It's really quite annoying and I don't need to see it at all - I charge my phone overnight! Is there any way to disable this unnecessary message (without disabling ALL notifications)?
Note that I am not talking about the sound - I keep the sound of the phone off at night anyway. I want to stop the "charge completed" notification entirely so it stops turning on my display while it's on the charger (I am using a Qi Wireless adapter).

Seriously? I could also smash it with a hammer. That doesn't answer the question.
On a side note, how long does it take you to get the phone to 100% from what %? I went to bed on 12% about 8 hrs later still only at 60% using the charger it came with.

Mine is always 100% but it sits on the charger for at least 12 hours. Some days I barely use it and it's sitting on the charger all day. Often the only reason I take it off the charger is because of that stupid message! I leave my Nexus 6 plugged in all the time - no stupid message on that one.
Guys, my phone it's shutting Down at 20-25%, I'm using Rr 8.1.0 buts is not that random reboot problem
It's just 20% and shutdown, and when I plug the charger just show the percentage it was when turned off. What this could be?

i'm afraid to buy new battery and the problem is on the motherboard and not on the battery. i had a S4 with the same problem and i change the battery but the problem persist.
Well looks like is a "common" problem with Oreo. Also mine and gives some bad percentage readings. If I charge to 100%, then reboot to recovery, the battery percents changes to 94 - 96%, reboot to system and this numbers persist.
If I let the phone all day and at night I reboot to recovery again, I lose like 20% of battery, example: Android says that my battery is at 60% but in recovery says 40% and when the system start the battery reduce to 40%.
Also have some random "turn off" and then, when I power on I lose around 5 - 10% of battery.
And in resume, the using time of battery life is 1 hour max.
This doesn't happen in Nougat.
