Rooted my phone and currently have TWRP works great, BUT I have started getting that "insufficient memory" warning. I checked my memory, and have 4.00 GB out of 16.0. Check my files and noticed that TWRP is 6.20 GB. I tried moving it to my SD card but it did not work..
HELP..I donot want to unroot my phone
Thanks

It sounds to me that TWRP is taking up 6.2GB of your internal memory, leaving 4GB free space, and when you try to do another backup you get the "insufficient memory" warning. Since you cant move it to your external SD card, I would try connecting the phone to the computer and transferring it over to the computer via MTP. After you copy it over, you could just delete the TWRP folder on your internal memory and it should work fine for more backups. I've always struggled with making TWRP backups because I've never bothered to get a bigger external SD card. I've always had to shuffle things around between my PC & the phone's memory to make things fit.
Twrp
So TWRP will effectivly stay on my pc, and if I need it, I can transfer it back to my phone..Do I erase it from my phone.
Thanks for your help

Hi guys. Fresh blood here. I recently got into Android world and I'm slightly confused. I have read many threads in here but I still managed to mess up my phone.
I rooted it using UnlockRoot. Then I tried to "swap" my external 16GB SD (sandisk Ultra) for my internal 2,5GB and absolutely killed my phone.
First of all, It can't read neither "Internal Memory (2,5GB)" nor "External SD (16GB)". And I get some errors on booting and when I connect to usb It just can't be read by my computer.
Any idea? Am I doomed to use my phone as a simple 20$ nokia with 700mb memory?
I desperately need to read some news from you.

First of all editing vold.fstab is pretty straight forward. I don't know why you went for replacing the edited vold.fstab. Its just a matter of interchanging 'sdcard' and 'externalcard' text.
For the apps not working, did you try clear cache, data, force stop and then restart ? It may solve the issue.
For Camera did you try changing data storage option ?

Sorry for lat respones,
I try to edit vold.fstab by replacing ext.sd with sd and whne phone booted external card changed to internal 8gb but internal disapired and i couldn't execs it. So i restored originial vold.fstab and after boot both mem disapired, not seen in phone explorer or pc, just clw can see ext.sd and internal so i reflashed cm10 and all is back to normal.
In cm10 i dont have option in camera menu sd/intermal or external default is internal, so i manuel copy pics to external and galery works normal-see all pics.

Did you just replace external SD card with SD card ? If that is the case, it would definitely cause issue... In fact you should have swapped Ext SD and SD in vold.fstab, not just replace the ext SD with SD. Hope I could see what's there in your vold.fstab file.
Hi, I flashed CM7 with nAa kernel on the X10 mini pro and MiniCM7 with nAa on X8 and both work great, excepting the fact that they can't boot without an external SD card inserted (it may be even empty, it just needs to be there). Is it normal? Does it have something to do with the fact that there's no "internal SD" memory (unlike in newer devices), so it actually mounts the external card as /sdcard and requires it to run? Both had stock Android 2.1 before, though CM7 is based on 2.3.7, so - to my knowledge - it still wasn't the times when internal memory was being mounted as /sdcard. Or maybe it has something to do with Titanium Backup? When I try to boot up the phone without the SD card, it illuminates the screen, but it's just black and no logo shows up.
Probably the question is a "noob" one and answer is obvious, but I honestly can't find it!
Can I bump a thread?
I bought my daughter a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3113) for Christmas 2012. If I recall, this was the 8GB model and there were two partitions. It has been running the stock OS, no custom ROMS. I cannot recall if I have ever installed any system updates. A few months ago, the internal SD partition just disappeared. I "fixed" this by installing a 16 GB SD card and redirecting as many of the apps as I could to save to the external SD. The tablet has been running terribly lately (lagging, locking up) so I decided to see if a factory restore would fix both problems. I don't know yet if it fixed the sluggishness, but the storage capacity is showing the same thing, total capacity of 4.59 GB.
Where did that partition go? Can I get it back safely? If I can get it back, can I trust it? She is only 8, so it's not like she is using this for critical data. If I have to, I will just stick to the existing fix, using the external SD card for storage until it is time to upgrade in a year or so.
Thanks,
Paul
Ok, so I installed all of the updates after doing a factory restore, and now the capacity is showing the full 8 GB. Now I am not 100% sure if there were two partitions to start with or not. I know that we also had an issue with her original SD card, so maybe that is what i am thinking of.
Anyway...it appears to be fixed for now.
