Have you tried the Google Home app?

Yes, but z3 is miracast compatible along with other wireless features. I know Honor is more strict in that matter. For example, it's a pain to cast to Samsung TV. Some times it works, others don't. YouTube cast is straightforward.

In that case, I'd advise getting in contact Netflix and seeing what they think

What happened when you plugged in the hdmi cable? just black screen or errors? try again, let the video playing then plug in the cable.

No error message, but I am suppose to see the start screen with the apps and all on the TV, which I dont. also I made the Tv search for any plugged in devices, it found non.
Are there not any apps that might resolve the issue?

Ok, your tablet should displayed the hdmi icon in the notification when you plugged in. Tell me about "tinkering with my emulator roms", can you uninstall this or possible restore back to the previous version before you installed the emulator rom? If you can't the only thing that you can do is clear cache/dalvik cache then reflash your rom. I assumed that there is no way you can verify that your hdmi cable is good or not and your TV is set to the correct video source.
Sv: [Q] micro hdmi cable
I think the cable is fine since an icon shows that a cable is in the hdmi port, and the tv must be fine since I can run my wiiu. The only thing I did was adding and removing roms in the rom folder since I couldnt get the ps1 roms to work.
I also figured that would be my only option, thx for the help

Watching same thing on phone and pc

I want to do something probably simple but don't know how... Let's say I have a video file on my windows computer. Is it possible to watch it the same time on my phone while it plays on the pc? If yes is there a guide of how to do so? Of course both are connected to the same wifi network.

You want to mirror the screen? You could use an app like TeamViewer or Logmein. Those will allow you to view your PC screen from your phone.
No no no... I want the pc to play a video file on any player and at the same time stream that video file to my Android tablet.

Use Splashtop. If your network is good enough you can even stream and play games.
Like Teamviewer, this has the added benefit of being able to completely control your PC from your phone.

Android tablet with no wifi or bluetooth

What would be the easiest way to achieve this? Is there an Android tablet I can buy that has no wireless hardware? If not is there one where it's easy to remove or otherwise destroy/disable the hardware?
If not, what is the best way to securely disable all wifi and bluetooth connectivity?
Wtf why you dont want wifi and BT ??

You're reading the wrong thing, their reply to you is above the box showing the post that they quoted. The part underneath that mentions Tapatalk is the signature that shows below the posts that they make using the Tapatalk app, this part us not what they were trying to say to you. Their actual reply to you was the part above the quoted box, the part asking you why you don't want Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

What does why I need it have to do with what the solution is?
Because I need it for an application that doesn't require any wireless connectivity and any wireless access is a security liability. The alliterative is building something with a rasberry pi without a wireless chip but it would be much easier and faster if it was possible to just buy a tablet off the shelf, because my application does require a high resolution camera and a small lightweight form factor (i.e. hand held and battery powered).
Tablet Without Wifi
I only know about this tablet which is without wifi Hipo OEM ODM Android Tablet PC without Camera wifi OS SIM Call

There are none that can do this out of the box, the only way you're gonna do this with a tablet is to modify the software to completely remove network connective functionality, or manually turn off the radio each time before using the app. Otherwise, figure something else out.

Any recommendations on the easiest way to modify the software?
Are there any specific tablets where it's easy to remove the hardware?
Thanks.
