Until I don't see Eagle listed here as Updated to L, or here with a incremental update like 18.3.2.X.Y.Z, or in official Sony's blog, I won't trust anyone

I'm giving up on hope xD. Don't think we're going to get Lollipop at all xD. Recently, T2 Ultra and C3 has new update rolling out which is bug fixes, but, still no confirmation for us at all.
Fly high, Lollipop.
Its not gonna happen Sony aer dragging it out as long as possible for a reason. I read somewhere that some regions the Z might not be updated till Aug. If that's the case is not gonna happen as that's more or less 18mths from launch for M2

What about C3 Lollipop rom crossflash?
I just got my Z3 back from repair and it has 23.4.a.0.546 on it. Now I want to flash the latest FTF(I know where to find this).
1- What is the latest version?
2- Which FTF should I download so when a new update arrives from Sony/Google it will arrive at this this version first Is is the Generic one, or the German or like in the old days with the X10, the Nordic one?
Of course, I want the unbranded.
Is it the 23.0.A.2.93 Unbranded Generic Global?
Thanks!

Please don't reply if that is all you can say. Very disturbing and annoying if I receive a notification that someone has replied and when I visit my topic, this is wat I read "Beats me"......
Hope you understand. Thanks!

Xperia Z5 never came with KitKat, shipped with 5.0 Lollipop
I know, so is that a problem?

Z1/2/3 Yes but why would you need KK? The latest build of .224/.253 is quite stable in my experiences and enough to replace KK. And Z3 won't receive android 7.0.
Is there a way to apply the latest security patches to older Android versions, such as Kitkat?
I'm 99,99% there isn't any way to do that. KitKat is history, it's sad but true. KitKat was the best OS for the Nexus 5, but we have to let it go. Nougat already looks pretty good.

Man, do not contribute if you haven't got some knowledge
Yes, it's possible that you want but I haven't got time for work on it
For example, there are a developer that works on a cm11 rom with last security patches in Nexus 4 forum

My bad, sorry.
I'd love to see up-to-date KitKat too ))
It is very possible to get the latest security patches merged into 4.4.4 Kitkat. That is exactly what a dev did for an older Samsung phone that isn't capable of running 5.0 and later. My question to you is - what is the point of running 4.4.4 instead of 6.0.1 or even 7.0? I flashed back to Kitkat and tried it out, and I could notice no difference in performance and battery life in my day to day use. What I did notice was a lack of functionality that I was used to (such as denying permissions). I quickly switched back to a 7.0 build off of XDA.
Hey, look what I've found, it's CM11 with latest security patches https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=64080

Hello, I wanted to know if someone already received the Android 10 update of this device or if you know any approximate date of release. Thanks in advance
Dopiero kilka dni temu udostępnili aktualizacje z listopadowymi poprawkami. Tempo nie powala. Ale podejrzewam że w lutym dostaniemy 10.

Please use english as it´s the required language on XDA. You can use your native language too but the post has to be also in english, google translate is enough.
About your question: Lenovo/Motorola never predict ETA of new OS versions so it´s coming when it´s coming. I don´t think February is a probable date, it will last longer imho.

I'm a contributor but no maintainer, I don't maintain any ROMs or firmwares (until now).
You can see the title right under my nickname.

Once Motorola was one of the fastest maintainers for OS updates (when they we're owned by Google, no wonder). Nowadays (since under the roof of Lenovo) they are slow in releasing updates even security patches. They don't announce anything, it's coming when it's coming.
It's a shame that the Moto G8 power ships with android 10 and the 8+ only with Pie. I consider to buy a 8+ but the development here seems to be very low, just one unofficial TWRP appeared 2 days ago so I'm about to buy another device which is in active development like the Xiaomi Mi9 T.

Motorola may surprise you with the worst support and slim updates. They will always have a **** about you.

They have released this update today. Still nothing about android 10, Motorola is really letting me down
Is very sad that G7 plus rolling android 10 and G8 plus nothing
There is a new Security Update, which I'm installing right now.
Maybe that means they still try to provide support to the G8 Plus as long as they work on the Android 10 version at least I hope so

We apologize for the confusion. The Moto G8 Plus is still going to receive Android 10.
Best regards,

No and yes. No there are no updates released, all sources that say Android 10 was released in Brazil and Spain are false for the moment. Yes there is a guy with a soak test, but that is confidential.
