Flash sprint radios on verizon note edge (Activate fm radio) - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I was thinking, since the Verizon note edge and Sprint note edge are basically the same phone in terms of hardware and the sprint variant is the only one that has the FM radio chip activated (I guess it is activated by firmware).
It would be interesting to see if some dev can make it possible to flash the radios of the sprint version on the Verizon version.. Maybe that could activate the FM radio on the Verizon. I know doing it would probably cause issues connecting to the Verizon network or getting 3g/4g.. but it would be a fun experiment. I tried it myself extracting the tar of the official marshmallow rom for the Verizon variant and replacing the radios for the Sprint radios and then creating the tar again, but it failed when trying to flash the radios.. I guess Odin does some sort of verification of each file being flashed..

Unlocked Sprint Note 5 new firmware help

Ok, so my question ha a few points here. I have been flashing roms for many years but never really though of this until recently as I now have an unlocked phone.
1. As my Sprint Note 5 is unlocked, can I flash say the Unlocked Version of software to the phone taking away carrier branding? I manage a store from another carrier and I hate that when I boot my phone it shows Sprint. I know it will not trip knox as long as it is Official Stock software.
2. If I do flash said Unlocked version software replacing Sprint software, will it change my connection at all? I have seen that flashing ATT software on a Verizon device did manage to improve ATT tower connection however I wonder if this is maybe a placebo effect as opposed to actually changing the bands and connections the device makes.
If you guys could help me out that would be great. :good:
Cheers
There is no unbranded firmware for the Sprint model because well, it is a exclusive model so even if you flash XAS instead of SPR firmware some or all apps will still appear. The only way to get rid of everything Sprint is via custom ROM= tripped KNOX. The SM-N920P cannot run another firmware.

Flashing Sprint S7 SM-G935P to SM-G935U

Hello,
I am going to attempt to Flash my Sprint S7 Edge with current Firmware version G935PVPS8CRK1 to the Unlocked firmware of G935UUES8CRK1 as I have ported out of Sprint and need to enable all LTE bands for a different network now.
My questions are
Can this be done for the above firmware versions and will it enable all LTE bands if successful ?
In the SAMMOBILE page, there are different variants for the SMG935U including one for Sprint. I was assuming that all 935U variants would be identical, but I guess I'm mistaken. So, should I download the Sprint version of SMG835U or something else ?

Never mind, I was able to flash the G935UUES8CRK1 firmware. Also, in Odin I tried with the HOME CSC. Although Odin showed a successful status, my device went into a dm verity boot loop. Then I had to flash it again with the regular CSC file and it worked.
I'm about to do the same thing, were you able to use LTE and VOLTE? Or access other bands that didn't work while on the sprint firmware? Right now i have the sm-g935p and am using it with t-mobile. I can only get 3g speed and have voice working or LTE with no voice.
Yeah, LTE was working. Band 40 which was otherwise disabled in the Sprint firmware was open and LTE Discovery app confirmed it. Not sure about VoLTE.

Yes. The bootloader was updated a few months ago. There is a thread here with files and instructions.

Flashing Unlocked or AT&T firmware on unlocked Sprint S7?

Hello, I'm selling my old Galaxy S7 to a friend of mine and he plans on using Straight Talk or any GSM compatible pre-paid network. Using Straight Talk on an unlocked Galaxy S7 wasn't the best experience for me since I'd have issues reconnecting to cellular data and reliability was shaky compared to non-Sprint branded phones.
Someone suggested to flash either AT&T or unlocked firmware on my S7, but I'm not sure if it's safe to do. If so, what it is the most stable firmware?
EDIT: I tried flashing the unlocked firmware and Odin failed. Using v3.13. also got a rev check fail: fused 8 > binary 4
EDIT 2: Downloaded a newer version of the unlocked firmware, was able to flash successfully

G930W8 on T-mobile, and did I get lucky?

I just bought a used S7. I was told it was the Sprint version, but when I checked it it turned out to be a Rogers 930W8 with an Exynos 8890 which is a little faster than the S820 in my other phone.
Did I actually get lucky with this version or would the Sprint be better?
I would like to have it fully functional on Tmobile including all bands such as LTE band 12 and VoLTE and Wifi calling.
With Sprint the plan was to flash the stock Tmobile firmware.
Is that still an option with with the Exynox?
Do I even need full firmware and would flashing just CSC files to get me VoLTE and wifi calling.
Also, is the bootloader unlocked on all Exynos phones, and if so, is there an even better option than Tmobile firmware to give me everything I want?
Thanks
Flashing T-Mobile firmware won't be possible because it's developed the snapdragon SoC specifically, you'd brick the phone trying to flash it onto exynos, assuming Odin would even let you flash it at all.
Same goes for the CSC, you will need it for VoLTE and VoWIFI but you'd brick it trying to flash via Odin. Your best bet would probably be flashing TWRP and flashing the CSC zip if it's still being updated.

[Galaxy s8 Active]Flashing AT&T Firmware to unlocked tmobile device

Have an unlocked tmobile s8 active I'm using on the AT&T network that I'd like to be able to use wifi calling on cause i get lousy cell reception at my place, is it possible to flash the AT&T fireware onto the device? ive already tried using odin and the stock AT&T 8.0 android oreo firmware i found in a different thread but it fails.
