According to their Sunday Newspaper add.

That would be the 11th. Why does that sound familiar? I think I kept hearing the 11th in the UK and the 18th in the US. Something like that.
If that's true, I hope I get my pre-order by the 9th or 10th.

Too bad, kids took all my money for Christmas and birthdays or I would of out right get one through best buy. Nice to see someone local on here. Gonna wait for tmobile, hopefully they start pre-order soon.

Luckily I don't care about the 4G version, Doesn't look like Sprint is going to carry it.
Had mobile data with my Gear S but ended up cancelling it. Never used it. Was just throwing away $10.

Yeah i really can't front the $400 cause of said holidays and b-days, but I want a smartwatch so I will take the hit and consider it an interest payment. I may cancel it later if I can tho.
At least for tmobile I think I read somewhere that it was only $5/mo, if thats the case then no biggie since i have returned the note 7 thus saving me $32.50/mo and just sticking with my note 4. I also have a second s7e not being used (for backup) that i may swap too later for samsung pay.

Was out and about this morning, so I stopped by Best Buy.
Just as I thought, no go. Said the Samsung rep told them that there were very limited supplies and that this store didn't get any. Hmmm... They couldn't find ANY stores that did. They were just feeding me BS because they screwed up their ad.
My guess is next Friday just like Samsung has been saying all along. Hopefully pre-orders ship a day or two ahead of that.
They did offer to let me pre-order it though... Already did that long ago.

I was just told they were expecting it very, very soon. In a matter of days.
I don't believe we will see it until the week of the 24th as well. No stores have gotten any preliminary info and that is a pretty telling sign right there.
I wonder if the Fuze will be a part of any black friday deals. I would doubt it if just released that week. I would like to see it more in the $250 range because I don't think it is worth $350 and waiting 10 weeks for the 50 rebate, but I will probably ending up spending it anyway and dumping the Tilt on Ebay.
well given how they are releasing phones the epix came out like two weeks or a week ago bold came out today so i give the fuze another week or two it's definately coming out in november though

I just called a local store in Indy and was told "We don't know when it'll be in. It's been delayed I think. I'm the manager and I would know!"
If he's the manager and "would know," he should be able to tell me and not just "think."
A little different answer
Not really important but... I called a major store in Denver. Lady has known of it some time as her job is dealing with new releases. She said that they were supposed to have displays up already but the materials are not in so they are behind schedule. She expects it any day. Also a sales person is getting trained on it tomorrow and hopes to know more then. Only significant thing is that they knew of it and were supposed to have displays up by now.

Employees in Huntington Beach, CA store said next week.
I still say it has to be sooner than 11/25 because that is when the ATT rebate ends. And why would they include the Fuze in it if the phone isn't even going to be released by then. So I say it can't be Black Friday (11/28).
I was told next week... though previously told today... as far as black Friday and not wanting to discount it, well... they're in control... they can release it tomorrow and that doesn't mean they have to discount it. So, I don't see any reason they'd have to wait until then.

Preorder Captivate

Does anyone know if AT&T is going to allow you to preorder this phone? I really want to be guaranteed one on Sunday!
I was wondering the same thing. I was also wondering if other merchants like Best Buy would carry the phone on launch day.
I'm just gonna be there at 11am when the store opens on Sunday. I went and asked about it a couple days ago at the local ATT store and they had no idea they were even going to carry it. Kind of dissapointing really, but that just means they haven't been hyping the phone, and I'll be able to get one for sure
An AT&T customer service rep said "no" to pre-ordering. I'll just order it online on Sunday. Why risk having to pay a store's re-stocking fee in the event you want to return / exchange it? Not being negative - just realistic.
It will available. Its not a Iphone. Only tech savvy people like us will be interested in these type of phones. No pre order necessary. I don't understand how and why people are willing to stand in a line for hours for crap like that.

I called 4 BestBuy stores around me and none of them know if they will have it Sunday. Most of them said to call back later to see if they came in on their truck this week. Doesn't surprise me AT&T stores don't know about it. The one by me, I told them they had the Aria, but they didn't believe me until another guy came out of the back room with one and said "Is this what you were talking about?" wtf?

I've chatted with AT&T reps online who, when asked about the Captivate, had no idea what I was talking about. And this is a product that's 5 days away. Let's cut to the chase. My experience has shown that - generally speaking - we know a lot more about their product line than they do. It would be a good thing if their employees shared our passion.

I went to an ATT store near me today and the lady there said that they had gotten their demo but not the shipment. She said that she didn't normally get excited by phones, but this one she was pumped about. She had to check with someone else to confirm the Sunday date, though I knew about that, and she said that they didn't really know the price off contract. She also said they usually get their shipments on Wed or Thurs with the info about the phone that they need to know.

I went to my local corporate store today and they wouldn't show me their demo and said they had no stock to sell. I went out to my car and called the next closest store and they told me the same thing!
I explained at the first store how a few people online had seen them in the store and even a few had purchased units and she told me if they had stock they would probably sell it but they had no stock and were HOPING they had a few for Sunday.

I wouldn't put up with it if I were in upper-level management at AT&T. Either you give a damn or get out. The store managers should be ashamed that some of their employees are uninformed and, worse, uncaring. And the district managers should be ashamed...and so on. If we have to educate them about their product line then we should be receiving a portion of their salaries. During a chat session today with a CSR at AT&T I sent him the link about the upcoming release of the Captivate.
There are no excuses.
AT&T is making a huge mistake by not hyping this phone. They obviously don't know how great of a product they have and to be the first in the US to release it! I had a chat session with a CSR today also and the guy pretty much said "Check out att.com/android for any news about this phone." Like everyone else said, we seem to know more about the phone than AT&T itself.

Haven't we known the off-contract price for a week or so now? Maybe I just dreamed it, who knows
I had to ask around at three stores before I found one where they even knew that the Captivate was coming out (the first two had no clue when it was coming out, if AT&T was even sending them any, or when). At the third store though, the guy was awesome and let me sign up to be notified as soon as they get it sometime next week (hoping for Sunday or Monday), and he said he'd put one aside for me.
I do hope Wirefly/Amazon puts the Captivate for sale online for under $200, like how they're selling the Aria for free with a contract, but I'll get it in store if not.

Question Re: Radioshack Pre-Orders

There was a rumor going around the Radioshack might be giving the inspires out early - can anyone confirm a case of this? I had called two stores and they both said no, however if someone can confirm a positive on this - I will keep calling!
The stores were given strict instructions not to. Plus many of them have likely not received their stock yet.

Thanks, this is what I thought. When I reserved mine the guy said that the system won't even allow them to sell them until Sunday... but then again on various message boards there were people saying the Radioshack sales rep that they pre-ordered their phone with said they would call them if they got them early. If the sales reps are unsure of information, they should just not say anything.

Well, maybe a little higher than McD's employee... but I haven't been inside McD's in about 12 years.
My Radioshack guy was way to "YEAH BRO, TOttalLy bro! Sick Phone Bro!!" for my taste. I'm not really a personable shopper... I kinda want to get in, take care of business and get out while in a store.
I actually just came from a radioshack after calling the store and she told me I could buy one...I was like are u sure?? She said yeah ..come over...I rushed over there to talk to her, she went back to get it and give it to me and her manager saw her...and said no! What a **** lol...anyways she atleast opened the box and let me play with it for awhile...thing is sexy! Feels so solid..camera is awesome ...and btw everyone *****ing about the battery cover being tough to come off is either a like girl or a retard...got it off in no time...can't wait till Sunday now! man I was just in radio shack today and they wouldn't let me pre order - they said they'll only have 4 left after the pre orders so I'd better be there when they open on sunday if I want one.
Went in my local Radio Shack yesterday, and they told me the pre order deadline was on Wednesday. Anyhow, they called me today and have one with my name on it for Sunday morning pick up. I doubt if these people will let one go early.
I also pre-ordered from RS and have been trying to get them to give it to me early, lol. When I pre-ordered on the 8th, guy said they were getting it in on the 10th and I could pick it up then!
So I went back on the 10th and unfortunately there was a different guy working and he refused to give it to me. Bah! I think it depends on the person there, some people seem to be more/less knowledgeable that others.
That being said, just heard Costco has them now and are being sold. I'm going over soon and see if they sell them off-contract. If not, then I'll swing by RS again and see who's working tonight, lol. Worth a try.
Looks like the only chance I have to get this a little early is to drop by RS before closing on Sat night, and hope they're cool enough to let me walk out with it...
I don't know why ATT is making such a big deal about the 13th release date. If a store has in stock, who cares!

I went in today and bribed the Guy to sell me one and he finally caved and went to ring me up....only to find out the sku wasn't recognized and it was literally impossible to buy guess I will be there bright and early. On a side note I also went in to att to ask about the price off contract as I heard it was 399 at corporate stores only for them to rudely tell me that because there wasn't a price tag yet that they couldn't tell me. Wtf att?? That kind of bull**** is probably why I will still buy at radio shack even if att is cheaper.

Got mine today from Radio Shack. Got to know the tricks. I was buying outright so that may have been the difference. He rang me up with 481.49 in gift cards. He will use those gift cards to ring the actual phone tomorrow. I waled out with a phone and was happy. I do have to make a return trip to get my real receipt. Radio Shack is supposedly $50 higher than COR stores on an outright purchase. I had a Otterbox Defender IP4 that I was given from there for Christmas. He took that back which netted my price down to about the same as the COR stores. If I did not have the freebie $50 off, I would have just waited to get it at a COR.

Haha, I considered that also, slipping the guy a $20... but if the sku won't even take, then I guess I'll just have to wait until Sunday morning.
BTW, I was looking at my pre-sale receipt and it does not mention the 2/13 release date at all - it only says they'll hold it for 3 days after getting it in stock. I suppose if you wanted to be a giant PITA, you could make a fuss out of it, but whatever... I'll just wait.

What is the real release date for the S2 Classic?

Does anyone know the real official release date of the S2 Classic? I know a few people got them from Best Buy and Macy's but neither of them have any in stock now it seems. Samsung has royally screwed up the release of this watch. When I tried Best Buy one time it said October 21st, but now it just says "Coming Soon". Any ideas or clues?

Macy's says in stock, but when you click checkout it says product is unavailable. I've tried to buy it three times over the phone, but it won't go through. Best Buy Canada website says the classic and white version will be available on October 30th, so I maybe that is when.
I ordered mine from Samsung on the 2nd, and it hasn't shipped yet. I called customer service last week and they said it would ship the 21st.
Samsung website has recently changed from 3 to 4 weeks to 1 to 3 business days for the classic as well, which matches the 21st.

Thanks for the info. Macy's told me they ship on the 21st and I saw that date at Best Buy one time as well. I guess they are finally getting full inventory.
Hopefully, I have had such a hard time buying this watch i'm not sure it's worth it anymore haha. I mean I love everything about the GS2, but this out of stock BS is insane.

I went to the Macy's at South Coast Plaza here in the OC and they had the black S2 and Classic in stock and on display.
I didn't like how rough the leather band was. It was hard to strap the watch on and take it off, especially compared to the S2. Also, the screen is noticeably smaller than the S2. Glad I got to see it in person.
I'm definitely getting the silver S2 3G version in November.

Last week bestbuy had two of them and I know of 2 people at work that have the classic. So I would say that your looking in the wrong place or waiting for something special if you don't have one. Easiest place right now is to just buy from Samsung Direct rather then driving around to stores checking stock.
You probley feel like an iPhone user right now how it takes 1 month after release to get the product in stock.

Not sure what you don't understand about the words "in stock", but thanks for playing. I've been on top of all the local stores here in/around philly and it's been hopeless. So you and your friends got one of the initial 5 pieces that were sent to limited stores. Pat yourself on the back.
I preordered S2 Classic on Amazon, oct 3rd, surprisingly delivered on oct 13th.
Had mine ordered on Amazon with no delivery date in sight. Cancelled and placed an order with Samsung online based on availability.
Yesterday I called them and verified that they received a large amount of stock. They told me that mine will ship within a day or so, and yet, I get an email notification today saying that mine is on back order! Samsung has done a terrible job of misjudging the demand forecast and is being awfully slow in supplying to meet the demands of its enthusiastic fans. There is no excuse for not supplying the product that's in demand. It's just poor planning and execution to say the least. I'm debating whether I still want this or not.

First I place an order on their on-line store based on "Ships in 1-3 business days" promise only to find out that my order gets placed on the back order status a day later.
Then, I get a promise of delivery from the batch of shipment from fulfillment center on 10/23.
Then, my order status becomes unavailable.
What the heck?
All this after trying to order from Bestbuy, Amazon and Macy and waiting for more than a week already.
This is not a proper way to handle your loyal customer!
It's bad enough to keep waiting for the availability of the product 20 days after releasing the product.
I don't need this false marketing and non-responsive customer service and support on top of that.

At least they responded quickly to my complaint. I shall wait a few more days...

Chances on picking one up in store tomorrow

What do you guys think if I show up maybe a hour before they open? I plan on going to the Verizon store.

Bastards. They wouldn't sell it to me (my wife) yesterday. Said we gotta pre order and wait for the email to pick it up.
I was able to "pre-order" a cancelled pre-order yesterday at Sams lol, but unfortunately it was silver and they seemed to be all out of pluses. I'm sure you'll find it somewhere though if you call enough stores...
I was able to walk right in my local corporate ATT store and pick up the galaxy s8 plus with no issues. I even made an appointment for opening time (9am) just to be safe, but when I got there, there was like nobody there. I was out the door with my new phone by 9:30.
Honestly, I thought it would've been a little busier, but galaxy phones just don't get the same hype as iphones.
