Hi there!
I'm going to buy Verizon LG G5 to use outside US. I have 3 questions:
1) Is it GSM unlocked to use outside US?
2) Is it possible to edit/add APN without root?
3) How does BAD ESN (IMEI) influence phone functionality? I mean: It will be still GMS unlocked with editable APN's?
Thanks!
Hi,
I am currently using this one in Mexico with Telcel and it's not necessary the root to add the APN. When I bought it, it was already GSM unlocked. I have not had problems with the IMEI.
There's also some advices. No hotspot, and also for me at least I'm not able to update the software.

I have an inspire 4g that is brand new and supposedly unlocked here. It is intended to be used on a gsm carrier in Egypt, the specific frequencies I do not know, nor am I interested. I would just like to know if anyone can help me establish if it is unlocked, as well as switch the language in the whole system to Arabic. I don't oppose root and flashing if need be, however it must be very reliable and stock like reliability if so, as it is going to someone who is not so tech savvy. Basically, is it a lost cause or is it plausible to easily get this thing working in a language they can read and keep it reliable?
Thanks for any information or help in advance!

That's a good question. Only thing I suggest is to flash a Rom that has your language already installed on it.

To verify if it's unlocked u must put in a sim and see if the device will place a call. I suggest u turn off device, put in sim, then reboot. That will let u know if it's GSM capabilities are unlocked

Is your inspire an att, Verizon or T-Mobile?

It is AT&T. It appears to coincide correctly with the frequencies that are used with the mobile carrier they intend to use, and I'll have a look at all the info you've provided, thank you!

Looking for beta neon between stable releases 1.7.38 and 1.7.39, before the new UI but with the notfication colours corrected.
You are out luck, I had around 18 versions, nightlies and stables and some days ago I deleted all, because I was running out of space on my Droid Ultra.

Can anyone in Korea confirm/deny that Samsung Pay works with root, KNOX not tripped?
No one can answer that until it is released, all that can be confirmed is the rumours which is no confirmation

Right, given the current beta test in Korea, I was hoping the right person would stumble across my post (a rooted-XDA-user-Korean-beta-tester, if such a person exists lol).
hello all !
I have recently sold my xiaomi redmi note 3 but as i wipped all data from the phone i forgot to unpair my mi band 2 ... I am currently using a umi phone on the latest version of android but the problem is , i tried signing into my existing mi account but wasn't recognized i also tried using my phone number and wansn't recognized and cannot pair my mi band 2 to the mi fit app even if my phone can pair with it in my blutooth settings ... now I have read somewhere that it is to stop people who steal your band or if you lose it from using it ... but they should really find a troubleshoot using the product model or something to ensure that it is in right hands ...
Has anyone found an easy way to fix this glitch ?
Its not a glitch its security
U have to sign it out from the 1st phone and unpair it to use it on the new one otherwise u try fix it for mi band 2

Hi I have recently purchased a oppo find X2 pro from eBay 2nd hand. When I've set it up it says the Google play is not certified and also Google pay will not work. I have checked with safety net and it fails with CTS profile mismatch. I'm not great with phones so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Craig
Do you have the Chinese or global variant?

Hi it's the global version. It was from Vodafone UK. It's currently on firmware A.30
I'm on A.30 as well, just check up on Google ways to fix this, shouldn't be to hard I don't think.

Or go on coloros/ROM website and download the A.30 file and install it again that should work best
