it won't work, cm is missing a bunch of lib files for that. crash crash can't find *.so bla bla in logcat.
you have to run stock to use the stock camera unless you get one like the previous link.

Sir luckily I've found out a method to use it on CM13, and I've made my own flashable zip also. You can flash that zip to get the latest camera and gallery on your device. Just provide me the apk if possible, I'll take care of the lib files

Even I extracted the lib files and the apk from my stock marshmallow rom, made a zip and flashed those on cm13. They were working smoothly without any issue but all I want is the apk from lollipop update

[APP] Google Talk from 2.3.4 extracted: NOT WORKING, Help Needed!

Hi everyone,
I downloaded the extracted .apk from latest Google Android release 2.3.4
The .apk is atached below.
I have had no success in installing the app on my 2.3.3 ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S. I tried pushing it to /system/app via Root Explorer, but once you try to install package it just doesn't install by saying "Aplication not installed".
Im no dev or whatsoever,so I would encourage anyone who could help to make it work on 2.3.3, Google stated in Google Mobile Blog that Google Talk with Video Chat will be for 2.3+ devices, so it "should" work on 2.3.3.
Any help is appreciated! Share your thoughts!
Try pushing it into system/app and then change permissions. Reboot and post result.

I doubt that it will work until you upgrade the OS version to 2.3.4, it might be integrated with os changes.

That was my first thought too, but after downloading the entire update it looks like that might not be the case. There aren't a ton of changes in there, and only two updated system apps. One of which is gtalk, the other is an nfc app(for supported devices obviously). I haven't looked through anything else yet(I'm slacking off enough at work as it is), but it would appear the changes are minimal.
Edit: found a new libtalk_ini.so file in /system/lib/
That may help? Anybody have time to try?
I really wish I knew how to do this stuff. I would love to give it a try but I'm so lost! Time to do some reading! LOL
The manifest for this apk says the target and minimum sdk version is 10, which is 2.3.3....so there's a good chance that after some deodexing and supporting files this will work no problemo
That's the key. It should work on 2.3+ as stated by Google, so I think i'ts up to deodexing and adding the proper files. Sure someone experienced can do it

Generally, yes.
I got it to run, but I can't tell how to start a video chat. I pushed the apk, and odex file to the system/app directory and the jnk.so file to the system lib directory. Ran Talk and it opened fine...
HTC Hero with Cyanogen 7.0.2
Btw, its very possibly its simply running the standard install of Talk.apk instead of Talk2.apk... I'll try removing the Talk.apk...
-- Confirmed. I removed the Talk.apk from the system/app/ folder... lost my Talk icon in the launcher. Rebooting; maybe it will showup after reboot.
-- Ok, now I'm not completely convinced that you can get rid of Talk.apk when you push Talk2.apk. They both may have to be there.

[Request] Stock v30a deodexed, zipaligned and rooted

Hi all.
I've tried to fully deodex and zipalign the stock v30a rom using this tutorial but I get continuos (every 5 to 10 seconds) FC on LG_Keyboard after restarting the system, so I'm asking someone with better tools/knowledge to
Create a fully deodexed, zipaligned and rooted v30a stock rom.
Flashable zip format would be great, bin format I think would also be useful for many people.
Thanks!
Have you tried getting the library file of the keyboard and put it in the libraries folder of the system?
See, when you open the apk of the said keyboard, one of it's contents would be a folder called "lib"
The contents of the said folder would be a library file with an extension of .so
What you need to do, is to extract that one file from the apk and put it in the system's library folder. If I recall correctly, the path would be...

Mainly it's just the camera but i also don't like using Hangouts for messaging.
I know i can install the normal one from the Play Store but it doesn't get themed correctly whenever i apply custom themes.
If someone did get the motorola camera working with it then i would probably switch.

First you need to find the name of the package it's conflicting with so I suspect it's conflicting with CMFileManager.
If you have 7zip you can double click on the pixelfy file go to META-INF/com/google/android/ then drag out the updater-script into a folder or your desktop.
Open the updater-script with notepad and then let me know once you have done this.
Which file manager app is it conflicting with?

So... Correct me if I'm wrong (there's a chance I am...), but shouldn't there be either .dex or .odex file(s) inside the apk? I've been researching and even experimented with other apks to make sure. I tried using dex-tools to create a .jar and that's where the .dex file(s) should come into play (I think). There aren't any .dex or .odex files inside either the apk or the unzipped folder.

So... Correct me if I'm wrong (there's a chance I am...), but shouldn't there be either .dex or .odex file(s) inside the apk? I've been researching and even experimented with other apks to make sure. That's because I deodexed it before, I can send you the apk and odex files if you want to.

Yes, please send everything. Aren't the .odex files inside the apk?

That's not how it works, if you deodex the app, you get rid of the odex files, so they don't exist anymore.
Here is the apk with the oat and lib files.

Hi guys,
Is there anyone who is working on the not VOS based custom ROM? Can we expect it to be available?
Thanks in advance.
