the new Iphone 4 is out, and I think that the HD2 can handle move editing quite well, Is there any movie editing software out there? (like the Omnia's video editor?)
thanks,
Sapir.
I found this from Omnia. Dunno - working or not. Try.
I use the VGA version of TrakAx with the WVGAFIX cab.
Its a bit crude because you lose some of the screen but its a pretty powerful app.
Results are VGA 640x480 only though.
this app doesn't work.... it doesn't show on my start menu...
Video editors come with a wide range of features and capabilities. However, many editors lack the ability to efficiently create templates. This can be a limiting factor when creating videos, as templates can help speed up the video creation process.
Adding templates to a video editor gives you the ability to quickly create videos with pre-defined settings and formats. This can save you time and effort when creating new videos, as well as make it easier to repeat common tasks.
i wonder
can any one explain me the systematization behind the picasa and the 3D gallery
the reason i am asking this is because i am confused by the way the gallery choose to order the photo it seems that it is by the order of the upload which is doesn't make sense.
another thing and more important is the way it is splitting the photos to groups
it should be by date and geolocation but what i get is:
for example,
first group (dec 8 2010) with 21 photos
second group (dec 8 2010) with 1 photo
* both groups with the same geolocation
sometimes it is split to 3 groups with the same date even photos with few minutes intervals
any ideas how to avoid this
its really bad when you have 1000 picture and instead having 10~15 groups you have 25~30
please Help
(i am using Nexus S, CM7)
UP PLease !!!
I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing it relies on the media scanner process, and service in the Android system that automatically scans your SD card for media files. And when the media scanner detects new photos, the gallery probably just throws them into their own group without considering how they relate to the other groups present. At least that's how it seems to happen.
I'm guessing the ordering of albums is so strange because it doesn't order albums. They appear in the way that they're internally cached, which will depend on a few different factors all mostly out of your control.
Honestly, I despise the default gallery with a burning passion. Sure, it's got a cheesy 3D effect that makes it all shiny and 2.0, but it's slow as hell, has several small but irritating problems (like everything you're talking about) and lacks any real features at all.
I use QuickPic myself. It's simpler: it presents your albums in a 2D grid, but it gives you a bit more control via the settings. Its big plus is, it's very fast. It picks up new images instantly, it renders the albums and individual pictures very quickly even when they're very large, and it can do so without lagging at all. The default gallery would lag like crazy whenever it tried to render newly-added content, and that's on my Evo 4G that I've done some work to optimize. I can only imagine how people deal with the default gallery on a slower phone.
Is there a version of Web Albums for ipad on Android? Or something equivalent.
The best thing about Web Album is it not only access your Picasa storage the way it is meant to be but also offers the option to cache your photos on your device (ipad).
That way, I solve the organization issue & maintains consistency across multiple devices.
Edit: Still looking for equivalent to Picasa for home videos though.... Any tips?

This program doesn't show the picasa web albums
so its not really a substitute for the Built in Gallery
Do you have any solution for that

Finally, some notes on my app development.
After about three months of app design and development, website frontend and backend setup, blog setup and social website setup,
this PicPac app is live for public beta testing. I am an independent Android developer and a PhD student, so I do not have much money to play with for graphic
design and in-depth testing. So I really hope the public can give me bug report and feedback to help me improve this app.
XDA-Developer is a great place as always that encourages me a lot for my Android app development
Cheers!
The in-app purchases have changed.
Previously has Pro $1.99 to enable some of the features, then Premium $1.99 to enable all features (requires to upgrade to Pro first)
Now only keep Pro $1.99 which include all the features. This is updated from some user feedback and to clear the confusion of two-step upgrade.
Enjoy~
Very impressive. Gonna give this a go today at the beach.
looks awesome.Gonna try.Thank you for the application !

Thank you for the logcat. I also got a few from the Google Play Console.
That was probably because I forgot to encode the query string to a good format, so for example if it contains space, it crash...
I have updated the code to fix a few other bugs, and will push it to Google Play in a few hours.
You will get the app auto updated in roughly 12 hours.
Cheers

Not sure exactly why, but many of SoundCloud music are from free users, and their song can only be download for a limited times (maybe 1000).
Try a different song, and a smaller sized one?
Waiting for your feedback :good:
Cheers
App updated. Will get auto update from Google Play in about 3 hours.
v1.08 - Various bug fixes: select music, search SoundCloud music, timelapse, reduce image size to save memory.
v1.09 - Urgent fix - cannot save videos in v1.08 sometimes.
Well done keep up the good work, might give this a shot soon.
So far so good
v1.11 - New feature: Rotate individual pictures by long press (Android\'s camera is very sensitive to orientation change!). Other bug fixes.
Hey..
This app is amazing.
Thanks a lot.
Just 1 suggestion: is it possible to add an option to add image from Gallery which would launch the default gallery app..? Or like add pic from album so that it is easy to add pics to a project..
The current pic selector takes a lot of time to load each picture.. And its quite hard to find some specific pic out of a bunch of 1000+ pics..
Hope u consider my suggestion..
Thanky you again..

You have SOOOO many pictures in your phone! My dev phone (Nexus 5) only have 200+, and I clean it regularly so it runs ok ^_^
Currently the only solution is to create another project with your new pics, then combine (i.e. Pro feature) your two or more projects into one.
The problem of the default gallery app is that it only support selecting one picture a time, so if you want to add multiple pictures, you need to do it multiple times.
I will definitely consider your suggestion, and support adding pics into existing project soon

v1.12 (22/03/2014) - Bug fixed based on ACRA reports.
ACRA is a must-have for all Android developers to collect live exception stack tract! No need to wait for Google Developer Console (only a few people will report).

Lol.. Actually i like to have all my photos with me all the time..
If gallery only allows us to add 1 pic at a time then that would be a bigger problem..
See im no developer so i dont know what is possible and what is not..
But i have a few (stupid) ideas:
1) There could be a way to make ur app to read pictures in different folders.. Like you see when u send pics on Whatsapp..
2) Instead of launching gallery you could launch a file Explorer.. That would allows us to add few pics at once..
3) I think this could be possible.. When we add pic there r options on top to select today, last 7days and all.. If you could make that bar scrool horizontally and add options like last month or 6 month..
These r just vague ideas.. I have no intention of dumping them on you..
The app is great anyway..
Ty mate..
All fans of animated png "APNG" who have an Android device will now finally get

(if your device can even handle apng that fast)
It is a free app,and there is also a Pro version as well if you feel like supporting it.

I was using Filmora free version on to create some videos and realised that it is a fast and effective way to editing but do not have the customization options I'm looking for. Seems like PowerDirector may be the thing I was looking for, thanks for sharing.
Which one is easy to use?
