[Completed] Kingroot works, SuperSU and Super-SUME don't...

Ok, I'm relatively new to Android and modern mobiles, but I've learned quite a bit already on my own, without much help from others.
The fact some communities provide little to no help is why I came to XDA, but I'm afraid I'm already disappointed about this particular issue.
Ok here it is: I'm not using a custom ROM, and I don't think I want to use one. I'm using the stock ROM, but I've rooted my device with Kingroot, which seems the only one that REALLY WORKS for any device. That's what makes me mad (I don't know if mad is the exact word, but.... I don't know how else to put it).
When I try to install SuperSU, it won't work because it can't update or install its own binaries. When I try the Super-SUME solution, it also doesn't work. In Super-SUME's case (which a friend thankfully helped me test most versions):
6.0 = successfully uninstalls Kingroot, but that's it;
6.2 = same as 6.0 and installs SuperSU, but that's it, nothing works, nor are the binaries updated/installed;
any other version above 6.2, including the latest one (9.2.3): hangs/freezes in "processing, please wait..." and does nothing.
And I don't know who programmed Super-SUME, but I think it's pretty bold on their part to charge for the app when it won't even work on people's devices, as noted above.
So, forgive my rant, but even though Kingroot is infamous (because it's Chinese perhaps ?), at least its devs are capable of successfully obtaining root on all devices, whereas SuperSU's and Super-SUME's devs make it impossible because of the binaries or just because their app hangs on "processing". If a team of devs can successfully root a device, why others cannot without making the user go through extra steps ?
As for these "extra steps", there's not one tutorial on the web (that I had come across at least) with a clear, step-by-step process to install SU's binaries, or to fix Super-SUME's hanging/freezing issues. So after rooting my device and getting rid of Kingroot, all I can work with is an unrooted device with most bloatware out of the way.
I just wish these other devs would go the extra mile and make their apps successfully obtain root without complications, just like Kingroot does. The complications just make their apps useless.

Kingroot is not always the best choice cause it's not fully compatible with every device.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I have already tried this root solution in the past. It's the only one where I managed to get SuperSU to work, but... the phone will always boot up in recovery mode. So I gave up on this solution as well.

Blu dash 5.0

All right guys here it is, I am trying like hell to root my blu dash 5.0. I found one post that had me flash a rooted image. bricked it once, brought it back by flashing full stock image. did it properly the second, third, and fourth time. I have tried all manner of one click root tools. Tried Framaroot. Nada. Is there anyone out there who has found the way? I am willing to try anything. I am even willing to attempt to find a way to root it myself, but I have never done anything like this on android so i'd need some basic worries/questions answered before I start messing around.
Also, are there any custom Roms for my phone? I've never used custom roms before, but this past summer I did install one on a family members hp tablet because it wasn't android. it was HPs crappy intent for an OS that had been discontinued and they asked if I could get the wifi to work. I ended up just installing a custom Rom because the OS wasn't great any way and I knew they'd prefer android due to familiarity. I decided I'd like to try custom roms on this phone, but i cant figure out if there are any.

forgot to add I can flash it to 4.2 with the stock image i have, but id like a rooted 4.4 or better, if possible.

I tried Kingroot from the pc, and lo and behold, it worked! So now I am trying to get app2sd to work ( my main reason for wanting root). Also if anybody has any custom roms they know of that are compatible, I'd appreciate it. I've looked, but most don't say if they'd work.

[Completed] Question About Rooting As A Beginner And With A Mac

I am looking to be pointed in the right direction as someone who is brand new to rooting and has done some research but is still confused by the process.
I am looking to improve the performance of my Samsung Galaxy S 5. I researched a little about rooting and came across Cyanogenmod. Essentially, I'm looking to install it on my phone, however getting from point A, having a basic phone, to point B, having a rooted phone with Cyanogenmod, has been a little trickier than I thought. I am stuck honestly. I apologize for not knowing essentially anything. I stayed up all night trying to figure this out and it seems every website has a different set of instructions and they have their own complexities, for example, many of them are for Windows, and I could not find any for Mac users. Is there one reliable set of instructions you know that are best suited for someone who has never rooted before?
From my understanding, I first need to root my phone, flash it, and install Cyanogenmod. This all seems much easier than it looks. To me at least. I came across a rooting tool, which I believe is developed by XDA, called CF-Auto-Root. The only problem is it requires you to install another program called Odin which is only for Windows users.
Basically, is there a guide out there that explains step by step how to root, flash, and install ROMs AND that is Mac friendly?
Another question I have is about the pre-loaded google apps that come with the phone. As I understand, once I run or boot from Cyanogenmod, I won't have any of the google apps, meaning I will not have the Play Store installed. There is a GApps pack that comes with many of the google apps which can also be installed using the recovery menu. Is this difficult?

Greetings and welcome to xda. First of all most custom roms are pre rooted so you just need to install a custom recovery like twrp then use this to flash your custom rom. All CM based roms will also provide a link to a google apps package which you install in the same way as the custom rom (flashing through recovery). Installing a custom recovery is slightly more complicated with a mac than windows pc as you will need to use heilmdall but once you have your custom recovery installed everything else can be done through the phone.

Rooting Motorola Moto G5 Plus with a non-admin PC?

Hi guys,
im new to XDA but i've been messing with rooting and stuff on a few android phones for a while and recently i got my hands on the new Moto G5 Plus. And ofcourse this thing needs root if it wants to call itself 'my phone' But the problem is here: I dont really have a computer... I saw some tutorials on how to do it but step 1. You have to unlock the bootloader. Im pretty sure this can only be done the official way by using motorola's software so... yeah. Now at school i have a pc but i can't use anything that needs administration rights. It's just ment to use the Internet and such. So i can only use pc programs that don't need an installation or anything. And a step back, you can't even do anything on it with a pc unless you have the drivers. And surprise surprise, you have to install these. On my previous phone, a samsung galaxy S3 neo. I rooted it, installed twrp and cyanogenmod with lollipop 5.0. And without a computer. I rooted it with KingRoot, a oneclickroot program for the people that want to root just for the root acces and dont really care about how it's done and stuff like that. Then with rom manager installed twrp. And with twrp i flashed CM. So i tried OneClickRoot software on my G5 Plus. And it failed. Kingroot, kingoroot, framaroot, baiduroot, towelroot, oneclickroot etc. And all failed, which is probably because it's locked.. Well OFCOURSE that's the reason what am i thinking!? But back to the phone. If anyone has an idea on how to do this if its even possible... Please let me know! I tried everything.. (i think?) I would prefer a way where it only roots so keeps the stock recovery. This way i can still install system updates right? I have no idea..

From the little research that I did, it seems like you HAVE to use a computer to do it. My advice is, since you are still at school, get some friends... that have computers and use it. Another thing that I thought was somewhat bootleg, get another android device and install the fastboot command on it and use a usb otg cable to connect to it. I have adb working as a command, so I guess fastboot could work as well lol.

Rooting Help for a Huawei T1-701ua Tablet

Hello XDA Community,
I have an old tablet, the Huawei T1-701ua. In recent times I haven't used it as much, but it's because it's running slow.
I want to root it and repurpose it for something else, like a portable media device. Because this tablet is my only one with a moderately big screen. But I've been running into some issues.
The bootloader is locked with a code, that I just cannot unlock. It's argubly the dumbest system Huawei has invented for locking a bootloader. But even if I really was able to unlock it. What do I do with it? Paying a small fee for the code is okay.
And even if I went through all these roadblocks and successfully rooted my tablet, I can't see any officially supported custom roms/images for it, and I don't want to risk bricking it. I've wanted for a long time to install another OS on it, but I wasn't knowledgeable enough.
*I don't want to use Kingroot, Kingoroot, or other one tap root apps, since to me they seem unsafe, and it also makes this rooting process way less interesting*
So with this post, I am kindly asking anyone who sees this to answer a couple of questions, that will help me greatly.
1. Is it worth it to root, in order to remove all bloatware and make this tablet run better, or is there another way?
2. What do I do in order to unlock bootloader with the code?
3. Can I install a custom rom/image/OS through recovery, that isn't supported, and not get my tablet bricked? (eg. LineageOS, even if it's an older version)
I still haven't figured out how and with what exactly I will root my tablet eventually, but due to the lack of information about rooting this kind of tablet, and almost no custom rom developers including this tablet in their support list, I haven't decided.
I will greatly appreciate if anyone who does have information about this topic, link me to another forum post or etc. if this sort of stuff can be easily answered there.

Simple. No. It is not possible to install another OS. Most, if not all Huaweis, has 3 states only: EMUI, off and bricked.

Thanks for the reply! I guess Huaweis are just the worst devices for rooting/installing another OS. Bad luck I got right there.
I am not gonna root it, maybe just a factory reset and debloating wherever I can.
