widget trouble - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Hello everyone! I have 2 widgets on one home screen that I cannot get rid of? I long press to drag them up to 'remove' and they won't go away? They fly right back to where they started? Am I missing something here?
Open to suggestions. Thanks

No you can't I think you're thinking of MaxManila.
on the home screen, click on menu>remove home screen tabs and untick the ones you don't want
Hi all
Yes i know you can remove certain icons but you are always left with the home icon but this just seems a waste of space and also i like to have a full clear home screen.
Try this, let me know if it works for you though, didn't install properly on mine, had to uninstall.

Close current running app and go to home menu

Hi all,
I am looking for the following function:
when pressing the home button, close current app and go to the home screen. When pressing long on the home button, go to the home screen (not closing the app in front)
Any ideas/suggestions?
Tnx
oh the xphrone style home button i see
yes it would be great and I want something like this too.
hopefully some devs can do this but it wont be easy since it is not easy tho replace the home button to another shortcut as it directly hits the system file without detouring. (correct me if im wrong, or this looks confusing cause im half asleep)
cheers

Well, I don't know the xphrone, but it is something like the iPhone that I mean. The reason is that I open a lot of apps, and always go to the home screen. This means that a lot of apps are open?
So this needs a continuously checking of tasks running. So if you could close the app while going home, this should not be any worries.
I know a lot of people will now say, that the multitasking is gone this way, but if you want an app to stay open, you can still do it by long pressing the home button

[Q] Nexus S 2.3.6 Hidden Menu?

I have accidentally opened up a menu that I have never been able to do before (or again). I think I was long pressing something but I am not sure.
Anyways, at the bottom of the screen, there was what looked like a speech bubble with 5 icons inside of it. Looked a lot like the menu in ICS. I don't know how I did it and I have been trying to do it again. Anyone know what I am talking about?
Thanks,
Mike
Long press Home to bring up your most recent used apps that are stored in memory.

glitch on home screen when coming out of app?

Hi there.
I've had a search, but can find no reference to my problem, which is that my homescreen often 'judders' when I return to it - almost as if the animation is somehow centering or resetting itself? So, if I'm looking at the BBC news app and I hit the home button, rather than the back button, my homescreen isn't quite centred when it arrives. Any ideas?
Many thanks, in advance...

Palmswipe screenshot issues

Hi guys
Has anyone mastered how to use palmswipe effectively? I've spent ages trying to get a good screenshot but often my palm opens up apps it touches, opens the edge screen or selects random items instead of taking a screenshot. I find let to right more accurate but I just cant get that screenshot when needed
Maybe I'm doing it wrong or missing something - any help/advice will be muchly appreciated
I just use the side of my pinkie finger in the middle of the screen. I had issues too as trying to palm swipe would cause the screen to scroll around or swipe to the next image or page.
Hope that helps

That works a dream - I was always starting right from the edge of the screen but starting from the middle of the screen is much better.
Cheers
I find its much easier to use power button and volume down button simultaneously .
