Bacon and hammerhead have same cpu and it is possible to port. Just merge some hammerhead trees and it could work. Or You can wait for slimteam release

This forum section seems to be the hoppin spot for our Note 3's. I still have a thread in the Sprint section, but since we are Unified this thread will be the only one I check. From time to time you may find a link in this post, link will be a test build that I am currently running on my own device. To report any bugs for these builds, please PM me the logcat/bug reports. Do Not post in the thread about these builds, Thank You.
one more for good measure
Sweet - Terrific news Cordell! The N3 couldn't be in better hands than having you as the Dev & Slim as the Rom ?

This is the Official SlimKat - Which receives Weekly updates that are in downloads - under the Listing "unstable" - HOWEVER - The Weekly builds are DEFINITELY NOT unstable! The Weeklies are Awesome! With the latest updates ?
Will03's SlimKat is an Unofficial build with some other tweaks. ?
Both Roms are excellent - Try them both & decide which suits your needs - And be sure to Thank Cordell - He's the device Dev and Official device Maintainer.

The "Seandroid & Warranty bit" are normal messages for a Rooted device with a Custom Recovery.
Which recovery are you using?

Sir, I know this message is normal and doesn't bother me at all, my problem is phone is not boot after flashing. I'm using CWM recovery by Chenglu 6.0.4.7.

Irealy love Slim rom but...battery life is most important for me.
How is battery life with this rom and can someone copmare with stock rom ?
Quite possibly a stupid question, but does the S-Pen work with slim rom?
I'm guessing not due to proprietary software baked into TW, but doesn't hurt to ask as I haven't seen anyone else ask and googling is a dead end.

There's a few alternative apps that allow the Spen to work - Spen Helper - Note Buddy - Papyrus - Google Keep - Air Command etc.
No it's not exactly the same as Samsung TW - But it works.

I think you mean the kernel source. We need this to build a kernel for our mi4i. Especially for a custom from like cm12. But its not as easy as downloading a rom. A complete devices stock have to be created for the device to get everything work. So far as I know cm doesn't support any xiaomi device official. For cm we need the suitably vendor files to build the rom. Some we can pick from similar devices like yureka for example.
I think the devs here will do a good job. In 2 weeks after my exams I have time to try a port if in this time not other devs release a rom

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation.
I am new to this stuff. If you don't mind can you please expalin.
1. So, When we have Kernel, How we can use the files of the Kernel to port other devices.?
2. Suppose, If we take AOSP Rom from Google and Developers Rom from MIUI and can I simply replace the files?

Device tree, vendor files.

Hi, I'm currently trying to build AOSP for our device from source however I cannot figure out how to add device support, I've followed so many guides on editing the local_manifests.XML but I can't seem to get it to work.
Can any of our devs explain to me how to build AOSP with the addition of our device support? I'm not entirely worried about kernel ATM as our source was released so I will build that.
I just can't for the life of me add device support properly.. Could anyone link me to a guide or some other stuff to read? Google is very unhelpful when googling Linux related issues.
Edit - to clear up any confusion bottom line as of right now I basically need to know how to implement the device tree we already do have (several github links, mainly cm based) into my AOSP source.
Would I just technically copy the files into Google's already created device/vendor/ folders?
https://source.android.com/source/add-device.html using this link as reference. May be very bland.

[Help] Add CM Theme Engine to AOSP

Hey guys, after buying a N5X and feel again the pure google, now my Z5C is back from repair and I can't leave AOSP again, at first for CM Theme Engine.
The unofficial CM have to BIG issues, like laggy camera and no fingerprint, PA have heavy problems with camera, so I was wondering if I could just ad the CM Theme Ingine in official AOSP.
Thank you guys. (Hope I didn't misspost)

How to add PIE Control to ROM?

Hello, I`ll make my own CM 13.0 modification. How I can add to my ROM PIE Controls? I`ll add it to source code so I think if I need some github commits of this but I can`t find any good :/ And how can I add this to settings app?
I think Screwd rom has it. Maybe check their commits?
Also, I use Unique Controls(app) for PIE control. ?
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Yeah, I saw commits from AICP ROM but idk how I can implement this to my local ROM sources :/ And I know if I need to add PIE options to Settings app or create own app like this is in AICP ROM :/ I don`t know how I can do this :c
I don`t want to use "external" app because of I`ll have those options built-in on my ROM ;3
