[Q] Droid 2 Global and Gingerbread Rom Compiling

Call me crazy... but I am a past programmer..
I have a D2G phone and wondering if its even possible to Setup and Compile Gingerbread and use the files off of my phone ?
I Read alot of D2 how to compile on Ubuto and williing to give it a try.. if its possible at all ?

I am going ahead and setup a developement computer.. still in search of help... Anyone ?

SGS2 GI9100G Rooting Issue?

GT-i9100G (with G at the end) and uses Gingerbread.JPKH8 ROM, 2.6.35.7 [email protected]#2 kernel and I9100GDZKH5 baseband. below are the SC.... PLease suggest where can i find the stock kernel and can we modify the kernel for this phone? have read alot but there is nothing online that can root this particular model... ;(

It has been 3 days i am still waiting for a response.... Dear Developers, you all are the best so please help me!!!!
ALso if there isn't a custom ROM for GI9100G, then make one but i seriously want to customize my phone!!!

Why everybody need to root their device and what are the benefits if you have rooted your device.

it helps you in cutomizing your phone and allows you to make changes to default softwares and also you can replace tyhe defualt ones with the other ones available in the market..... rest a pro developer would be able to answer your question in more detail !!!

Sidekick 4g not accepting roms

Sorry if someone posted something like this before. I need help I rooted my sidekick 4g and i forgot to do a back up before installing a rom. The rom doesnt work no matter how many i have tryed. can someone help me fix my error and get a rom on that works or tell me that there is no use. all help is welcome thank you in advance.

go the standard way? that is plug your phone to a pc, open lg updater go to options and chose emergency restore (or something like that mine is in greek) insert your imei and let the program do its job.

yeah. go here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236 download the original rom for your phone and the flashing programs and follow the instructions. that should do it.

can somebody plz tell me a way of rooting my inspire 4g thats works i want to be able to flash roms i have tried all the ways on here with nothing or can somebody direct me to a vid that shows the rite way of doing it.... thx so much
