The first one is CyanogenMod without gapps & less features than the second one with is inclued Cygn next camera & galery , live lockscreen , gapps , cortana , microsoft hyperlase and munch more but isn't updated daily or weekly like CM13 only one update per month so choose your camp
CM13.0 is the community version and COS13.1 is the commercial version by cyanogen. You can also get images from the official website https://cyngn.com/support

I am using CM14.1 and it's definitely better than CM 13 or COS 13 (also they are not being updated now). It is updated regularly. As of now it has not all the features of CM13 as it is still in early development stages. Also, it may contain bugs but it is definitely a daily driver material for me.

will I need to re-install everything after flashing 14.1 over CM13? will I get OTA for new built after or have to do it manually and re-install everything again?
I think I have TWRP, what is the correct way to go from CM13 to 14.1 nightly? sorry, am a newbie on flashing and afraid to brick the phone,
thanks again,

Yes you will get OTA almost everyday since it's nightly. And no you don't have to re-install anything again with every update.
For Flashing CM 14.1 you must clean install. In the process you loose all your data including internal storage, apps, call logs, messages, everything.
Go to TWRP recovery > Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Dalvik/ART cache, system, data, cache > Swipe to Wipe
Then you can flash CM 14.1 zip and gapps.

While flashing you'll see 2 lines of 'Unknown log' or somethong like that in Red color, just ignore that.
Use 7.1 nano gapps.
Battery life is not that great but yeat it's decent. Although standby time is good. I don't know about ressurection remix since i haven't used it. But it is based on CM14.1 only so i assume it os goos too.

Hello,
I have flashed before i9100 OMNI ROM 4.4.1 LINARO/SABERMOD NIGHTLY BUILDS Nightly Build 4.4.1 20131209, after gapps core and supersu 1.65. Then wipes data, cache, dalvik cache. I changed from dalvik to art.
With the long press on the recent application I don't view the menu if the split view. Why?

Hi!
How can I downgrade my phone to CM12?
I flashed the bootloader and Radio, flashed the last nightly and gapps and wipe dalvik/cache but I get 'Android.process.media has stopped'.
Must I do a full wipe to downgrade?
Thanks in advance.
I would also wipe data (not a full wipe) because there were many changes from 12 to 12.1.

Finally, don't work the wipe for me. I had to recover an old nandroid of cm11 and update it to cm12.
Now I have an stable cm 12 nightly build... but it wasn't easy
If I would like to update to latest nightly of CM12.1 do I have clean wipe or simply flash the latest zip?

i can only answer this surely if you tell us which rom/ version you currently using .... but if you allready on CM12.1 update this way:
(dirty install):
backup current rom (in case of problems)
in recovery install the new update
wipe cache + dalvic-cache
now, if you get any issues or FC's etc... you will need a clean install (fatcory reset / data wipe)
remeber this rom is still under development so sometimes a clean install in fact is needed...
I installed CM 13.0 Nightlies since the 12.1 Nightlies stopped so and it seemed great at first, Doze, Now on Tap, etc. But ever since i have been running CM13 nightlies there have been too many problems, for now, and random reboots. Is there any way to downgrade back to CM12.1 snapshot(preferable b/c more stable) or nightlies without loosing all my data? Thanks in advance.

First, perform a backup of your existing setup, and then perform a clean install (wipe /data and /system; TWRP is recommended). Next, try flashing the ROM and see if it installs; if it installs without any issues then congratulations! Now just flash a Google Apps package, and then reboot.
Only your internal storage will be safe! But it is recommended to backup atleast once if in case anything goes wrong.
+1. Follow the above procedure and that should do it. Why do you want to downgrade ? cm13 is pretty stable as it is.

He probably did not read why these reboots occur and when they started.
Being up2date with the current development is mandatory when using a custom rom...
Hey
I used the slim zero gapps, but today I saw that there wont be more updates
If I'm using slim zero gapps
which should I use now?
Opengapps, but which ones?
And, how could I install it? flashing with TWRP as I used to do with slimzero or I need a clean installation of CM13 + gapps?
thank you

Try Banks Dynamic Gapps 6.0.x. That's what TSL recommends for their ROMs and it works really well for me. http://www.teamsuperluminal.org/download/banks-dynamic-gapps-6-0-x/
I 've read there that I need to wipe system, and data
so, it is a clean installation and I 'll need to install again all the apps
isnt it?
thank you
I don't think that there's any reason to do a full wipe if you install GAPPS. Just wipe Dalvik/ART Cache and Cache after you've installed GAPPs and you should be good to go (I think). That is, if you haven't installed any previous version of GAPPS. The first boot will probably take a few minutes, depending how many apps you have installed on your phone. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry!
