Lg G4 hard brick... need help please wiling to donate cash.

Hi everybody..
I'm in desperate need of help. After attempting to root my g4 somehow something went wrong and the phone is completely dead with no sign of life . I know there isn't a way yet to unbrick the g4 but I'm hoping somebody out there is working on it and maybe can help me out.. I'm willing to donate for the help Thank you !

What exactly are your symptoms? Does it not even turn on? Have you tried getting into download mode? How exactly did you try to root it? What were your steps and are you able to identify where you went wrong exactly?

I was trying to gain root access following this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/root-tmo-vzw-intl-variants-soon-root-lg-t3164765. everything seemed to go well but after it was complete the phone wouldn't start and it booted only to a message on the LG LOGO with something failed. At that point I was still able to get to download mood so I tried to restore it to stock doing this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848. again the process went like it should but at the end the phone went dead with no signs of life, No led light, No vibration, can't turn on to anything and only gets detected on the computer as " qhsusb bulk ". My guess is I used the wrong KDZ files
I would appreciate it if you can help.

It indeed sounds like you have a hard brick, in which case the device can't be brought back to life.
However for chance, and for future reference. Which kdz did you try to flash? Assuming your device is the ATT model, then did you download the Puerto Rico kdz?
Because there is not a KDZ or TOT for the ATT H810 model the Puerto Rico KDZ from Claro will recover an ATT soft brick. These are labeled H810PR.

Maybe you downloaded the wrong img file from the first post? It has to not only match your phone, but ALSO match the version of the firmware you're currently running. That's why this method here is better:

Because you just make a backup img of your system partition and then inject root into that and you have a new rooted system partition img file along with your original system partition image file so you can go back to stock if you want some time later. I'm guessing you tried flashing the wrong version of your firmware. Do you know what version you were on? Looks like the only one listed on that thread is version g. I'm on version b, so if I were to have tried that, I would also have had an error when trying to boot. Had you made a backup of your original system partition as mentioned here you should have simply been able to dd it back and you'd be up and running. However now it looks like you've "hard bricked" your phone indeed. Out of curiosity, which KDZ file did you use? What's the file name that downloaded?
It looks like there are some utilities created that can UNBRICK some phones when they get into this state, but it looks like they have had custom scripts written for the partitions of those phones, for example:

Maybe someone familiar with how those apps run could modify that app for unbricking the G4s? Currently however, there doesn't seem to be anything you can currently do to immediately fix your phone. So ... can you get it exchanged or replaced????

Honestly, bring the phone to ATT and tell them it said an update was available, and upon accepting it...the phone ended up in this state. They will most likely exchange it for you.

not an option because I bought it from somebody on craigslist... I already bought another one so I'll just wait and see if somebody comes up with a solution if not I'll sell it for parts.

Any chance they can give you the original receipt and that way you could possibly send it in for warranty work.

Sir my lg g4 ATT start problem of bootlooping on factory (stock) rom .yesterday night when i was playing game on it automatically it restarted and starting this problem..
Can i fix it by installing H810PR kdz to my lg g4 H810.

first thing is that you need a backup.img of mmcblk partition from running h81020n firmware (Because DOwngrade baeband not support)

Canadian Stylo (LGH636) Hard Bricked

As the name suggests, I being a very smart person decided to flash a KDZ for the T-Mobile version at 25% battery. It either died during the flashing or wasn't going to work in the first place, about 80% through the flashing the screen went black and I was left with QHSUSB_BULK. The screen does not turn on, also while charging the LED doesn't turn on. Can anyone help me

Did you tried entering the recovery mode?

first of all, can you get back into download mode, or boot into safe mode at all? If so then it's definitely not a hard brick, which means that you might have some hope. So long as you can get it back into download mode, and if you're able to find an appropriate KDZ for your specific model (H636), it might be possible to undo the damage and get your device working again.
But from the sound of it, with the fact that your display doesn't come on, nor does your LED light, it sounds like it's a hard brick. Which means that you're now the proud owner of an LG branded paperweight. If you tried flashing the KDZ from the unbricking guide on the forums, it will only work if your device is already a US T-Mobile or MetroPCS model (H631 or MS631, respectively). Any other model (like the US Boost/Virgin/Cricket models, or non-US variants) will just result in failure, and ultimately a hard brick.

@nicegamer7 There is no known KDZ for the H636 -- you do have a hard bricked device.
@Mike238601 If you have a model that is in the unbrick thread, that has a KDZ available, you can save your device. If there isn't a KDZ available, then you probably have a brick.

Q - TOT file for H955?

Hi guys, I bought this phone and I'm really enjoying it, but had a problem last week. I soft bricked the phone and couldn't find any TOT firmware files for flashing, only KDZ and had that known problem being stuck at 9% when flashing the KDZ.
I've searched everywhere, but couldn't find a TOT firmware files. Arent there any firmware version for the European H955 in TOT file format?
I've sent my phone to the local LG service, and they've flashed it and brought the phone back to life. But still I'm feeling kind of insecure having no way to bring the phone back from dead when I'm trying or testing things.
So, question for you guys - did you came across a TOT file for the H955 of GF2?

Thx for reply. They did flash that for me. How I bricked it? I made a custom flash zip file with G4 apps and setting the permission for the system partition. Well, it didn't went well...

f350l is bricked by flashing 838 kdz

Hey guys i was converting my phon to 838 32 gb
..i tried to flash 838 kdz...on pc the flashtool get hangs on 19 percent..the phone shows 13 percent...the progress bar repeat 3 times from zero to 13 on phone...i tried every method but flashtool get stop at 19 nd gave me error phone disconected..
So i downloaded tot file for my f350l...it gaves me cross dll error...my phone is bricked now...wat to do now plzz guys ..u guys r my last hope..i m trying from last one week but no luck...
I have tried 838 lolipop kitkat kdz...
F350l lolypop kdz nd kitkat kdz
Tried cdma 3gqct diag cs emergency every mod
Tried to edit kdz wth hexediter..but dnt know if it was correct.....
Can i try f350l tot wth 838 dll??
Or can u guys gave me link of universal dll file??
Belive me i hav google alots..but because of weak english i cnt find wat i need...
Seems like my phone is paper weight anymore

Try to flash the original F350L firmware (KDZ) of your device. The F350L TOT file will not work since you already re-written the build prop on your device from F350L to 838 that is why you are being getting the cross dll error.

Try again the TOT file. In the Action Mode settings mark Board DL instead of Upgrade DL.

The last possible solution is using Hexeditor to edit the TOT file. This is quite tricky you may need to look for post here on how to edit TOT file.

Just the TOT. You need to download the original TOT file of LG F350L then you need to edit it using Hexeditor to make it D838 then flash it. The problem is that when you attempted to install D838 firmware it already re-write your phone model to D838 that is why it is no longer recognize as F350. You can try following the steps here. If that doesn't work, try to download the TOT file for D838 and use that to flash on your device since the TOT for F350 no longer works for you. By the way if you download the TOT for D838 check first and get the correct one for your phone if it is for 16GB or 32GB model. I think for F350L it is a 32GB model.

Mohsin yara i hav downloaded almost every version of board diag..but i cnt see g pro 2 in any version..im going to use g2 as chipset..hope it will work...any sugestion?

different people have developed support for different models the one i shared contains file for g pro 2 but they demand some credit before i can download

I m backed wth new problm..i got my phone working...used for 1 day..tried to hard reset..new era of problms brgun....phone brick ho gaya...kdz tot flash karny k bad..phon on ho jata hy..factory reseting ka screen ajata hy ..phone reboot hojata hy lg logo ajata hy..pher reboot or lg rrseting screen...it goes on

I have a rooted 996 zv8 and zv5 imgs.... Could I just run the emmc tool against them? I think I may have a zv8 stock somewhere.... I've downloaded over 100gbs this last weekend trying to find a way out of 9008 mde

Without the firehouse programmer and tot it cannot be fixed...
Dumping partitions to SD doesnt fix problem..
Best is claim warranty under LG...
