I've been looking to purchase a Gear S2 for awhile now and I've done some research but I noticed one thing that I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.
I've seen the back of S2's and usually they look like this:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But I've also seen a couple like this:
I haven't seen the 'BC' in a circle before and I was just wondering if they're still legitimate Gear S2's. If anyone could help me out, that'd be wonderful.
Also, I've seen some chargers that have 'NOM' and 'NYCE' written on the body. Not sure if that's for other countries or not.
Thank you.
The back on mine looks like the lower pic is a Verizon 3g model
I have the T-Mobile 4g version and its the lower pic also that has BC on it

I did search the forums.. I know this is an ongoing and well known issue with the phone. But as of 11/16/2011 are there any new radio/kernels/etc that can help? The reception is way worse than my old Evo and my wife's Epic in the same locations. Lots of time the phone just behaves bad because it can't obtain a signal. There may be not be a software solution, it is just such a shame because the phone is 90% awesome. Any new developements?

Maybe you have a defective phone. With the same radio you are using I get as good or better receptions than the 2 evos in the house.

Thanks for the data point! I was wondering it was my handset...
Maybe when ICS come out, I will unroot, revert to stock, go to Sprint store and complain, and maybe they will swap my handset.
I crushed my 9020t and the screen was broken. Then I bought a new screen.BUt here is the problem. I show you in attachments

Where did you get the screen and how much was it? My NS4G screen is cracked and it's driving me crazy.
Sorry I can't offer any advice on your issue.

Did you get the AMOLED screen? Not even sure if the slcd would work but just a thought.
You can try to search it from ebay.I bought it from a chinese website named taobao.
Yes. It is super amoled I'm sure.
Is it made in china?(all pun intended) you should prolly get that checked by Samsung :/ i don't think it's a Sw problem

Ya I noticed this after an app update from OP on the play store. It's really dumb and annoying and I can't figure out how to turn it off
It's not related to the unlock though
I actually like it. I first used it on my S20 Ultra. Only for one bot, the BestBuy Deal of the day Bot. I was pretty stoked when my new OP8 had it actually. Yeah, I am probably the only on XDA that would use it but hey, it works me.
I noted something now that you brought this up. I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile. AT&T has a lot more providers than T-Mo!
I apologize if this has already been addressed, I have searched and have not found this anywhere or the information I am looking for.
I purchased a phone of ebay called a LG V50 model V500VM also called Verizon. This phone has the 3 pogo pins on the back of it, which I
believe the "official" Verizon phone did not have. I have updated the verizon software via OTA and had no issues.
I picked up a second screen case with 3 pogo pins as well hoping they would somehow function together, which they are not.
What can I do to make them work together?
Thanks for any help or suggestions, I would like to make this work somehow.
I have also attached a picture of the case and phone backs below.

Anyone? No bone to toss my way?
I bought the Galaxy S21 in the US and was very disappointed to find out that it had limited functionality than variants sold elsewhere (like dual sim and built-in call recording). Is there a way to replace the US version of the phone app with the non-US version so that I can have call recording functionality?
Left: US Phone app
Right: Non-US Phone app

Welcome to XDA
An interesting question. Was thinking the same thing if it was possible on a stock Samsung.
Thinking about but no plans of doing... the stock apk is a little glitchy but overall works well and consumes little battery.
Switching to dark mode be an improvement for you. You can also easily change its appearance with free Galaxy Store themes.
What issues are you experiencing?
