After months of searching for an iOS10 emoji font without success I have decided to make one from the Android 7.1.1 font file. This font has all Unicode 9 Emojis + Gender modifiers. If anyone would like to contribute to the project I'd be more than happy to welcome that.
UPDATE: Apple has now officially released Unicode 9 support!
Current Bugs:
Gender emojis don't appear in keyboard provided. This could be an OS issue.
Now, onto the instructions
Back up any existing NotoColorEmoji.ttf and or SamsungColorEmoji.ttf files that are located in the /system/font directory.
Download the font file from below. If the link doesn't work let me know and I will help you in any way I can.
Copy the NotoColorEmoji.ttf file from your download folder and paste it into the /System/fonts folder. Apply the permissions rw-r-r
Reboot your device as you would with any system change.
Enjoy!!
To confirm that you have the emojis installed, look at the emojis below. If they show up as boxes you did something wrong.

Google Keyboard With Gender Emojis (ARM64 devices only): http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...01114-preload-arm64-v8a-android-apk-download/
NEW!
I have created a Twemoji font for those who prefer them over IOS!
You can download that here

Mind posting a screenshot?

I'm using the latest version of Google Keyboard (from the first post), and there is no gender selector. I've tested it by open the emojipedia page, the standard of gender emoji is female (from your emoji it was male), and if you want the male emoji you have to merge the standard with the gender symbol.
Edit: and I was also trying to copy and paste the emojis from Telegram to Keep, the female emojis didn't show.

Go to your settings and clear the data for Google keyboard and set it up again. This should get the selector to appear when you long press. I'll make female default to better match Apple ☺

Sorry about that. I'll work on finding the problem and fix it. For now I have another build compiling that should fix a few issues

New build on the way!

New build! OP link has been updated or you can download it here :highfive:

I cannot get the gender to pop up. I am using given keyboard you suggested. I have cleared cache and data but still no luck. Is there something else that is needed to be done? Besides that everything else is good.

I'm not sure what's causing this. It could be a problem with recompiling the ttf with EmojiTools. I'll look into it. If you haven't already, try the new one I just posted and see if that makes a difference

I did and it's still not working. I wonder if it has anything to do with being on 7.1? Might be some code missing...

Ah that could be a problem! The keyboard is designed to be used on 7.1.1 ARM64 devices so maybe it doesn't work on devices with an OS older than that. I guess we will have to see if the problem occurs when they release it to the play store. Until then I'll keep trying to find a fix!

Nice work regardless. One tiny request if its not too much trouble. They seem kind of small compared to one I was using before, is there anyway of making them a tad bit bigger?

I'll make a 160x160 and a 142x142 variant ?

Awesome job. From your experience, which has more emoji? iOS 10 or android 7.1 1?

Thank you so much. Now the female character works perfect from the latest build. But the gender selector still didn't work (and also the profession emoji didn't show in the Google keyboard), maybe it's because I'm using RR Marshmallow ROM. Great job!

So I have been thinking about how to write, how to install instructions. Some people can just extract the flashable zip folder, while others (myself included) have to flash it.
INSTALLYou can try one of two ways......... Extract the zip file, go to the sub folder /system/app, and install the "LatinIME.apk; or reboot into recovery and flash the zip file. Also, after I flashed the first time.... I wanted to delete it. So, I used adb commands. Now I can just install from memory card. I think once you get the file located in /system/lib in to /system/lib on the phone..... you can just delete the keyboard using adb commands, then just install from sd
CREDIT for the port goes to invisiblek. I have made the vibration stronger and fix the & key every where it is neeeded to be fixed. Also i have to thank zack.xtr for helping me with the 2.1 version. With his help I could do it by myself this time around. O yeah, I have to say thank you to bmtdan for pointing me to zack.xtr's post.
Even though it shows ". ," on the period key, it will NOT make a comma on a double tap. I had updates some xml documents, to see if they controlled this behavior. Turns out they only control what was displayed on the key.

I'm setting this up different. I'm going to have the main version then if that version has a hitchhikers version..... Just list it under it. thought more people would like Hitchhikers version, but numbers don't lie. IF anyone can help me find an Android icon (with a white outline around him), I will make an Android "Hitchhikers"version would look sweet.Best size would be 48x48 to 50x50.
With the Hitch Hiker keyboards, when you press "alt" Marvin's eyes will change colors. Settings key looks better then the picture

REQUEST FORM
If you want one made for you, I need this info:
None pressed key color
alt key etc color (of the keys like alt, settings/symbols, smiley/go/next/etc key)
dot for alt lock color
pop up key color
letter color
suggestion bar color I think, from doing them custom colors..... it's better left untouched. But, if you insist.. I will
suggestion bar letter colors-one for recommended word and for regular word
if you want any fading of the colors let me know or blending of 2 colors
also, if you need a flashable zip or if an .apk will do.
NEW I'm finding some good icons for a lot of stuff,so want one.......... ask for one (football team, baseketball team, baseball team, etc....) would help if you provided it. But if I can find one, I will do it
Last thing lol......... For requested themes, they will be scattered through out this thread. Since a personal one I made for you it will have its own post, lost in the thread lol.
donations will NOT be accepted, and I am doing this for you. So, please don't try to rush me out of my procrastination! Also please wait untill I release it and don't ask for eta.

any one who tries to flash blackmtkb-signed.zip.......... let me know if it is successful. I deleted LatinIME.apk from /system/app, and when I flashed blackmtkb-signed.zip it failed. So I think when I deleted it from /system/app it didn't allow it to flash
Looks great and I want to try it. But if I install the apk (don't flash) will it re-write the default Android Keyboard?
I flashed a zip in a previous thread and had to restore a nandroid cause I want the option of the default Android or this.

Thanks enragedpaza for the latest skinned version of this keyboard. I just got the bRED theme keyboard and it looks nice. The one thing i noticed when using Handcent and double-tapping the ".," key I don't get a comma when double-tapping. Not sure if anyone else is seeing this when using version.

Enjoy keyboard theme collections for your Android phone
There are two versions now. One is the stand alone keyboard which doesn't replace your current keyboard.
The second version is flashable and it includes VOICE SEARCH! This one will replace your current keyboard. It is tested on Gingerbread and Froyo.
You can manually backup your keyboard apk via adb if you are confident what you are doing or I recommend a complete nandroid backup to make your life easier
Please read the new INSTRUCTIONS via the link provided

The Facebook mod is really excellent but the (orange keyboard) is really funky. It's squashed down at the bottom of the screen (like the bottom 1/8) in landscape & the portrait is even worse as besides being squashed it also use the same layout as the landscape.

I' using a flashable Gingerbread keyboard I got somewhere here on XDA. I've been playing with trying to change the letters to orange but haven't figured out what need to be changed yet. This is my first android phone & there is a lot to learn. BTW your theming guides have been really helpful too.

Thanks, worked like a charm on my S4 GPE!
Using hangouts texts I recieve/send now have iOS style. Unfortunately the emoticon picker doesn't, but it must have its own built in library i guess.

Love to see this working so well
Any chance of being able to add emoji
Specifically "U + 1F595" or is this a keyboard thing.
.
Anyways great work

Meh they have a flashable one for ios. You could make the other two as well dont need busybox to flash em only plus side c;
But its a great idea would be better if it was like toolbox pro where you can change them and just reboot. But i dont see a point in installing busybox c:

Downloaded this app just now and it works perfectly for me on nexus 5 PAC-rom. I love it.!
But I noticed the large app size (42.49MB) and considering the fact that more emoji packs might possibly be added in future updates making the size larger. I want to suggest that the APK and emoji packs are splitted. Emoji packs can then be downloaded inidvidually after app installation.
I hope there would be a preview of each emoji pack (even if its just an image) in future updates and am looking forward to HTC's emoji pack.
Thanks a lot!
Downloaded a font file for iOS emojis somewhere from xda. Worked perfectly, however, the flags wouldn't show. OP said it was a problem with android or something and it perceived the flags as two different characters. Your iOS emoji flags working, or do you face the same problem?
EDIT: Oops. I think I posted in the wrong forum. I'll post this in the original forum where the fonts were posted. Sorry.
Works perfect on my Pac ROM !
Thanks! ??

Hi guys, I've been working really hard on an s5 Rom port lately. Doing so I came up with the idea to theme the new Android L Keyboard so that it fits better within the S5 System.
I hope that I'm allowed to share this on XDA. I've done the theme myself but of course the app belongs to Google.
I hope you like it.
My previous version had some problems due to a bug in APKTOOL. Now thanks to a lot of research and the kind help of @Shaftamle I've fixed those problems. Also, instead of using Shen Ye's Android L keyboard I used the latest build from the L preview.
I used some smali mods from Shen's app though to make my theme set by default.

V1.0

Number row with a much slimmer implementation than other mods
S5 Material theme
Removed the annoying fullscreen mode
Much slimmer design (smaller gaps between the rows)
Easy installation due to included libs in the apk
Installation:
Remove any existing Google Keyboard installations, if any
Install the apk (must have allowed "unknown sources")
Leave a thanks
As already stated, this also features a number row(as per user request), which I borrowed from other modders. The big change I made though, which took me a really long time to figure out, was to make the row much smaller, fontsize-wise. It's much prettier to look at and less bulky compared to the other mods now. If any other devs want to copy this addition, feel free to do so. Just don't forget to credit me
I also wanted to add secondary symbols to it, but decided not to do so because of the required amount of smali edits. It would require hours and hours of work to get it working...
I really hope that you'll appreciate this keyboard. I probably won't continue to work on it. I will however update it once Google releases the final version.
It works on all android devices supporting the normal L keyboard.
If you plan on using this in any ROM or use my edits, please ask for permission first. And please do also consider donating if you like this keyboard , I've spent quite a long time on perfecting it.
Have fun!
Looking foreward to the V17 Is your new keyboard in the V17?
Does the keyboard learn from writing, like SwiftKey and such?
Kind regards
HeThomsen

Install as normal apk. But you can't have any other material keyboard installed of course (well if the manifest is the same, which I don't think it is).
I am unable to get it to stop force closing on my Verizon s5

As I stated above, you have to keep trying to write something. And always click ok on every FC. You'll have to do this 10 times maybe before it finally works. Once it's working it won't ever happen again.
Can't get it to work. Got through like 50 FCs and still just FCs. Lol

If you really are taping on a text field and not just waiting for them to come, then I can't help you ;(.
Anyway, I am working on a fix. But somehow this apk behaves differently from all others I've ever themed...
My new theme will work with xposed instead. And will work 100%.

Sorry to hear that, it works for me and a lot of my friends. I can't answer why it doesn't for you. But well...
It will however work with xposed. And maybe even as a normal apk. There's a bug with the decompiler that causes this I think. I've asked other google keyb themers if they could help me fix it. There are some information being lost after I decompile the keyboard..
I hope they'll answer me. If they don't I'll program an xposed module.
I'm also theming some other apps aswell to feel more s5 like. And they all work at the first try lol. I think I will share them too. Although not to many have even responded on this one.

I actually dont think it's even possible for that to happen. Anyway I'm getting help from a Google Keyboard pro now so maybe a fixed Version will Show up soon.
After finding the fix, maybe you can add number row too in future versions?

[BACKPORT][6.0.1+] Pixel Launcher P-4275643 from Google Pixel 2

Pixel Launcher P-4275643 Backport for Android 6.0.1+

So... Here we are again, the title says it all.
This is a quick (I spent 3 hours on it) backport of the Pixel Launcher P-4275643, extracted from the Pixel 2 images. I'ved tested it on my SHIELD Tablet, and as it wasn't working, I modded it so that it'd work just fine on any Android 6.0.1+ devices.
I have implemented the Google's signature verification patch, as according to this thread so that the application doesn't Force Close on launch, as well as all the goodies from the Pixel Launcher OMR1-4113793 v4 backport.
I've tested the application in my SHIELD Tablet running official LineageOS 13.0 nightlies, as well as in my Wileyfox Swift 2 with Android 7.1.2, and seems to be working like a charm when there's no substratum overlays enabled with latest Google Play Services installed.
However, like last time I'd like to roll call all of you to please, test it and report back with any issue you find.

- The background color of the App Drawer won't look blue in Samsung devices, like last times, as I fixed it to look white.
- The apk, like last time, has been signed with my own key, so uninstall any previous versions before installing this one
- Bloggers! YouTubers! If you post links to this backport PLEASE, be sure NOT to make mirrors of it, and, it'd be awesome if you mentioned the original author in your blog posts.
- ¡Bloggeros! ¡YouTubers! Si posteais enlaces de éste backport, POR FAVOR, NO lo resubais, y, estaría genial si mencionárais quién es el autor del mismo.
- Do you want to get Android O emojis? Check this out.
- No, still no reflection.engine crashes

Special thanks to P4Block for having to hear me screaming when the code doesn't work, and Jose (in case you read this, <3)
First of all, thanks for the port!! Finally it works for Android 6 ??
I tried in my Blackview R6 (Mediatek chip), and it works good, but sometimes, the launcher crashes doing actions like making a folder in the main screen.
But I'm sure next updates will solve this problem (or maybe it's just me ??).... Thanks so much!

Thanks for your kind comment.
I know why this happens (notice that it only crashes when the pop-up menu that handles the DeepLinks hasn't fully opened yet), and I'm already working on bringing a fix to it.
Please, be patient!
Thank you very much, was waiting for someone to fix the blue folder background on Samsung devices.
Only thing that doesn't work is the weather at the top (and yes, I enabled location permissions).

I supposed it was my device's fault since I don't have the Google app installed. But, it's probably related to this:

Im having the same exact issue on my LG G Stylo. The clock widget looks like yours missing the time and date. I have stock 6.0 for android and funny enough the version made for 7.0+ works fine but also has the same issue with the click widget. I also notice in both that one the app tray is flicked open, smoothness goes out the door.. pretty choppy. I read in the other forum people with the Galaxy S8 were getting some choppy animations with the app tray open.
Found a bug: in my home screen, if I click an app icon and move it immediately (before the vibration, indicating that I'm moving that app), I return to my previously used launcher and that designation of my default launcher gets reset. Also no Google Now
Otherwise, it's working well.
I'm using Redmi Note 4 MTK, Android 6. Thanks for developing such a lightweight launcher
It lookzs good with navigation bar but the opposite without navbar (looks ugly to me).
Btw, still i appreciate ur work dude, keep it up.
