[Q] How to add more homescreen on Pixel Launcher without create a shortcut? - Nexus 5 - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all.
This is my first thread, so sorry if I mistake something. My question is like the title says. I want to add one (or more) home screen without the necessity to add shortcuts or widgets, just the screen. The motive? For a clean view of my wallpaper, among other (stranger) things. So, is it possible?
I'm on a Nexus 5, using the Santosh M ROM 7.1.0 with Pixel Launcher and Google Assistant enable. No mods or anything else, all stock and no root (but can apply if it's necessary).
Thanks in advance!!!

[Q] Oxygen RC6 & Zeam Launcher

Hello all,
Just got Oxygen RC6 installed on my Desire which comes pre-installed Zeam Launcher.
I got a couple of questions if anyone can help me,
1. Is there any way to uninstall Zeam Launcher and get the default back (if there is any default)?
2. Is there any way to change the dock icons? As I've seen in many snapshots of users in the forums, the apps icons on the dock bar (i.e. Messaging, Gmail and so on) are different. Are these customizable and if so how?
Thank you in advance.

[Q] Change icons?

Hello all,
New Galaxy S2 user here. Coming from a line of exclusively HTC Sense phones and ROMs.
I'm wondering if it's possible (and easy) to change the icons for default apps in CM9 or TW based ROMs? Specifically the "Messaging" icon - I hate the "smiley" face. Makes me feel 12 years old again.
I've done a few searches, but I'm not looking to replace the entire icon set or the ROM or theme... just one icon.

Are you talking about the app mms icon or the emoticon pack from what sound like it's the mms icon

The hard way is to download the apk, open it up, replace the images with the ones you want, repackage it, and reinstall it. The easy way is to use a launcher that allows you to change the icon. I know Apex and Nova do, not sure about any others.

Also check out "Desktop Visualizer" in the market .
But as already mentioned ....the different launchers are the best & easiest way.
Holo launcher is another one.
Good Luck.

Go Launcher as well. Go, Nova, and Apex have the ability to use icon sets made for each other.
Hmmm... going to an entirely different launcher seems like overkill, but I guess if it works...
There used to be apps on the Market that would allow you to create shortcuts with different icons (BetterCut comes to mind, but the dev pulled it from the Market entirely).
If you don't want a new launcher, try Desktop Visualizer (though I have yet to figure out how to get it to use an existing icon pack). There are a lot of options in it and it's a great program.

(Q) - Lockscreen widgets. How?

Hey guys, iam no novice to Android, did a ton of modding/theming/flashing on my MDK s4, and my s3 before that. But for some reason I can't put my own widgets on the lockscreen.
Yes, in security settings I have multiple widgets enabled. But for some reason I can't remove the stock widget and add my own. It's super frustrating. Normally I use Apex launcher but iam sticking with blinkfeed for the moment. So so I need to use a different launcher to get my own widgets? Or is there some other trick? All I want is to use dash clock as my lock screen widget, then poweramp and my news apps to the right. Thanks.

Lockscreen & Homescreen

Hey guys. I want to set a different lockscreen but I don't see any option for doing such. The lockscreen always remains the same as the homescreen. I would like to set adifferent picture as my lockscreen. Can you suggest any ways to this? I have root access on my Moto G3
Are you running a CM based rom? Also in the latest version of Google Now Launcher you can change it

i suppose what you are saying is about..
Keeping Two different wallpapers for LOCKSCREEN and HOMESCREEN ( like lumia, Mi devices) isnt it??
IF yes, do one thing.. install a LOCKSCREEN from playstore.. give it notification access and device permissions so that it can work as your Default Lock screen, and Disable real lockscreen present on your phone..
if the lockscreen allows you to keep wallpaper, then keep it ..

Pixel 2 Launcher - remove shortcut symbol?

Hello everyone!
I recently got the Google Pixel (first generation) and installed the latest Pixel 2 Launcher on it.
But since some icons looked out of place, I used the app "Awesome Icons" to change them and now I get a weird shortcut symbol next to the actual icon, that shows from which app the shortcut comes from.
I made a screenshot so you guys know what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/VmZl3
Is there any way to turn that off? Thanks for your help in advance!
Kind regards,
Jonny

That's default Oreo behavior. Try to use an icon pack instead of an app if you want your icons different.
Unfortunately pixel launcher doesn't support icon packs, maybe try another launcher if u want.
Cheers
