Hey guys I would be forever in your debt if I could get a couple of your files. I really need in System/build.prop and all files in System/csc
I am trying to create a data file for a sprint note 7 rom for a note 4. but I need to compare a real stock file from a note 7 from sprint. all the files on the net are from chinese variants.
I really really need others.xml and build.prop asap if anyone can send them to me. I would be forever in your debt.
FYI these files do not include any personal information. just settings of your phone. and no root is required to copy them.

Help Please!
I've been trying desperately for a while now to change the name of my service provider in my banner and lockscreen and I think I'm almost done but, I have one problem!
To change my Service provider name I took a copied version of my eri.xml file off my phone and changed it from "MetroPCS" to "AndroJordan" using HexEditor. Ok, so far so good. but then after putting the new banner eri.xml file back onto my phone I wasnt able to use it to replace the old one.
How do I delete the original eri.xml file so that I can put the new one in? Or better yet, how do I access my phone's system files through my computer? Everytime I connect my phone to my PC, I can only access what is on the SD Card.
When I try to delete the original eri.xml file through Astro File Manager on my phone it just gives me an error message saying that it was unable to delete the file.
Someone please help me! I really just need to know how to access my phone's system files so that I may move/delete files
Guys,
I just made the move from a 3GS to the Galaxy 4G, and need to install 2 custom fonts, that i created, on the phone.
On the iphone, i was able to add the files to the fonts folder, and change an XML file to make it work...how do i do that on this phone?
Thanks.
Anyone???
I managed to add my font files to the font folder, on the phone...fonts are still not showing up right. What do i need to do to have the phone recognize the new installed files?
Am i posting in the wrong forum?
What i am asking is impossible to do??
No one around here wants to help???
I'd like to help, but I have no idea how.
A quick Google search found this, though.
Hi All,
I have a SamsungAce3 with some carriers boot animation.
I would change it back to the stock one.
Can anyone share with me these files :"samsungboot.qmg" and "samsungloop.qmg"
I need the original non carrier branded version.
Thanks
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7275T generic qmg files
Attached, worked fine changing my Telstra 7275 to generic. I had to rename them to get them to upload to the forum, so just change the extension to .qmg. These came from a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7275T, and I have successfully put them on my Telstra version, the GT-S7275Y. I can't guarantee that it will work for you, so no warranty, sorry.
Any problems PM me. Your phone will need to be rooted to allow you to put these in, if using ADB be sure to delete the old files, change the folder permissions, then push the new files.
And be sure to double check the files are there and valid (double check you renamed them to .qmg) before rebooting your phone. I can't help you if you brick it, sorry.

Thanks,
I will try out today ...
Everything went smoothly, "T" branding gone! So thank you!
Note to anybody else trying this the files "samsungboot.qmg", "samsungloop.qmg" and "shutdown.qmg" go in the system/media folder. A second copy of the "shutdown.qmg" file needs to go in the system/media/video/shutdown folder if it exists. This depends on the customisation by your phones provider, mine was Telstra Australia and the second copy was necessary on mine.
i have a galaxy s7 g930f with android 6.0.1
i would prefer not rooting it if at all possible.
is there any way to view the /data/misc/ folder and all files in this folder.
i dont need to remove, or edit any file, i just need to see them and the data contained in the files. is it at all possible without a root?
You cannot do that without having your device rooted, as the file permissions won't allow you to list contents there.
