Hi, new to the forum and 3rd party Android firmware. I'm looking to put cyanogenmod on an old device. I've ran into a few hiccups in the process. So as I'm figuring this out, I'm wondering if one of my issues is because Republic blocks unlocking. And suggestions on how to approach this?
Right now, I have my device in fastboot mode, adb and fastboot, are good to work with my terminal, and I'm looking into TWRP.
Thank you

So I unlocked the bootloader of my MOTO G2 and successfully installed custom ROMs but I wiped all data using the TWRP recovery and that wiped off the OS from my phone too, leading to a bricked device. There was no OS on my phone and no SD card support so I couldn't copy a ROM over to the phone. I tried the ADB method but it didn't work, I think because the drivers don't support Windows 10. I tried everything but no luck so I gave my phone to a local service shop and they fixed it but locked my bootloader. Is it possible to unlock the bootloader twice using the same method, that is, by acquiring the unique unlock code for Moto G2 from Motorola site OR using the unique code that I got earlier? I am curious to know because I cannot find it out myself until I retrieve my phone.
Thank you so much guys.

Hi guys,
I think I messed up my phone big time. I had problems with turning on wlan, so I tried Rebooting and Factory Reset but without success. Next I wanted to reinstall android via TWRP like I would do it with my PC. Now I have a Phone with an empty internal SD Card, locked bootloader and no idea how to fix it.
The PC Companion or any other program does not recognize my phone.
Is there any way to install Android again with a locked bootloader or can I unlock the bootloader without android?
Hopefully anyone knows a solution and I do not need to buy a new phone.
Thanks in advance!

Hi. I'm trying to find out the simplest way of discovering if a particular Samsung phone has a locked bootloader without attempting to flash a custom kernel and seeing if it's successful. It's a Galaxy S7 Edge. I was going to use the fastboot oem device-info command in bootloader mode, but I can't for the life of me get the fastboot command to see the device, despite the fact it sees my other phones and devices. I have the latest Samsung drivers installed.
Can anyone help? I don't want to return the phone to Vodafone UK, but I refuse to keep a device for this much money that can't be rooted. I was wondering if anyone was aware of an application that will indicate one way or another.
Just to say, I've already got a thread in the S7 Edge forum, but no one has been able to help.

hi noob here
I have a m9 on voda uk, it was a second hand purchase, I was doing a update when prompted through the phone and it froze half way through, I restarted the phone and all it did was boot into boot loader and download mode, i took it to a local phone shop who managed to put a rom on it, this rom would not update, so before I started to mess around i rooted the phone, unlocked it and applied sunshine so it now has S-Off, the problem is i cannot get a rom to install, help please.

I bought a LGL43AL tracphone. I tried to root it with several root apps and PC programs. I was finally able to root it with Kingo Root via PC. However, When I tried to run SuperSU I get a message "There is no SU binary installed and Super SU cannot install it. This is a problem!". Also, when I reboot my phone, it becomes unrooted. After trying many things, I have come to the conclusion that my bootloader is locked. On this phone, recovery is merely to reset to factory mode. There are no other options. I did find a tutorial on how to unlock European lg tracfones by getting a code. I am in the US and was leary to try it. Which led me here to get some advice. Any help or suggestions would be great.
