I just let my TF300T run out of battery... And now, after charging it for several hours, I can not switch it on... Nothing happens when I press the power button and when I remove the charging cable and put it back, still no response (I would expect to see the battery image on the screen.)
Does anyone know if this is normal or does the TF300T not survive being totally discharged?
Regards,
BTJ
I've seen this issue with the TF101 before. You should be ok. I believe the resolution was to hold down the power button for 10-20 secs and it should turn on. If not, you will have to charge it for several more hours before it will wake up. According to the manual, minimal charge time is 8 hours for a full charge.
I had to let mine charge for an hour before it would come on

Holding the power button for 10-12 seconds made it start... Thx...
Not sure why they have made this feature though...

Yes, but this only happens when one runs out of battery... But not a big deal, as long as one knows about it...

Hey Guys,
Last time my HTC Desire S random shuts down with enough battery percentage.
When i reboot my phone says he has left 1% battery and automaticly shuts off.
I am running 10,1-CM-Andromadus-SAGA-22.
It's is getting annoying. Never had problems with this rom version.
When i put it on flight mode there is no problem.
When the phone is on a charger he will stay on.
Can someone help me?
Thx
Its possible that your battery might be on the verge going kaput. In flight mode, the phone is not consuming a lot of power so it will last a while. Just take your battery out and see if it is bulging out on the surface. If it is, then it is definitely on the edge and needs to be replaced.
According to Motorola Mobility, the solution to a fully discharged battery not restarting is to plug it in to charger and press & hold the power button for 18+ seconds, when the battery should resume charging.
how long to discharge it ?
how u discharge it ? just leave the phone for whole day without plug the charger ?

What is the expected behaviour for charging a unit with a deep discharged battery?
Immediately after plugging in a charger the white notification LED will turn on. This LED will turn off, when the battery is charged to a sufficient level to power the display (could take up to 10 minutes before the display turns on). Tapping on the power key will wake up the display and the phone will display the "lightning bolt" icon over the battery meter. The display will time out, but charging will continue. Phone should remained plugged in (at idle) for up to 5 hours for a full charge. It will take longer, if phone is in use.
Thanks. can boot on already.. :good::good:

if nothing else works just plug the phone to a charger and hold the power button for at least 2-3minutes. the white led should blink a few times. after that leave it charging for an hour and than turn it on by pressing the power button.
this was the only thing that worked for me.
Fixed
Faced the same problem, the phone had ran out of charge completely and and switched off. Plugged it in to the wall charger but that wasnt of any help. Connected to my laptop and same result!! Wont Charge! Held the power button for about 2-3 minutes and the LED flickered 2-3 times and the 0% Battery screen showed up. Showing the same screen at the moment. Hopefully its charging.

Thank you for this advice - I followed it and it worked. I had my Moto G plugged in for hours prior to trying this with no success.
When you press the power button, 18 seconds probably won't be long enough so keep holding the power button. I had to hold the button for around 3 to 4 minutes but it worked eventually.
It Works!! Thanks!!!

Oh!!! I almost got a heart attack I guess . Because, Moto-G was the only smart phone that never gave me any trouble. Even my Samsung Galaxy 3 LTE gave a lot of headaches . When this acted dead, I was really upset. Your solution worked fine I guess. Screen just appeared. Still on 0%, but apparently it is charging now.
Thanks Karan. Your solution is the best. Costs nothing
I had the same problem, but at least for me the above trick didn´t work. The phone simple dind´t boot, or display any notification light.
I left the phone over night at the charcher and nothing... Tried multiple chargers, computer ports, laptop ports, etc etc, and still nothing...
Then I went and read online a little bit more about lithium ion batteries and found out that the trick is to let the phone of the charger for a couple of hours (for me was about 5 hours) and then the phone will reconized the phone.
Hope this helps someone in the same situation. (If the press and hold trick dind't work).
Worked !
I bought moto g yesterday ,I faced the same problem which scared the hell out of me! But after power key for longer time ,now the 0%
battery is displayed ! Damn relief ! Hope it's charging now !:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Moto G dead after deep discharge
Hi, my first generation moto g is dead. Continuous notification lights get on when I plug the charger. Please note that notification light is neither blinking nor getting off. Tried everything which is mentioned here but no luck so far.
Please help.

I had same problem - when the charger was plugged in the notification light shone continuously. I fixed this by opening the set, removing the battery (there are nice videos explaining this in youtube) and recharging it using external charger in a repair shop. Once it was charged for about an hour, plugged it back in, was able to boot normally and charge it normally.
However, since this incident, I have found that the battery life has decreased drastically. I now only have 8 hours of battery life after full recharge, even when I put the phone to sleep. For instance, if I charge the phone to 100% before going to sleep, the battery is down to 30% when I wake up!
Has anybody had this problem?
My Moto G2, when plugged in powersocket, keeps on rebooting from Moto logo screen, but when plugged in USB port of computer can get to fastboot menu and shows battery charging but removing it shows zero. and it does turn on by factory mode and shows the lighting bolt of charging, but is not getting charged. also phone testing menu by *#*#4636#*#* shows battery health is good, but is not charging. can any one help.

Hey guys. I always restart my phone before I go to bed, and I never charge it overnight. I just charge it the 1,5 hrs I have before I leave the house in the morning.
Usually this works fine, but this morning the phone was very hot. Very very hot. I've never held a so hot handset before. I had to hold down power and volume to even get it on.
It went from 60-ish to 27% overnight and as you can see from the screenshot, there's a hole in the graph, with no apps apparently being logged as consumers overnight.
Anyone got any ideas about this?

might want to do a full charge and see if problem persists. meaning 0-100%
1. Clear all app in task manager. Restart phone sometimes.
2. To force phone shutdown, press both Power button + Volume up button at same time.
Hi everybody,
I have a Moto G7 Power that fell screen down on the ground at 45 km/h. This was 2 years ago. At the time I just bought a new phone. Yesterday I put a new screen in my Moto G7 Power. The screen is aftermarket but seems of good quality.
I remember being able to go for almost a week on this phone with a single charge. It had a screen on time of 12+ hours, really amazing. Now it burns about 50% of the battery in 2 hours. This is still not bad, considering the phone has been stored in a box for 2 years. My question to you is, will buying a new battery fix this?
Could it be that the aftermarket screen is draining my power? I actuall highly doubt it. Would buying a new battery grant me 12+ screen-on-time once again?
Li's start to degrade as soon as they are assembled. A high charge state and high temperatures will accelerate this process.
Likely it just needs a new battery.
However any impact that can cracked the display could potentially damage the mobo. Replace the battery and see what you got.
Hi blackhawk, thank you for your response. I was about to order a new battery, when suddenly..
I first installed lineage 18.1 (had a very annoying bug) and then 17.1. I put the performance profile to Power save. Then I turned on Extreme power saver. I left the screen on for 8 hours and it went from 86% to 26%. While I would get these screen on times without power saver 3 years ago this is absolutely astonishing after all these years.
Btw, sometimes when I press the screen anywhere in the middle, the notification bar is dragged down automatically to where I touch the screen. I then have to turn off the screen and turn it back on again to fix the issue. I had this problem in all the software versions I tried so I guess this is a problem of the cheap aftermarket screen I bought. Still, very much satisfied with the result.

You're welcome.
If the battery's capacity has diminished past 80% of its new capacity, replace it.
It's simply not worth the inconvenience and potential trouble a degraded battery will cause.
Who knows maybe the hard reset of replacing the battery will solve the notification bar issue
