Hello all,
I use ClingyDownload manager to download a large file on my A9. However the file went into a folder /data/user/0/bg.proxies.clingydownload/files/ and it is absolutely not possible for me to reach this location either via the built-in File Manager or using ES File Explorer. Since the file is quite huge (4Gigs) it is eating valuable space on the not-so-big internal memory. Any advice how I could erase that file?
Thanks!

basically, i transferred a bootanimation.zip file to the evo by dropbox. went to use astro file manager to delete the one on the device, and copy/move (tried both), and it just didnt work.
so is there a file manager that is known to be able to handle system files??
I haven't had any problems manging any files with estrongs file explorer
Did you mount /system as read/write first? Doesn't sound like it.
Root explorer is about as good as it gets. Cheap but not free
ive downloaded some ringtones/notifications and they automatically show up in the respective fields when going to select them as such, but for the life of me i cannot find them anywhere on the phones internal and external memory (i want to delete the ones i dont like). i have a folder setup on my sd card for such items. i know on my desire everything i downloaded showed up in a download folder on my sd card but with the mesmerize only pictures that i download show up there. i've tried locating them with root explorer and file manager but not having any luck. any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated

If you downloaded them from your phone onto your phone, they'll be in your download folder on your sdcard. If it was from an app, that app might have made a folder on your sd card, titanium backup made one on mine.
I know that's where they should go but if I download from myxer.com it automatically goes into the ringtones/notifications under settings and yesterday when I unzip a file that contained sounds it did the same thing. I can't find them in my system memory in the audio folder or on my SD cards audio folder.
try looking in sdcard/media/audio/(ringtones/alarms/notifications)
/system/media/audio
is the location of the default sounds
You could also try running a search like *.mp3 or *.ogg
Tried looking every where I could think of and suggested I even tried searching for then, still no luck locating them. If all else fails I'm just going to do a factory reset just to rid myself of this annoyance.
hi, im having problems deleting a folder in my internal storage.
my phone is Lenovo A328, stock rom, rooted, and running on kitkat.
i didn't do any tweaking on my phone besides rooting.
i noticed while browsing my internal folders, in Android/data there is a folder named "com.com2us.soulcollector.normal...." 16.74mb in size.
it's from the game soul seeker, and i've already uninstalled the game, i tried to delete it but cant be deleted.
here's what ive done so far:
-i used other browsing apps like root explorer and root browser
-renamed the folder and delete, but can't
-moved the folder to other location in internal (cant move to external), still cant delete
-downloaded the game again and made sure the folder name and location is the same. then uninstalled the game, still the folder is there.
-edit the permission but cant.
-reboot device
-clean junk files using clean master
i dont want to restore or reformat my device. its a pain trying to download and reinstall again all my apps.
please help!

Try remounting /data as RW.
So, if you're using ES Explorer, open menu, inside Tools, click on Root Explorer.
Then click Mount R/W. And mount all partitions as RW.
This may help

Hi,
Everytime I clean install my phone, I take backup by from internal to external SD card; I had to do this manually.
Few folders are there, where thousands of files will be there; I tried to find a file browser which can give an option to copy only new/updated file/folder, but couldn't get one.
Currently I use ES file explorer pro, but it only checks for same name file/folder and if you click "Skip" on the popup, it will not check any further.
I do backup in my work and personal PC with windows by Robocopy scripts; is there any tool like robocopy for android?
Thanks!
hello,
I have a xiaomi redmi 9 pro phone.
rooted.
I used fstop app to move 80 photo from internal memory to sdcard. sdcard was full and the move has been done and create 0kb file in sdcard.
Photo from inernal memory have been deleted by the app.
I used a lot of app to look for my lost photo but I don't find stuff. I found a lot of "not deleted photo". I don't find any usefull tool that could ignore not deleted files (whatapp and my personnal photo are quite huge, more than 4000 photos).
also I'm surprised not to find a lot of thumbnail because there should be a lot of thumbnail on my phone and also a lot of deleted thumbnail.
I have the date and name of deleted photo isn't there a clever tool that exist and could find them ?
using tool like diskdigger or undeleter that need root access, I don't find stuff, even when looking in a lot of volume. What I'm missing ?
My dream tool :
look for really deleted file
if there are real file : filter by folder, by filename, date, etc.
do you have some tips for me ?
If you have rooted your phone and used several Android recovery tools, but none of them have scanned your lost photos. It is possible that they have been overwritten by new files. The overwritten files cannot be recovered.
That's what happens when you MOVE a file from one drive ( internal sdcard ) to another drive ( external sdcard ):
The file contents are copied in full to some location on the target disk drive.
The directory of the target folder on the target drive is updated to include the new file copied.
The directory of the source folder where the file used to reside is updated to no longer list the file. This causes the actual data for that file on the source drive to be released and marked as unused space.
