Hello guys, I have this s7 duos (gt-g9305fd) (UAE), I rooted it about a week ago and everything was going okay, but yesterday while I was playing with developer options I turned on OEM lock/relocked it, and then after the phone restarted I got this message "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock", I searched for solutions online and I read that I have to flash the stock rom to fix the issue, so I did (Indian Stock Rom). After that, I booted it up and got several "x is responsive messages" (android.process.media, my files, Google x, Google y, Google z) so I thought it's a permission issue so I rooted it again, but that doesn't seem to fix the issue .. Is there a way to fix this?

Try to go in and force stop android.process.media and cmlear its data and reboot. If that does not work jreinstall stock firmware with odin.

How can I force stop android.process.media, what app is that? Also, I did flash stock firmware and that's the only reason I'm getting these errors.. I'm guessing it has to do with Google * apps or some stock app(my files gets unresponsive too, also can't see anything from gallery/my files)

I have a Sony Xperia Z5. This morning I did a system update and my Google Store and Services stopped working. I went to the help site and did what I was instructed to do. Now I can not open my phone. The messages are Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped and the other message is Unfortunately, System UI has stopped. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Denise
I too am in the same situation phone has the same posts regarding Google play services have stopped working and the UI has stopped, I can't get into my phone or shut off my alarm...
Simple . Do a factory reset whenever you upgrade the system firmware. Easy as 123. Hope that helps..

Expect people have been reporting that factory reset in this case makes it worse.
Now for some SystemUI crashes, leaving the phone unusable.

Have you wiped both the cache and dalvik cache in custom recovery??? If not. Give that a go, and let me know how it turns out.

It won't turn out well I'll tell you that.
Because the phone is not rooted.
It was an OTA update.
And before you ask. There is currently no way to root my phone.

Yeah, Then if you're phone is completely stock, with OTA updates, Doing a factory Reset and Cache Clean SHOULD fix the problem .. i dont see why it wouldn't unless its incompatible with your phone, but thats highly doubtful..
EDIT:: Try this, Go in to Settings>Apps>Google PLay Services> Clear Cache
Then Settings>Apps>System Apps>System UI>Clear Cache.
Reboot Device..
Good Luck!

There are a couple of discussions already. I've also called Sony support about it. They say they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. In the meantime they recommend downloading Xperia Companion and doing a software repair. That being said, some people report that factory reset fixed it, others say that neither factory reset nor software repair fixed it. In some cases factory reset or software repair
I personally tried manually installing latest APKs, clearing data etc. The only thing I was able to achieve so far is getting rid of constant error popups by disabling google play services in settings > apps
Some have reported that doing a factory reset makes it worse.
So now I'm sitting tight and waiting for further developments.

@TheTecXpert
Clearing cache on apps doesn't work
Factory reset in some cases makes it worse.
Can't clean dalvik cache without root.
Can't even get the device into bootloader
Really, I think we just sit and wait for Sony to fix this

Yeah i'm speaking from a rooted device point of view my apologies.. Because I am actually rooted, i Dont have any errors.. But if Sony In indeed Aware of the problem and are currently working on a fix,
then i gues that'll be your best bet and just wait for sony to pull through..
Which they always do

1. Rooted phone 2 months ago
2. Factory reset because it kept restarting.
3. After factory reset the phone wouldn't go past the lgsetup.
4. Used the wrong img file and bricked phone.
5. Fixed with the right img file. (Always check md5!)
6. After I got everything working I updated to MM.
7. Since MM update I get the following error "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped." and Mobile ID is stuck on download.
Pretty sure I broke it by updating. Any help is greatly appreciated!

That mobileID thing is tiny carrier specific unnecessary app, you just have to disable. The google play store has stopped is either going to have to be factory reset whereas you'll be better off resetting from recovery, OR send it to LG , they'll fix it for free and send you a free postage label, takes like 10 days.

That's probably what messed you up.
Never factory reset from settings on a rooted phone.
I don't have the Boost version of the Stylo but there is no custom recovery (TWRP) for that model, is there?
Yeah. No custom yet. I was able to fix the lgsetup issue. Now it's just an issue with Google Play store not working now.
I was thinking about trying to do another reset but am worried I'll break it again. And this time there is no good way to unbrick MM.

Hi,
I did all the steps, however, I have a problem. I tried to do the same things again and again and I checked if I had been using the correct version; all were ok but the phone enters loop mode when it is optimizing apps. The phone is restarted without stopping in the same point, I can't access to desktop.
Anyone can help me?. Thanks!
P.S: I tried to use my poor level of English. Sorry

Hi!. I solved my problems, I can help you guy. For me, the key was to download these drivers: motorola-global-portal.custhelp. com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88481 (Sorry, I need more than 10 messages to send a link, please, erase the spaces...) (from Motorola). I sent a fastboot image and all the problems were solved.

Hi
How did you upgrade?
OTA , flashing??
If OTA did you upgrade al your apps , maybe one of them is making trouble
If flashing , how? and also did you upgrade your apps
Hey, thanks for the answer. It was OTA. I suppose all apps are up to date since I restored to factory settings and re-installed them.
The problem is still there even in safe mode...

Hi
yeah is odd , i would think it has to be app related .....
When you get the error ..after you introduce the password? what about if you ask your phone to forget your old connection , it allows you to connect to the new one then?
I would try to wipe dalvik and cache from recovery and /or reflash stock rom again..maybe something went wrong at least the modem

I tried to wipe the cache with no success. I am on a trip right now, and I cannot wipe the dalvik for the moment.
I figured out a walkthrough though using a third party app called "WIFI manager". I even managed to install a certificate and use it for a connection to an "eduroam" network...
