First sorry for my english, im french..xD
I have some "backlight flickering" problem on my MI4C.
There is quick varitions of backlight intensity at random times.
I had this problem with MIUI so i flashed cm-12.1-20151016, and more problems.
But i updated to CM12.1 cm-12.1-20151112-UNOFFICIAL-libra and the problem is back.
Do you have a solution ??

Ty for you answer, but it's not just the brightness who change but more the backlight doing like flashes.
I found a youtube video with similar problem.
But i cant post link.

In miui the problem should be already fixed in 5.11.5, at least this is in the changelog.
Wow it is weird. I don't have that either (nor miui nor cm)
Yes i saw this for miui but i didnt tried, i changed for CM12.1 just before.
But i didn't saw the problem on the first CM build.
It's strange.
It happened to me twice. 5.11.5 the problem still continues. Now I use 5.11.12 not yet any flickering:fingers-crossed:
What if you change the level of adaptive display ? It is like you are on the edge between two different states and the phone doesn't know which one to choose.

I tried with low or high level of brightness and with adaptativ display on and off.
Same.
Hi everybody,
It happened again today so i tried differents things:
-Disabled Double Tap 2 Wake (1 of the new feature of the cm update): useless
-Turn ON the option to Disable HW Overlays (I saw on internet that can solve some screen flickering problems): wait and see
there is a risk ??
-I enabled performance mod on battery settings:
Is it good or not ?
Is it useless if im already using kernel adiutor set in on demand ??

I had a similiar problem with my Mi4 and managed to solve the problem by flashing this kernel after flashing CM: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24686681827314188
Little downside is; the kernel has a double-tap-to-wake-feature, which gives me some random unlocks in my pocket.

after the last security update (plus some bugfix I think) to G930FXXU1DQEI sw version, brand Vodafone, I'm facing the following issues on my S7 flat:
A wrong background shape for some popups and a strange black spot on the selector , only in google now settings. Please check the attached pictures
I already tried to fix them by recovery with an hard reset without success.

Definitely odd
I would flash (odin) firmware again , use home-csc ( same CSC that is in your phone right now) so you do not loose any data
After some attempts I can say this issue happens moving the screen resolution from FHD to HD.
I flashed the rom by Odin and worked fine, at the beginning.
After the screen resolution mod the issue is still there.
Moving the resolution to FHD again and switch off/on the issue is not present.

Hi,
I can confirm this is a bug, to be honest I don't know if it was present in the previous build. I tried to reproduce on another S7 (brand tim) and it is present.
Basically the steps to reproduce this issue are:
Change the screen resolution to HD and restart the phone. Uninstall an app and check the text box shape.
Probably you will find other problem in google now search bar or settings
To fix this issue move from HD to FHD.
I have listed some of bugs and some software changes need to be made, so that MI A1 will be an perfect mobile.
1. Slow motion (Bug).
2. Electronic image stabilization (EIS).
3. Fingerprint scanner (Animation is slow).
4. Night mode in display (Blue filter).
5. Double tap (Wake up screen).
6. Selfies (Take pics with fingerprint).
7. FM (Radio).
8. Enable flash in portrait mode.
9. Network Stablity Isssue (Bug).
10. Front camera pictures are soft (Lacks detail and sharpness).
11. Low light photography (Noise must be reduced and details must be improved).
12. Ambient display (If i receive any notification, when i clicked, it is not responding).
Does this phone have FM radio (hardware)?

No matter where you live or what xiaomi phone you have just put .eu ROM its a stock based extremly optimized even better than official global, and supports many languages..

Another issue that I seem to be having is with notification tray. When I unlock the device and swipe down to open the notifications, it lags horrendously, same when I try to swipe up or away them. Everything else seems to be pretty good.

I have also observed the same bugs/issues that need to be fixed in Mi A1. All of the bugs can be fixed with a software patch/update.
I would like to add that the call app doesn't display caller pictures. It instead displays a blue wallpaper.
The ambient display feature works but the screen doesn't activate when we tap on the screen like it should or does on other phones which have an ambient display.
The slo-mo is more like time lapse. It speeds up the rest of the video and plays the selected part at a normal speed.

thats what i thought but if you record a video in slo-mo then use something like quickpic to watch it back it really good quality (normal speed) video lol

Did it really fix it ? I still see the video being fast forwarded like a time lapse video. And why was the update so big for only security patches ?

Definitely fixed for me mate and I think there were a lot of bug fixes which would explain the size but there must a official list of bug fixes somewhere

and notice something happed to the screen when play hdr video on youtube
also the quality of taking picture from front camera in WhatsApp and snapchat improved
Snapchat's front camera photos are still beautified or not sharp.

Vivo customer service is awesome. The fingerpint not working/appearing issue with the last update, when AOD is off and proximity sensor(infrared sensor) is triggered is FIXED after discussion/video of issue with customer support

I am using Nova Launcher with the Nova Companion for the Google Feed. It was stuttering before and now it runs mch smoother.

Updated to 1.8.10 yesterday and tried using Lens and Assistant this morning but both seem broken. Lens says "thanks for updating, we will be available soon" or something like that. Assistant freezes the phone and won't open at all.
Anyone else have this problem?
Agreed that fps is faster but haven't noticed the other two.
Hmm....the stock "launcher" k8nd of restarts several times a day, like I go to home screen and it displays only loading... For a couple of seconds, then the homescreen apears...like after a fresh boot up?!

Happens to me too. Mostly when I go home after browsing the net.
Battery life after update now halved. Not a good update. I reported to support but doubt there will be a solution. Anyone else having poor battery life ?

I am not experiencing any problems everyone else is describing.
For me updated working very nicely. No issues in launcher and camera quality has been improved specially for selfie camera.
0 issues
Double tap to close the screen still doesn't work.
AOD still doesn't work with third party apps (except for WhatsApp).
Very few skins for AOD

A double tap to turn off the screen works but on the lock screen. You will wake up with a double throttle to wake up the screen and extinguish it with a double thump.

For custom launchers, try to clean cache files. I had faced some issues before cleaned caching
No issues after that, even in the duration of battery life
In my galaxy A30s when i set the fingerprint lock to the Display then screen having a green color on lock screen when i remove fingerprint screen will be normal this will be happened when screen brightness is low anyone having solution for that to screen is normal when brightness is low and no green color on the Display
Maybe something wrong with your display?
Are you using a custom ROM, or do you have any Magisk Modules?
If no, then it is probably a display issue.
You could try to flash the stock firmware, or factory reset.

No in my phone I will use the stock oneui rom
If I install custom rom it the display is normal but in oneui when fingerprint will add then display problem will occur otherwise the display is good as normal

There is definitely something wrong with your display, and I don't think you can fix it without a replacement. Sorry, but I really don't think there is anything you can do other than replacing it.

I thought of its normal on all device!
When i applied my custom wallpaper on lockscreen i slightly noticed its color is different from original pic so i changed pic and applied some dark wallpaper and now its fully green , it can be noticed easily!
You can remove fingerprint sensor (which i do)
Or
Use perfect wallpaper or use samsung wallpapers!

There's nothing wrong with your display. Its a bug and a lot of ppl have it, including me. It happens with the lockscreen with inscreen fingerprint. In my case, if i rise the brightness it fixs but only for a while. Probably the next update will fix it
