Maybe you received an answer?
I bought a Korean version Note 10.1 tablet and have no trouble updating, as long as it is on the official firmware.
The problems you possibly face are LTE related.
Since you are looking at a Korean version, the LTE bands are limited on the phone and do not typically match the USA carerriers.
I took my device to the states......put a straight talk sim card in........3G works......HSDPA works.......but NEVER LTE.
However......when I took the same device to Japan.....I did manage to pick up a LTE frequency.
OH JOY
SO......if you are ok with 3G speeds.....go for it.
The is a global version....the 920F andfrom what I see,it has the correct freqs for AT&T and T-Mobile.
Still risky....and an expensive experiment.
I used to use a SK Telecom version (Korean) of the Galaxy S3 in the U.S. with AT&T, and I couldn't receive any OTA's unless I was using the SK Telecom sim. I think this still stands with the S6.
a friend of mine has bought sm-g920k, the contact in his list has automatically change it to korean, anyone can help?

Note 5 n920g to n920t. Indian version to American version.

Hey guys, I bought a titanium silver note 5 and it came from india. I'm using it on tmobile right now and love it, but I don't have access to all the apps on the app store, including samsung pay. I wish to purchase the tmobile version on it, but I can't find the rom. Is there any way of putting the tmobile rom on it or just getting a fix to it. Thanks in advanced.
N920G
Does the LTE on the indian note 5 work? All the bands and frequencies. Is there anything that doesnt work apart from Samsung Pay because I wanted a silver note 5 to use on T Mobile but wasnt sure about the compatibility.

S7 Edge Retail model no cell bands?

Hello all, does anyone know about the retail demo models of the S7 Edge? I am selling a apple watch on craigslist and someone offered me a S7 edge with no cell bands..
Here is his email.. "I have a Samsung galaxy s7 edge gold retail X model. It works fine the only thing is it won't work as a phone no cell bands in the phone. So basically a android tablet in phone form. "
Just wondering if that is legit and is there a way to get it to work as a phone with a normal sim card>? Or is this person pulling my leg
Thanks
this is a test phone probably.... thats why it doesnt have any band cell so u probably wont be able to even put sim card in to....u can use this device like a mp3 player or ipod.... thats about it afaik.
IIRC someone here managed to flash a stock ROM to a demo unit and it worked as a normal phone afterwards

[HELP thread] Japanese S10 from AU carrier change to international ROM

Hello,
I'm having some doubts about either changing the rom of my S10 or not, currently I have a phone which is unlocked from a carrier in Japan belonging to the AU company MODEL number : SCV41, the problem is that I'm not in Japan anymore I'm in Chile, the issue comes when I try to use the phone in Chile ,it works generally but many times I don't receive the calls or sometimes I receive them but the person on the other side doesn't hear me. I assume this is an issue with the cell phone bands networks being different in each country since the phone works perfectly aside from that, so my question is would this change if I change to the International version ROM? I read that the international version of the Samsung S10 came with the Snapdragon variant same as the Japanese version of the same phone, the Chilean S10 came with the exynos variant so in Theory it wouldn't be compatible with my phone? Do anyone knows if the International ROM would fix my issue? I have never flashed any phone so I don't want to mess up my phone. If anyone could guide me I would be really tankful.
Kind regards
