Hi there,
I've been working this project quite sometime. Its Rooted App. With this you can move apps to remote cloud. Note this is safe. Since this app won't touch user data like email/photo etc. It moves only the app binary (apk file). This apk file is what you download from Play Store.
At high-level this is how it works:
1) You install the app from Play Store. (For example - Mekorama -its around 5MB)
2) Now with the help of AppBox you can move this app to Cloud. 5MB Internal storage is freed-up.
3) From now onwards, the app will be available only from Cloud over network.

It's available under private-beta testing, If you have Rooted device, internet connection and want to test/check it - Send me your email id.
In future, if needed, depending on requirement - later we plan to add moving data (files & folders) to cloud. There exists Android Instant apps, but I'm not quite sure how it works & whether its available for all existing apps. If you have comments or feedback - please let me know. thanks!

To be honest, if we didn't get proof that this works on at-least 3 or 4 model of Rooted device with beta-testing, this will never reach general public! Please read the steps below and drop me message/email with issues. Thank you.

LilAnt530 also reported similar issue. If you run 'ps | grep appbox' can you see appbox daemon(/system/xbin/ab/library/armeabi/appbox) running? If not, please reboot the device and simply open the app. Without going to settings you can re-check ps command again. If it shows up, go ahead with settings.

edit: The force close comes from the directory "/dbdata/databases" not existing hm...
Where would the directory be located on the HD2 ?

I just uploaded a new version which should not force close, but it seems you don't have that directory /dbdata/databases either.

It seems that the problem of files remaining on the device in /dbdata/databases after uninstalling the app is only existant on Samsung devices.
You can run the app, but there probably won't be anything to show on a non Samsung device.
Yea, thats what happened, all it said was that folder not found. Sorry I dont speak programming, just teck. And Im pretty sure it dosnt matter if I have a rooted phone but im guessing it wouldnt hurt to tell you that im running unrevoked forever on my HTC incredible (not like the app has to cater just me) but i could really use something like this. I put my phone to work like i do my laptop, (you would have to see it to get that)

Thanks, this is very intresting. So the vibrant has this folder too.
The question now would be if this bug does not exist on the vibrant or if it just luck and you have a very clean device .

Did you followed every steps properly?
Did you made MyXperia as device administrator?
Please follow every steps one by one
& if the web portal is showing already logged in, then log out from the portal first & activate MyXeria then go to the web portal & log in again with same gid, hope it will work...
Sometime after reboot MyXperia shows fc, but don't worry, it(MyXperia) automatically restart & will work properly. You can check this by going the MyXperia option... :good:

Are you using tipo(st21i)??? This is strange, I'm also using tipo(st21i) & this app working perfectly on my tipo... Initially it showed some problem like "MyXperia not activated", fc etc. but now it is working just perfectly...
Please delete the file from your device follow the steps again...:fingers-crossed:

Does the proper working of this have anything to do with deodex...?
I had gimlo which is deodexed, and I had no fc.... then switched to .27, and rooted, and installed this, had fcs after every reboot... I deodex it two days later... and fcs stopped....
Could be coincidence or is there some logic behind this...? :what::what:

Dear Hamidreza, as el_easy said we do not want to bypass commercial apps to use them for free or crack them etc...
We want to make a parallel way to download original free apps for some good reason's as I mentioned some of reasons on the 1st post

Thanks for your reply, It is likely the server side error, as I checked the host and everything is normal and we have a lot of bandwith and storage right now! some of our visitors that using a proxy or vpn or etc reported the same error, is it possible to tell me that you are using any proxy or etc??

i'm on galaxy tab s T800 AICP rom, magisk root. installed the app but superuser denied the app, some advice?

Can you describe a little more? So I am able to help you
Which version of the app?
Did the app requested the permission? ( starting from v1.7)
If It didn't are you able to check your su manager app for app permission?

ok will try :silly: i'm on AICP 7.1.1, magisk superuser and busybox (galaxy tab s 10.5 - T800)
the app (1.7) does not request for permission

The app won't ask u for root permission when u open the app
It will only request when you try to go to apk + data backup part
Try this and then give me feedback :
- click on any app when you open apk backup +
- after clicking on any app click on the first option ( app + data backup ) in the dialog that will show ( 4 options )
Then hold a sec it will ask you for root permission ( only 1st time you open the app)

Is it possible to include BusyBox in the app somehow, so you don't have to download a third party app?
And some feature requests:
- WiFi and Bluetooth connections backup.
- In app purchase to remove ads.
- Translations.

hi , thanks for feedback and for using my app
yes it is possible , will use small extra amount of size/download size , but i can add it , and copy/install it automatically , will work on adding that (was going to do it on later updates)
yes i can add wifi and bluetooth backup
sure i can add inapp
will make translation available in next releases

sorry i'm late (lazy:silly finally i've got it to work, but i'ts very buggy. need to be patient ?
after hold an app a sec and tick app + data backup a toast come up "su denied ...", pressed task and suddenly su ask for permission, ok make a backup and it works ? but i need minutes for that. ok it's still beta. will stay with the app and waiting for updates. will try it on my phone too (6.0.1) thx buddy ?

- Google Drive / Dropbox integration

You mean some kind of group In Google plus?
It's good if it was ad-free and without internet permission!

internet permission is only for the ad , but it will have adfree soon , didn't had time to work on that , working on main app itself

Dear all thise who are using custom rom here is the app called migrate which backup all your app data (whatsapp,alaram, settings) etc
After backup you can flash that zip from twrp
I have tried and got all my app with data
App features:
Backup:
1. All apps
2. All app data
3. All app permissions
4. SMS messages
5. Call logs
6. Contacts
7. Screen DPI
8. Default keyboard option.
... and restore in your new ROM in a unique way.
First backup everything. Then flash your new ROM. Now (surprise) flash the backup zip file(s)! Yes, a part of the restoration process occurs via TWRP recovery. Make sure to root your new custom ROM with Magisk.
Once everything is flashed, boot up your new ROM. You'll get a notification to continue the restoration process. Grant root access and relax until everything is restored.
