[Completed] Kyocera Duraforce Pro - XDA Assist

I recently got this phone (because Samsung's claims of waterproofness on their active line are BS IME).
Unfortunately there's no mention of it on the forums here that I can find, but I'm hoping there will be, since it does seem the predecessor was able to be rooted.
I'm willing to pay a bounty if someone can figure out how to root this phone

[Completed] [Q] Sprint Note 3 flashed to Boost Mobile ROM

Hello, i have a SM-N900P note 3 originally on sprint, now flashed to Boost Mobile. I bought it brand new. It has android version 4.4.2 and im wanting to update to Lollipop on either a official version, or unofficial....whichever more stable. I paid a person to flash it to boost and he did so remotely, ive attempted to contact him for information on his process but have not been responded to. It is rooted and has TWRP and a full nandroid back up.
Please help me, im scared to try flashing a rom then ruining the ''boost flash''.
I can attatch pictures from my About Device if safe and helpful.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Paying someone to alter your device has left you in a position where you have a modified phone but no knowledge on how it got to that state or how to proceed. I firmly believe that if you can't take the time to learn how to do these things for yourself then you shouldn't be doing them at all. Having a modified phone, and working with a modified phone, requires a certain level of knowledge, it requires research, it requires work. Now you can see that taking the easy way initially hasn't really benefited you in the long run. Anyway, you have a lot of learning to do, Samsung phones can be especially difficult to modify due to the way that they're locked down. You're going to need to head over to the Sprint Note 3 section and start doing as much reading as you can. I can't really point to one specific thread because there's so much information that you need to take in. If you get stuck though there's a q&a section that you can ask for help in. Here's a link to the Sprint Note 3 device forum:

Lol look man, I am very familiar with flashing stock Roms and custom roms. As well as most other device modifications. I reached out for advice in hopes of hearing someone's output that may have already done this type of procedure.with that being said,if I can afford to pay someone to do what I may simply not have TIME to do,then that's my prerogative. These forums are to help people, not to write a reply that is in no way helpful. Maybe you should be the one that needs to do more reading. ☺??
P.s.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 flashed to Boost Mobile and pay only $35 a month, I'd say I was very benefited. Lmfao ???? You mad bro? ???

You came here for help and yet you LOL at the help....
Sounds like you take your device back to the carrier and stay stock but you also stated you are familiar with flashing, and yet you are "scared".
And sounds like you should be doing the reading, after all you came here to ask, vice searching and reading for yourself. Nevertheless
Good Luck and Thread Closed.

Hello,
timmaaa pointed you in the right direction, and as he suggested you will get more help posting your question in the device specific forum.
XDA Assist is not a "Support" forum it is to guide new users to areas they can find the help they need.
Please post your question in the link above or the Sprint Note 3 Q&A section to get the answer/help you are looking for.
Thread closed.
Thanks for understanding,

[Completed] Bought used phone, got carrier blacklisted 30 days later. Any way to fix?

Hello peoples,
Title says it all really. Bought a used phone, apparently the seller stopped paying the equipment contract at Tmobile after or shortly before they sold it to me. After 30 days of me using it with no problems, it suddenly couldn't get a signal at all, and the tmobile store said it was "locked for nonpayment" from the original owner. They apologized, said they cant remove the lock, and gave me a loaner phone to use for 2 weeks while I figure out getting a new phone.
I have seen ebay sellers who offer to remove a phone from the blacklist, but they want you to DL software on your pc and allow remote access etc. All stuff i wouldn't do in a million years.
If there is any way to fix this problem so I can actually use my expensive phone, please reply here or send me a message. thanks for any and all help.
(The phone is a Tmobile Galaxy S5, running cyanogenmod 12.1 but can be flashed back to stock to fix this problem if possible).

[Completed] Newbie Help - Root Verizon Phones

Hi - I am new to this site and it's my first post. I am a newbie in RE: rooting Android devices. I have jailbroken iPhone's in the past but it seems that rooting is a bit more involved. Long story short, I have a lot of mobile electronics that require a rooted Android device now and I am at a loss as far as what to get and how to root. I have a few out of contract phones on the Verizon network but none are Android. I need a newer phone that has the Miracast (or cast screen) capabilities with preferably a removable battery, microSD card slot, and a microUSB connection. I went to the root section and not too many of the "newer" phones were listed. I did see the HTC 10 was listed with videos explaining all the steps and then read further in the thread to see that Verizon has somehow hidden the Bootloader (or something to that effect) and it can't be rooted at this time.
Long story short, does anyone know of a phone from Verizon that supports Miracast (or cast screen) and that can be rooted today? If not, I may have to look for an unlocked phone.
Again, I'm a newbie and unfortunately need a lot of guidance at this point but hopefully someday I will be able to assist others as I do on other forums for other things.
Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I could offer a specific device (LG V10 for example) but don't see any info regarding rooting that model (unless it's too new). Ok, I'll ask over in the other forum.
Thanks again.

[Completed] Phone Smashed, Looking For Recovery Company

I posted this on the Sprint S6 forum, but thought it may be able to get more attention here. My father smashed his phone. I was wondering if anyone new of a company that can retrieve pictures with a Riff Box or similar without the phone booting.
Thanks.
Hi,
It seems that you already found the best place on XDA to post your question.
Please continue your journey there

[Completed] lg k3 lslg450avb IS NOT LISTED anywhere for root exploit type

this is a repeat thread of how to root LG K3 lslg450avb, the other thread was totally ignored by the snub moderator who didnt even read the question.
one more time and keep out of this thread until it gets assisted dear mod
The LG K3 LSLG450AVB is not listed on xda forums device root list and there is no documentation other than the scummy root sites that make money from it are willing to claim any phone that you search is on their list
So can some one elaborate, how do you communicate with a boot loaded in an lg device? the k3 is a 30 dollar phone so it is probabbly a switched up version of an older chipset since companies are cheap and like to reuse parts
If it matters, boost mobile, and i think all k3s use micro sim right
If some one could help that'd be great, i dont get much electrucity where i live so an unlocked machine that also gets internet would kinda help a negro out here, thx and have a nice day

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately no one has managed to achieve root for your device yet that is why there is no documentation for it. Attempts to root your device are being discussed here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/to-root-lg-k3-t3423584
unless someone manages to achieve root there is little we can do
Regards
