Hi guys, using my Nexus 5 I noticed the brightness was very inconsistent, even with auto brightness turned off the screen seems to dim occasionally and then go back to full brightness during use.
Have you noticed it too, and is there any way to stop it from happening? I would really like to be able to enjoy the beautiful screen at full brightness without it going dim randomly, thanks.

Yes I noticed it too, but don't know if it is a software bug or a feature to prevent from overheating (like Samsung devices do) or a hardware problem. It is quite annoying!
Now that I've had my phone for a couple of days I've noticed that the Always On Display automatically dims when you enter a dark room, and becomes much brighter when exposed to light. The problems is that it's too dark to be particularly useful when it's dimmed. I've searched, but can't find a way to adjust the level of brightness for the AOD.
Anyone else noticing this problem? Anyone aware of a method or an app which can remedy it?
Thanks!
Mines is the other way around 95% of the time the screen is very bright to me.
I wish there was a setting for it but i cant find one.
Had a few slight issues with my xz premium,
The screen flickers light and dark and when using slo mo the screen just goes jumbled with black and purple lines.
Anyone else had the issue?
I noticed the same issue (flickering screen). It only appears when it's pretty sunny and disappears after a few seconds. I hope an update can solve it...
Adaptive brightness is turned off.
Hey guys,
I have bought oneplus 8t after it's launch and never had seen this issue before. From today onwards I'm seeing screen flickering on the lock screen. I might have missed this before or this is just in my device. I usually put dark wall on the lock screen. Yesterday I changed that to a bright one. The flickering is visible when the screen brightness is really low and screen is turned on and the first time is really bad, it is taking time to adjust and the following takes less time to adjust.
Please let me know if this is a rare care in my device or this is happening to everyone.
Edit - I'm also noticing weird color shift in chrome browser. White to warm white color
Color shift in chrome was due to a chrome flag, disabling it fixed that one.
I noticed that unlocking screen with fingerprint with display set up in wqhd, natural and adaptive mode, produces this glitch :
, anyone noticed the same?
I have exynos version.

that glitch happens before you even touch the fingerprint part. happens as soon as the screen comes on. looks like a digitizer problem.
It only happens using default animated lock screen
prob glitch with the actual wallpaper animation
Also happens on S21U has been present since October
Edit:- smaller glitch on S21U however
I never noticed it on my S21 Ultra.
I had this issue too, just got mine delivered today and had this issue when touching the fingerprint sensor, also I had the animated lock screen set, I just changed it to a static one, I'll get back if the problem persists
Same exact problem here too (Exynos 512/12).
Edit: The glitch only occurs when using 3088x1440 wqhd+ resolution and dynamic animated lock screen. Position of the screen interference is always the same but can differ in size.
I tried more than one animated wallpapers, it only seems to have the issue with the pre-installed animated wallpapers though, with the other I downloaded it works fine
It also happening switching from 108mp to 4/3, but not every times. I also noticed that glitch sometimes doesn't go away if camera is set up to 108mp until i switch to an another camera mode.
